Change the appleid on an ipad2.

I'm trying to change the apple id on an ipad2 that my husband was using.  He has some apps on it, but they are okay to loose.  I just don't want to loose any of the stored photos that I have on it.  I do have iCloud setup.
The message boards say that you need to sync the iPad with your computer after you change the apple ID.  I'm syncing the iPad with my computer for the first time since it was previously sync'd a long time ago on my husbands computer.
It's asking if I want to either
o Setup as a new iPad
o Restore from the backup of "Cindy's iPhone"
If I select "Setup as a new iPad" will it delete my stored photos?  What will get deleted?

If I select "Setup as a new iPad" will it delete my stored photos?  What will get deleted?
Yes, they will be deleted.
If the photos were taken by or saved to the iPod then connect the iPod to your computer and transfer/copy the photos to yur computer by:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
The Setup as new.
If the photos were synced to the iPod you either need a paid program to move them to your cojmpiter or just use your conmputer nework or a USB drive to copy them from his computer to your computer.

What do you mean by "change the Apple ID"? Are you trying to get a new ID from the one you currently have or just add a new ID to the computer?

Go into the System/iCloud preference pane and sign out.  Then sign back in with your Apple ID.  Also sign in to the App Store with your Apple ID. If you have purchased those apps previously you'll be able to download them for free from the Purchases section.

  • Change the appleid on a computer

We gave a MacBook (10.7) to granddaughter for college (smart girl, will use it well) which I set up initially which means it was born with my AppleID. She has her own ID, so I'd really like to switch it to hers, but i cant figure out where to do that. I found a KB article that suggested going thru iTunes but the instructions didn't match my iTunes version and I couldn't translate to my version.
So - how can I change the AppleID association on a computer from one ID to another?
    Thanks!

    Michael,
You can de-activate the machines you would not be using by following the procedure below:
    1. Launch any product from Creative Cloud.
    2. Go to Help>Deactivate.
    3. Once the deactivate is clicked close the application and the subscription is no longer valid on that machine.
When you want to re-activate the team subscription launch the app and then go click on license this software.
On next page it will ask for you Adobe ID, please login with new team subscription ID and it will activate your team subscription on it.
You can also refer to the documentation below on this:

  • I changed my AppleId online now how do I change the AppleId in my iPhone?

I went online and changed the email address for my AppleID to update it to my new address. Now I am trying to figure out how to change the AppleID in my iPhone so that it uses this new ID with the new email address. I can't find a way to do that. I tried Settings/Store but it only displays my old AppleID and has no way to update it. Any suggestions on how to either reset the AppleID on my iPhone or change it so I can access apps etc. again?
    Thanks,
    Jeff

Thanks Paul. This was not very intuitive, but once I did it it worked. There are several things that will throw someone off when they do this because after you sign out it, when you go to sign back in it asks if you want to use the same id again and its not apparent that it will let you change the email address at this point. So, one is more inclined to think they should use the option to create a new one which is the incorrect way to go. But, once I went ahead with the selection to use the same id it allowed me to put in the  new email address and everything worked fine from that point on. You answer was perfect, spot on! Thanks for solving the mystery.

Purchased an Iphone 5s but installed the wrong appleID that I used on an old account. How do you change the appleID

If it is on the iCloud Activation lock, then theres nothing you can do. But if your talking about the App Store, then go to the App Store, go to the featured tab, and go down to your Apple ID. Select it and press sign out. Then go back to the bottom and sign in.

  • Can we change the broken glass on IPAD2 ?

Can we change the broken glass on IPAD2 ?

Well my experience has been lousy.  I purchased my wife an iPad2 for Christmas.  Within two weeks, she grabbed it the wrong way while at the table and hit it on the corner.  The Glass cracked just around the top 1/2 section of the device across its entire width. We live in PR, but I purchased it online while at my home in NC.
I went online and after searching for info I was told by several people online that a one time replacement was often done by Apple.  So, I went online and made a Genius bar appointment to a store I knew.  I traveled to NC and to that store fifteen minutes before my appointment.  Needless to say, I waited 20 mintes past my appointment time to be told that warranty did not cover it, that the screen on these iPad2s cannot be replaced at the store and that instead I need an entire unit replacement.  A whooping $299.00 (I have a 16GB unit)
What ticks me off is not that it was not covered.  What does is that when I made my appointment I provided detailed comments on what was wrong.  Someone should have saved me the time I spent traveling to that store, sitting on a chair (store was not that full and plenty of blue shirt people just roaming around)
Someone could have told me warranty would not cover it before I went through all that travel.
    My solution:
Last Apple product I buy.  If I am going to pay premium prices for a device and this is my fourth Apple product, I expect some level of service that exceeds expectations.  Based on what I read online these screes are way too easily broken.  That is poor frame design in my view, or poor choice of materials for the screen.
Maybe Steve Jobs being gone is starting to show as a downhill trend on what we can expect from Apple in the future.
I will spend the $299.00 only to purchase a Droid based unit.  Apple just lost a customer.

How do I change the AppleID on ICloud on an Imac? If I choose System Preferences > ICloud > Account details  I can only digit the Name and Descriuption  but I do not know how to change the ID....

You mean you've changed the (non-Apple) email address which forms your ID and hence your login? You will need to sign out in System Preferences>iCloud and sign back in again, re-enabling the various data types you want to sync in the checklist there.

  • Change the AppleID of my Apps.

I gave my iPad to my son. Is it possible to change the AppleID of my Apps to my son´s?

Do not create a new ID.  He will have multiple IDs and the accompanying headaches.
Restore, if iTunes will let you.  Everything except the password will be restored.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  Be forewarned that it takes a long time.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

  • HT5621 I changed my appleid online, but I cannot change the appleid on my iPhone, it will not allow me to edit it under settings?

I changed my AppleId online and I cannot get the Id changed on my iPhone 4.  Settings will not allow me to edit the existing Id.  ???

To change your iCloud ID, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID.  This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud.  Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
To avoid losing photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account.  To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.

  • How do I change the appleID for the apple store icon on my IPad?

I have recently retired and my IPad that I used with my school email is now my private IPad.  I no longer have my school email, and had to change my primary email address to my private one.  I have changed my AppleID to use my private email, was able to change my FaceTime to the private email, but cannot find the setting to change the apple store setting to the private email on my IPad.  To top it off, I still have a credit amount on my Apple store account I don't want to lose.   I had assumed when I changed my Primary appleID it would change it for the app store.   It didn't. Help!

If you have a credit for the app store, it will be associated with the old email address unless you merely changed the email address associated with the Apple ID. If you created a new Apple ID that's a different story. It can get quite confusing at times. But first things first.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. You can sign out of the old ID there and sign in with the new one.
You can do the same thing in the App Store and in iTunes when in the featured or main page of each app. Your ID is located in the bottom left corner of the screen. You can tap the ID that is showing and sign out of the old ID there and sign in with the new one.

  • I changed my Icloud Email and Password on Itunes, Now i cannot change the AppleID on my Iphone 5

I changed my AppleID on 3 of my Iphones, but my Iphone 5 will not allow me access to change my AppleID in the Icloud Settings. How do  I change it?

You have to change the ID on the iPad and the iPod as well. On both devices, go to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID? Tap the old ID and sign out. Then sign in with the new ID.
