Change the inspection stock of material in qm only

Hi All,
Error I am getting while doing a Goods Movement is "change the inspection stock of material in qm only". Let me explain you what exactly happend.
We moved transports, some how moved transports deleted the existing Inspection types in Production system. So there were no inspection types available in the system untill we send another transport. During the period of the transport in transit Goods reciept agains the Purchase order is done. So inspection lots were not generated. So now inspection types exist due to another transport.
So Users complained about the inspectiion lots.
I told them to reverse the Goods reciept documents and do the Goods recipt again so that inspection lots get generated.
When they are trying to do 102 Mvt Type they are getting the error.
I was even trying to use 321 Mvt Type, still Unsussesful.
I tried de-activating the Inspection typem but system throwing an error "Quality stock exist".
Is there a way to Move stock from Quality to Unrestricted?
How to generate an Inspection lot for the existing stock to move the stock from quality to unrestricted?
QA01 inspection lot creation, i dont see the purchase order field. Is there any possibility of adding purchase order to the inspection lot?

activate 0800 inspection type in material master, its basically for stock which is in qulity and does not have a inspection lot.

Which transaction you are using because you just try with MBST( Cancel document ) with document number & check it may work for you.
If not please elaborate your scenario.

Hello,
I am trying to do GR with Movement type 105 and gettig the error message " Change the inspection stock of material 16 in QM only"
When I change the stock type from Quality to Unrestricted during 105 movement type, then I do not get this error message.
Scenario : I want Inspection lot to get generated with movement type 103 and not with movement type 105. And with my current settings, Inspection lot is getting generated with 103 and not with 105.
I want that, if I do GR with movement type 105, then the stock should go directly to unrestricted stock and not to Quality stock. BUt currently, it is giving me above mentioned error message.

Can you explain your business scenario.
Here is how standard SAP process is
1. Use movement 103 movement to receive PO in GR blocked stock
No inspection lot is created
2. Move material from GR blocked to own stock using 105 movement
This movement is identical to 101 movement. SAP will create Inspection lot if QM is activated.

Change the valuation class of material [Stock transport order scenario]

Dears,
Client would like to change the valuation class of material.
There is no open Purchase order/Process order/Purchase requistion and stock in plant.
Scenario- One Stock transport order is created.
For same goods issue (351-issuing plant) and goods receipt (101-receiving plant) is done.
When we are going to change the valuation class of said material, message is "purchase order is open
and it shows the no of STO [for which receipt and issue is done]"
To resolve this issue we had first delete the STO line item no(ME22N). Then change the valuation class.
(this allows). and then undelete the STO line item. Through this we can change the valuation class of material.
Please advise in such business process that this is right way or there may be other option.

Here's my take on how to fix:
*Manually change Config TCode OMT4 - change message MM 326 & 327 to type "W" (if open order exists...now you can enter through warning messages)
*If inventory exists, then issue out of stock to a cost center
*Change valuation class
*Put stock back into inventory (reverse to that same cost center) Note issue out and reverse back into inventory must happen in the same posting period.
**Valuation class should be changed as expected
**Manually change config TCode OMT4 - change message MM 326 & 327 back to type "E"

For indivial material you can change it from MM02 . ( Select Insp.setup under Quality Management view) and again choose for Create new Inspection Type
For multiple or mass change MM17

HI,
If you are using condion record, you can change the value for the required condition type so that it will flow to PO. IF you are not using that, you can change the price at the line item level in PO itself.

In Logistics Information system , ABC analysis can being done and results updated in Material master for ABC indicator by background job run.
The relevant transaction is MC40 ( Total Analysis) .
This transaction when run in backgroung with field "Update ABC Ind.in background processing mode" clicked, will update the ABC indicator appropriately.
You can find different criteria based on which A, B,C is decided.

Changing the profit center for Material impact on inventory turnover

Dear All,
Due to recent organization structure change, we have some up with new set of profit center in our organization.
This means that old profit center as case in point in material master should be changed to new ones, after flushing the stock out. Probably, by moving stock to cost center with movement type 201 and then after the profit center change we reverse with movement type 202.
We use standard SAP report MC.7 inventory turnover calculation. Based on this inventory turnover, we use this ratio to calculate the inventory obsolescence provisions.
So, our issue is the above movement profit center change by moving it to cost center, does it impact the inventory turnover?
Or alternatively, can use some other movement type which does not change the inventory turnover? So, that we are assured from our side, about no change on inventory turnover and subsequent the change to our inventory obsolescence provisions.
Please help me here.

hi everybody,
as i have installed sap 4.7 ides version on my home pc for practice , but hwenver i am creating the new material master in the system , i observe that in accounting1 tab the current period is 12 2002 , how should i change the current posting period so that i can start the transaction in current uear 2009 and then later i can work in 2010 ....
i have tried the transaction mmrv, mmpv, mmpi through some resources but i didnt know how to do the settings in the system in IMG (SPRO) kindly help me through , i have wasted lot of time in this..
i hope MM team will help me out of this...

Hi,
Check in OMSY Transaction that, Which current month and year is having your comapny code.
and go to T.Code MMPV
enter Next Month of that cureent period and Year
and Execute. You find the message that your current period has changed.
Do the same process month by month till reaches to current period and year.
