Change the language on the movie... possible?

Hi folks
Im from Switzerland... and some films are only in German, France oder Italian spoken language. Can I change it in English? Im used to see the movies in English-spoken language. And is it possible to add subtitles (as DVD)? And why is the film-range different to the US?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
I don't believe that movies have multiple languages, I'm not sure if you can have a UK iTunes account and be in Switzerland but it might be worth looking into.
You can add subtitles to your own movies but not those from the iTunes store.
It's a matter of licensing and distribution rights why some movies are available in some locations and not others.

Why can I neither change the movie language nor the subtitle??

I did all the setting change in "Audiosubtitle" and "Audio", but nothing happens with the movie Jonny English; cannot whatch it in English.
When watching the movie and when I push the center button it also doesn't bring up the menue to chose the language.

This is not possible. The timestep for the model is fixed and compiled into the model. You can do things like trigger model subsystems based on an input value or some event within the model.

With iMovie 10 how do I change the movie file size and type.

I have recently upgraded to iMovie 10. It takes some getting used to but I think I will like the new product. After creating my first few movies and trying to upload them to dropbox, it is taking a long time. Comparing the files to ones created in the previous version they are larger, and I need to know how we adjust the file size to the device the movies will be used for. I don't need high resolution files. It looks like you can change the size in file for share but still a large file and only compatible with Mac and PC others are greyed out. Files are much larger than the files generated in the old version.

This is one of the areas where the options have been reduced compared to iMovie 9. If you share to File, you should have Large (540p) and SD (480p) options in addition to the HD ones.
I'm not sure exactly which menu it is where you are finding greyed-out options.
What is the native format of the movie you are saving?
If you can't share directly into the format you want you should be able to post-process the shared file with a third-party app.

How do you change the movie order in iDVD?

I'm doing a video showreel and need to change the running order of movies that I'm using. My menu page lists the 4 movies in a vertical list, which is fine, except I'd like to move the last one up the running order in the menu.
I assumed you'd drag it, but that doesn't work. Can anyone help?

You can drag the sub-item (movies) back into the parent item and it will place the item you dragged into it at the "end" (on the right looking at it in the top-down tree view.) You cannot put the first item on the end, but you can get around this by putting it into a child node and then back into the parent node.

How to change the movie clip a button links to???

I am working on a website in Flash that had already been
designed by someone else. There are a number of buttons across the
website that are linked to the same symbol. Those buttons link to
movie clips, in the button's actions, that pop up as small windows
providing more information in regards to the button clicked. The
problem is that I cannot figure out how to properly change the link
association between button and movie clip.
Here is the action script for one of the buttons:

When I change the number after "root.READ =" it will change
it to another movie clip but I how do I know what that association
is based on? For instance if I make a duplicate movie clip how can
I make the above script link to it? Also, what exactly does that
last line in the above script mean? When I tested various numbers,
like 3 and 6, they would link to the same movie clip.
Please help! This is driving me crazy!

Hi,
buttons can be defined with static icon/text, or dynamically via a variable (containing @08\Qtooltip@text for example). You choose the pushbutton type when you define your button using the screen painter. For the dynamic definition, you must tick the "output only" checkbox, enter a global variable name, that you'll fill in your program, preferably using ICON_CREATE function module.

Changing the "Move File" sound in Lion

Hi - So in Snow Leopard, you could custom-change the ugly sound that you hear when you drag and drop a file to a new location. The solution involved going into the HD, then drilling into a folder called System Sounds and finding and replacing an .aiff sound file called "Volume Mount" with the custom .aiff file you created. It worked great, except in Lion, there doesn't appear to be such a folder called System Sounds.
Anyone know how I can duplicate this custom sound file action for Lion? Thanks!

Hello, James here.
The reason why you can't find the "System Sounds" folder is because Apple have hidden it in a slightly different location in OS X Lion 10.7.x
To get to the directory with the "Volume Mount" file you need to go to...
Macintosh HD > System > Library > Components > CoreAudio (right-click and show package contents) > Contents > SharedSupport > System Sounds > system

How to change the direction of movement in atable from left to right?

As the title says i want to change the movement direction in the cells of a table in pages when i click tab key from "left to right" to "right to left", is that possible?

It seams that we aren't using the same application.
In mine, if the cell C3 is selected, pressing shift + tab select the cell B3 which is what you wanted in your original post (or I understood it wrongly).
If what you want is the ability to insert a new row above the current one or at top of a table, you can't do that this way.
Same response if you want to insert a new column to the left of the table.
To do that, the soluce is to select the top row or the leftmost column.
There is a funny bug in the menu items.
If your table has a header row, entering the menu Format > Table, we get four items:
Insert new header above
Insert new header below
if we are in the header row
or
Insert new row above
Insert new row below
Insert a column before
Insert a column after
These four menus items have shortcuts :
option up arrow
option down arrow
option left arrow
option right arrow
If the table has no header, the menu items are :
Insert new row above
Insert new row below
Insert a column before
Insert a column after
None of them display a shortcut *_but the shortcuts are active_*

Changing the size of a single movie as it plays

I don't know if this is new in Flash CS3 or not, but I just
started noticing it - web pages that are flash from top to bottom.
No matter where you right-click the pop-up menu tells you it is
Flash. And the whole thing resizes along with the browser's window.
How does one do this? And then to baffle my mind even further,
there is a site where the movie changes size - causing the browser
scrollbar to increase or decrease. I thought that you had to define
the movie's size and that was what it was going to be from
beginning to end. So if you click on a button, the text may be
twice as long - going off the bottom of the page.
I have nothing at all to do with this site, I think it was
presented in Adobe's Flash newsletter. But notice - it's all
Flash!! and if you click on a side button the browser scrollbar
changes (the movie changes size).

Do you mean you need to make a 4:3 from your 16:9 high definition footage ?
Or are you making 16:9 standard definition?

Will changing the suffix on the file type make the file readable on devices

I read on the forums that you can just change the .mov to .mp4 to get devices to recognize the file. It that correct or does the file actually need to be converted? I am trying to get a Quicktime movie to play on an Android phone.

I'm of the "try it and see" school.
I've changed .wav to .mp3 and had it work. I suggest using the free MediaInfo Mac to see which codecs are used (namely some mp4 variant video and probably aac /mp4 audio). With my wav I could see it was basically a mpeg layer III codec so it was a mp3.
Probably a .mov from iMovie will have a more complex structure and I don't think in that case it will just be a matter of tricking it with changing extensions.

Purchases will be tied to the original account. Your US account will not have access.
If your Apple TV is not displaying US content make sure the Apple TV location settings are correct. DNS should be on automatic.

But then agin you have the source code (.java files) open all java files in the oracle.forms froject and alter to your language then recompile and reacreate the jar (easily done with Jdeveloper)
