Change the language in Microsoft Office Student edition

Hi all,
I lived in Canada.
I just got my new MacBook Pro with the microsoft office mac home and student pre-installed. When I order it online, I don't have any choice to select the language. The only one language choice is just for the guide (not for software).
When I open my Mac, I got the microsoft office inside but with French language.
I'm wondering if I can change the language to English because I don't want the french one..Or do yo think that there's no solution except getting the new microsoft office CD with the english edition?
Thanks....

I bought it online so that I think I can't come to the store to ask for exchange . And also, I've opened the package. I'm wrong for not reading it first, I just notice that it says Office Mac Home Student 2008 Mac French on the top of the plastic.
I didn't notice it really...
And I've opened the package now, sigh.
I think maybe I'll try to call them after this. And if they offer the same answer too (borrowing the english installer from friends), I think that I'm in a big problem since I know no one right now at school...sigh sigh, this is really a big problem. But can't I complain to them that I don't order this French version?
Because I choose english for my language (when I configure my Mac Book) in introduction or what..I forgot what it's called..

  • Microsoft Office Student Edition

I didn't know where to post it so I will post it here. My sister just currently got a macbook for graduation(http://www.flickr.com/photos/ischutz/sets/72157600828795534/) and for college she needs something that she can type up reports etc. My mom's friend gave us a copy of MOSE which she had 3 activation keys to use and she only used 2. So we stick it in and it came up with an error before we even got to the installation window. It had to do with something about the computer not being up to date or not being adequate enough for its needs. What's the deal? What did we do wrong?
    Macbook   Mac OS X (10.4.10)

I don't know if this is going to sound stupid or not, but did the person you got the disk from have MOSE for a windows run computer? I ask because i just bought my macbook and i ordered MOSE 2004 (for mac) and it runs beautifully. No problems. Especially since MS Word, Excel, and PP are main programs colleges and high schools like to run. Basically I'm saying I wouldn't give up on the MS office, its jut easier and more hassle free when it comes to what schools want.

  • I cannot change the Font on Microsoft Office; also my work did not save. I use Firefox, not Internet Explorer

I use Times Roman, 14, Bold. It comes up huge in Firefox. I can only reduce it to 8 and that is not enough. I would like it to look like the Font I used on my old computer. Also, my work did not save.

  • Changing language of Microsoft Office

    Hi everyone,
i'm a new Mac user and i got a used PowerBook G4 few days ago! This computer has office 2004 installed but the whole program is in another language!
Is there any possibility to change the language of the program into english?
    Thanks,
    Gjergji

I'm pretty sure that MS Office only comes in one language at a time, so to have another one you would have to acquire a separate version. You might want to ask in the MS newsgroups to be sure:
    http://www.microsoft.com/mac/community/community.aspx?pid=newsgroups
NeoOffice and OpenOffice are possible downloadable alternatives.

Even with Apple Configurator most of the settings cannot be locked, and that includes the language settings. Most schools and organizations seem to just accept that they'll have to reconfigure the iPads on a regular basis.

  • How Do I Change the Language of Start Menu and Modern Apps After I Installed Windows? Applying Language Pack only Localizes Traditional Applications?

    Howdy,
I installed Windows 10 Technical Preview with original language settings for the US region.
No that I need my Windows localized to Espanol - Spanish.
I type "language' in Cortana, select Add language to this device and click Add a language on the Region & language.
Then I select added language and click Set as primary.
After the restart I see that while Windows Explorer is displayed in Spanish, Start menu is displayed in English (including app sections such as Explore Windows), as well as Modern apps that have retained their English names (such as Mail).
I even set the location to Spain in regional settings (although I didn't like the idea, as I want to browse the US market). To no avail.
How do I change the language of the Start menu and modern apps?
    Thank you.
Well this is the world we live in And these are the hands we're given...

Okay, I ran the in-place upgrade and it worked!
    What I did:
    1. Downloaded and attached Espanol edition of Windows Setup ISO.
    2. Started setup.exe from that ISO.
TIP: If need be, you can downgrade your installation of Windows 10 Enterprise Technical Preview to Windows 10 Pro Technical Preview by changing two registry values, EditionID and ProductName. You may use the following registry file on Windows 10 Enterprise
    Technical Preview:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion]
    "EditionID"="Professional"
    "ProductName"="Windows 10 Pro Technical Preview"
Import these settings into registry and start setup wizard from the Windows 10 Pro Technical Preview setup CD. Voila! Windows will offer upgrade of your current setup of Windows 10 Enterprise Technical Preview to Windows 10 Pro Technical Preview with
saving all your settings and applications!
The only thing that wasn't localized are the new app sections. I still see Explore Windows and Everyday apps. Probably, these UI strings haven't yet been translated.

    Hello
This forum is for troubleshooting Apple Software Update for Windows, a software package for Windows designed to update Apple products that run on Windows, and not related to Microsoft Office or your question in any way. If you have issues or questions about Office, it's probably best you post Office related questions on Microsoft's own forums for their Mac products.

  • Hi All,i am currently working on a flex application that will allow the user to change the language

Hi All,i am currently working on a flex application that will allow the user to change the language within the application from english to Japanese and vice versa. And everything works fine.
    I am using flex 4.5
We allow the user to save records with english or japanese texts.
    problem
When the user manually enters Japanese text and tries to save it the record defaults back to the default name (which is in english). But if you copy the entered text and paste it and then save it.It works fine.
Any idea , why this is happening?
Please let me know if the question is not clear.
Looks like there was already a bug

By Payal integration , you mean paypal button html ? or payment gateway setup etc ? If its a gateway configuration for your site domain then single page for all layout will work , but if you are using button code for all renditions then you would need to create separate pages for all.

  • Macro won't change the language of some characters - GUI input works fine

I have an issue where certain characters in documents are in the SimSun font and the language is set to "Chinese (PRC)". I wrote a macro that successfully changes the font from simsun to another font, but it doesn't work if the language is Chinese
(PRC) and perhaps others, but this is the only case I have found so far.
It works fine if the language is English to begin with. Even more frustrating is that fact that, if I "Select All -> Language USEnglish" via the GUI after I run the SimSun change macro, the characters that the macro already worked on will change
    appropriately.
However, if I try to change the language with a macro it doesn't work. I can literally record my actions that work as a macro, but when I run the macro, it doesn't work.
Does anyone know what causes this behavior? Is there any way to fix it?
    This is what I use.
        Selection.WholeStory
        Selection.LanguageID = wdEnglishUS
        Application.CheckLanguage = False
    Thanks!

Edit: I'm currently working with Word2013 but I know this same behavior is replicated in word 2010 on a different computer.
Okay, here is some test data:
    https://onedrive.live.com/view.aspx?cid=608A603435D13670&resid=608A603435D13670%21111&app=Word
and here is the data after I run the macro:
    https://onedrive.live.com/view.aspx?cid=608A603435D13670&resid=608A603435D13670%21116&app=Word
If I manually (through the GUI) select all and set the language, the text comes out fine. However, those steps have no effect when run as a macro, even if I record them and they while they work correctly.
I actually can't seem to change the language of Chinese (PRC) at all with a macro but the GUI does seem to work.
Here is the full code that I am running. It's got a few extra lines in there because I was trying to figure out if I could get it to change the language to English somehow:
