Change the Apple ID to a new one without a password?

I'm working on a company Imac IOS10.10.3. A former employe made an Apple ID on this machine. How can I erase or change the Apple ID to a new one without a password?
It's impossible now to update update certain apps like Imovie.

In the intro of the "Change Apple ID" is written:
"You can change your Apple ID to any other email address you control, as long as it's not already in use as an Apple ID."
That's my problem, it's al ready in use of an other Apple ID.

Are you trying to change the Apple ID associated with your iCloud account?  If so, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID.  This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud.  Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
To avoid losing photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account.  To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.

I created an Apple ID for iTunes using a work email address and left that company before I had an opportunity to change the email and password for that same account.  Now I can't seem to login to that account and I can't choose the option for forgot password because it will send email to the old workplace.  How do I change the email address to a new one that I can access?

If you remeber the password to that Apple ID then follow these steps
1 - Make sure you have an email address that is NOT an Apple ID
    2 - Go to AppleID.Apple.com
3 - Where it reads Manage Apple ID - Sign in
Once you are signed in want to make sure the email address you are wanting to use is NOT set up as a "Recovery/Rescue" email for this account.
[To check this - Main page where you see Primary ID - below do you see the email address you want to use listed towards the bottom? Yes - Delete / No - Good ./. If made any adjustments "Save" Next on the left select "Password & Security" - Answer your security questions you set up "if you have any" then scroll towards the bottom and check to see if you see the email address you want to use. Yes - Delete / No - Good] <-> Also you can change your password on this page as well. Any adjustments made "Save"
Once this is done go back to the main page where you should read "Primary ID" and change the email address that is showing to the new email address youo want. "Save" Done
I learned this not to long ago and worked for me. Hope this helps you!

I changed my Apple ID to a new one, but I can't change it on my iPod Touch. What do I need to do?

Without know where you are tying to change the ID on the iPod and what happens when you try:
    CHANGE ID
The ID is used in the following locations and you  have to change them.
    Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
    Settings>FaceTime
    Settings>GameCenter
    Settings>iCloud
    and Settings>iTunes and App store
You  have to sign out of ID (for iCloud you delete the iCloud account from the iPod) and sign in with other ID.
Note the following are resolved if you  use Family Sharing (iOS 8 and later):
    - Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
    - To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
If the iPod has iOS 7 or later then you have the enter the password for Apple ID presently sign in Settings>iCloud.
Also, a Restriction can be set (Settings>General>Restrictions) the prevents changing accounts

I bought a brand new Mac 27" desktop that came loaded with Adobe CS6. Everything worked like a charm until the hard drive, 1Tb, developed a bad sector and the Apple Store reinstalled a new one as I had extended warranty with them. They recycled the drive immediately (like a fool I didn't ask for it back to get the data off it.) But luckily I have all my data on CrashPlan. I downloaded it and it worked great except I downloaded it to the desktop and not the original location so it got squirrely. I also have an external 1.5Tb drive that I wanted to make bootable so I installed Mavericks 10.9.3 . I then went ahead and installed it on the newly installed drive too.
I think that because I have a new drive Adobe thinks I have a news computer. I bought the 27" Mac brand new from Ebay and it came loaded with software, including CS6. I have a serial number for CS6 but Adobe said it wasn't valid. (I have owned CS2, CS4 and now CS6 which came preloaded onto the Mac by the seller who told me that the software was registered to the Mac???
I am going to re-download the backup but this time to the original location (I still don't think it will work with Adobe. What can I do about this?

  • How do I change the apple id on my new phone

How do I change the apple id on my new phone?

If you want to change your iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted.  If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • How do you reset the Apple ID to a new one for the automatic updates download tool?  It defaults to my old Apple ID, even though I have changed the Apple ID to the new one everywhere I can find.

I have an original Apple ID from my personal iPhone and iPad.  I bought a MacBook Pro for business and the Apple Store clerk told me to use the old Apple ID to make setup faster and that I could change to a new one later.   So... I did all that and changed the Apple ID everywhere I can find a place to do so.  And everything seems okay, except the Automatic Updates download tool defaults back to my original Apple ID.  That old Apple ID is grayed out in the login, so I cannot seem to change it to download and update under my new, business-related Apple ID for my MacBook Pro.  What to do?

Yes, absolutely, you can still use the old ID to update, etc., but I understood the OP to want to simply discard the old one and use only the new one. Maybe I misunderstood...
And, actually just now re-reading the first post, it could be that the ID had only been associated with the iDevices, so if he established a new ID and associated that with the new MBP, I frankly have no idea if he can still use the old ID on that machine (based on him saying that the old ID is greyed out) - have not come up with this type of situation before.

  • I have changed my apple id to a new one. I deleted the old email for the old apple id which is in yahoo. the new one is with gmail. I ahve changed the apple id on my phone. still theres a prompt always asking me to give my password for my old apple id.

In my previous iphone i have created an apple id connected to my yahoo email which is also my icloud id obviously. I decided to delete my yahoo email and changed it to gmail. I have changed my apple id as well. Now here is my problem. I have iphone 5 now. im trying to restore all my data through i cloud. Considering i have changed my email apple id etc, the old apple id is still showing. I have changed it online and deleted the yahoo apple id. but still on my phone its asking for the password of my yahoo apple id which no longer exist. Its bugging me off as i went to apple store and they dont know what to do as well. i tried restoring everything to orginal setting but once i get to the icloud bit, its all the same. up to now its asking for the old apple id password. I dont know how i can delete that as theres no button to delete it on the phone. i cant even restore my photos.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")

  • App Store - Changing old Apple ID to a new one defintively

    Hello,
I want to install new apps on my mac but an old Apple Id is proposed. I want to change it, because the old one is inactive.
But the "Popup" does not allow to do it.
I tried to Disconect and reconnect  with the new Apple Id but the old one comes again and again ...
    Some Ideas,
    Thank you.

Use the sign out function in the Mac App Store's Store menu to sign out of the old Apple ID and into the new Apple ID.
However; content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with another Apple ID with a new Apple ID.

  • HT203808 I can't change the Apple ID on my new phone after switching from my old phone.

I bought a new iPhone 5S and restored my iTunes info from an old backup.  I now have an old Apple ID in my new phone when I try to use iCloud.  The old Apple ID is defunct so I can't delete the account as I don't have the password.  I backed up my old phone again but when I plugged my new phone into the laptop it automatically backed up.  How can I restore from the lates backup of the old phone which had the new Apple ID info?

If the old ID is yours, and if your current ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID.

Yes. Take your iPhone as well so Apple can check warranty
status to see if the charger is covered.

  • How can i delete and apple id and create a new one without a password?

how can i delete and apple ID without a password so i can create a new one? thank u

It is not possible to delete an apple id completely. You can only delete information like credit card, adress, name... To do this, go to iTunes Store, click on your email adress in the upper right corner and enter your password. Now you can manage your account.
An apple id without password is not possible.
