Change the home page to a login page

Hey,
I've set up web services so that they can be accessed from the open internet, however the home page is set to the standard OSX Server page (eg with details for the different services offered by the server). Is there any way to set this as a login page so users have to login before they get anything at all?
That is, I want users to login before they get anything from the server, rather than seeing a little then having to log in for more.
Thanks!

I have completely lost my safari.  I was getting an error and I lost the address bar.  I tried to fix it by changing the home page on the preferences.  I don't know what to put in the home page now.  How do I get safari back?

If you can open Safari go to the top of your screen, click Safari / Preferences then select the General stab. You can type in the web address for your Home page there.

  • I loaded a jZip programme, now whenever I start Firefox it open with the jZip search page and I can't permanently change the home page to my own selection. How can I get rid of theis iZip home page

I have tried all the optons to change the home page, but when I exit from Firefox and restart, it will revert to the iZip search engine home page. I even deleted the izip search engine reference from the searchplugin directory but with no success

You can open the <b>about:config</b> page via the location bar and do a search for <i>jzip</i> via the Filter at the top of the about:config page.<br />
You can reset all <i>jzip</i> related prefs via the right-click context menu to their default values.
To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />
You can use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a pref more easily.

  • My Dell Inspiron runs Vista, and I cannot change the home pages on my browser

I have a Dell Inspiron 530S running Vista. I updated Firefox to 5.0. I want to change the home page for one of the tabs. I change the tab to what I want, I go to Options - General - Use Current Page, and it seems to register. I then close Firefox and reopen it. When I do this, I get the old home page - not the one that was on the screen when I selected Options-General-UseCurrent Page on that tab.
What do I do in order to have that tab come up with the page I want when I invoke Firefox?

Make sure it says "'''Show My Home Page'''" in the first dropdown menu at the top before you try to change it.

  • Change the home page in PBC Web

    Hi all,
Does anyone how to change the home page that appears by default when we launch the BPC for web?
    Regards,
    Ana

First, make certain that you have security setup for access to the ZFP, or zero footprint on BPC web.  Next, the easiest method to change the opening page in BPC Web is to open the Web interface, and go to the Content Library.
Then click the name of the page, next to the Check box (in blue).  This will open the page and you may select, Modify this Page from the  Action pane on the right.  From here, you can edit the existing page, add a new page or content, delete the original content etc.  You add new content that is named and can move it around to fit your needs.  Each section is a named content area in the page. When done, save and preview the page.  All the work uses the Action Pane.
    Hope this helps.

  • Change the home page buttons

is there any way to change the home page buttons with other buttons from the menu?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Yes, there is.
Scroll to and choose (don't click on it, just have it highlighted) the icon you wish to move around and press the Menu key > Move. Scroll it to where you want it to be on the homescreen.
If the icon you want to be on the homscreen is now located in another folder, scroll to it and choose Menu > Move to Folder > Homescreen.

  • Change the home page for only a few users

    Hi,
I have a requirement of changing the first page in an application that a user sees when they log in.
However, this is only for a certain set of users whose user id is compared with a SELECT statement generated string.
I would like to keep the current home page (Page 1) for all current user except this new subset of user for which a different home page must be shown...
For this I tried hiding the main Home Pages tab only for this subset of user, but as soon as they log in they are able to see the home page.. is there any way of avoiding this?
    Thanks in advance
    Sid

On New Instance. After Authentication process
add a condition here where you can redirect users in a page depending on a condition?
what about this is this OK?

  • How do you change the home page of a tab?

My home page is google.nl, but if I open a tab, I don't see google.nl.

Your new tab can be changed to a different page. First, I suggest copying the URL of the page you want from the address bar, then:
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the filter box, type '''newtab''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) Double-click the '''browser.newtab.url''' preference and enter the desired value:
    ''(i) Page thumbnails (default)''
    about:newtab
    ''(ii) Blank tab''
    about:blank
    ''(iii) Built-in Firefox home page''
    about:home
    ''(iv) Any other page''
full URL to the page (paste what you copied)
Press Ctrl+t to open a new tab and verify that it worked. Fixed?

  • Why will firefox not allow me to change the home page

I am running firefox on vista laptop and since one of the upgrades of firefox I have now a automatic homepage of http://www.searchqu.com/406. I have tried to change it several times to various pages and it does not hold the address, not even a blank one. This happens even if I only close the browser for a split second. Can I please get some advise on this matter.
    Many Thanks

Type '''about:config''' in the Location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key. When you see a warning, click '''I'll be careful, I promise!''' button.
    * Preferences that have been modified are shown as '''bold (user set)'''.
    * Preferences can be '''Reset to the default''' or changed via the right-click context menu.
-> In the '''Filter bar''', type '''searchqu'''
    * This will show all '''searchqu''' related preferences.
    * '''Reset''' all '''searchqu''' related Preferences to their Default values (right-click a preference and click '''Reset''')
-> Close the '''about:config''' tab and then Restart Firefox.
Check and tell if its working.
