Change the output report in a query SQ01

Hi all,
I need to change the output format for a column in a report that was developed using SQ01.
The column is showing the result YES or NOT and I would like to show X or blank.
Do you know where I can set this option?

I don't think there is an option per se, but you can create a local field and assign a value to it based on the value of Yes/No field. Then hide the "original" Yes/No field and display the local one instead. Voila!

Functionality to determine/change the sort oreder of a query in Webi and CR

Does Business Objects Web Intelligence have the functionality to
determine/change the sort order of a query, or does it always push down
the order by into the database and have the database do the sorting? The
background to my question is particularly multi-byte characters (e.g.
Japanese or Chinese characters).
What about the feature in Crystal Reports product?

The sort order of the query is completely irrelevant to reports, which default to sorting by columns on a left to right basis.
The only reason to sort in a query is where you are restricting the number of rows returned and want the top n rows.

To lock the output of a SELECT query

Hi,
I want to lock the output of a SELECT query to some transaction.
I have wriiten it as follows , the output of the query is a single row;
SELECT empname
FROM employees
where empid = 100
FOR UPDATE;
Specifying only FOR UPDATE is proper or do i need to specify some more clause ??

How to change the output as text format in Apps R12.1.3

Hi All,
Currently iam trying to modify the Java Concurrent Program (FDExtractAndFormatting) in Batch Payment Process. This Program is generated in text format in 11i APPS. Now we are upgrading to R12.1.3. In R12.1.3 output is coming as PDF format. Here my requirement is how to change the output as text format in R12.1.3 also.
Please do the needful and suggest me.

1. It is seeded java concurrent program. Some attributes are missing from 11i to R12. In 11i it is a text format.So i have to investgate on how to retrive those attributes in R12. What is the concurrent program name?
Have you tried to change the output and submit the request?
2. Once all are attributes are coming in PDF format. Client wants to open same output in text format as it is 11i (In R12 it is generated in PDF format).If the above does not help, please log a SR.

How to change the output directory of .xml files

Hi,
There are lots of .xml files generated under
$ORACLE_AS_HOME/j2ee/home/applications/xmlpserver/xmlpserver/xml.
(ex:/usb/bipub3/oracle/oc4j_bi/j2ee/home/applications/xmlpserver/xmlpserver/xml).
I found these files are generated in the following operation;
1.Log in BI Publisher.
2.Select the Schedules tab.
I think they are kind of temp files so we will be able to delete them.
But I'd like to know how to change the output directory.
Can we change the above directory to other path?

Why? As that may invalidate support since you configure/alter the deployment.
The location is specified in oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\applications\xmlpserver\xmlpserver.war, so you could go into the war file and alter it.

You can go to Build >> Target Settings menu item, select Release (or Release 64) in the Configuration filed and set the name of the executable to create in Application FIle field, withouyt need to change the prj or cws filename.

Change the HTML Report format the same as TestStand 2010 SP1 in TestStand 2012

I have a lot of test steps (~10K) that gets executed and the indentations on HTML report format in TestStand 2012 gets too deep. I have to slide the horizontal bar to the right to see the report when l'm in the middle. I did not have this issue in TestStand 2010 SP1.
Is ther a way to change the HTML Report format (style) the same as TestStand 2010 SP1 in TestStand 2012?

We are currently investigating this issue. In order to help us with the investigation could you post a sequence file and configuration that reproduce the problem? The configuration file is located in C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\TestStand 2012\Cfg\ModelPlugins\ResultProcessing.cfg for Windows Vista / Windows 7 or you can use the Cfg link in the TestStand 2012 installation directory.
You can use the Legacy Model Switcher (included in TestStand 2012) to use the legacy models instead of the new models. The legacy models are more backward compatible, however, this also means that you will not be able to use the improvements in the new models (for example, the new plug-in architecture). If this is acceptable then you can use the legacy model switcher to switch to the legacy models. The Legacy Model Switcher is located in the Start Menu under Programs->National Instruments->TestStand 2012->Tools->Compatibility. Changing the output layout of standard transaction FPWLM

We have a requirement where we need to change the output layout of the standard transaction FPWLM which is used fo the management of worklist for collecion management.
In this transaction under the current worklist if we select the worklist ID and display it , work items are displayed in the Grid display. We want to add certain fields here in the output layout of this transaction. We tried adding the fields by selecting the change layout option which displays the list of hidden fields which can be added . But the problem is the field which we want to add is not present in this list.
Is there any other way to add the fields to the output layout of standard transaction.

Maybe check IMG under Basic Settings for Collections Management.
This node contains the sub-node Worklist.
Two enhancements are availaable here:
BAdI: Enhancement of Worklist Items on Creation
BAdI: Enhancement of Worklist Items on Display
Maybe read the documentation for the nodes to determine if the enhancements will accomplish what you are looking for!?
Since this component is not active in our installation, I have no experience with this functionality.

Cannot change the output medium for contract

Hi Everyone,
In the contract we have "Output" tab to change the output medium for the contract.
So the issue is when I click on the change button and try to change e-mail address,I am not able to do that.
The e-mail address is grayed out though I am in the change mode.
This is happening for some contracts only.
How should I change the e-mail address of the contract?

CHANGE THE OUTPUT MEDIUM FOR SRM PURCHASE ORDERS

We are using SRM 5.0
I tried to change the SRM purchase order's output
medium from 'XML' to 'Print' using a function module
'BBP_OUTPUT_PO_PARAMS_SET' within the BADI 'BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI'. Though it changes the
output medium and chooses the right radio button
at the UI interface level (i.e)
Purchase order Header->output->
radio buttons(print,email,fax,xml)
It still holds the output medium as 'XML' at the
Document output log and process the document as 'XML'.
Is there a way to update the output log to hold the changed medium i.e (print)

You can't.
The database processes the query and then returns the result to you. Thus to change the query you must run the query again.
You can of course add code do do the same thing. But unless it is very simple it is going to take a lot of code and might even be slower than doing the database call.

Calling report from asset query - sq01

hi experts,
I've created an asset query using ADA logical database (Tcode SQ01). I assign the asset balance report (program RABEST_ALV01) which works as drill down for asset query. When I execute the query for current year the Report date defaults to end of current fiscal year and when I call the assigned report the output is accurate. However if I change the Report date (ie to end of last FY) the drill down does not display accurately, the report date on the asset query is not passed to the report date on the assigned report. Is there a way for me to pass the report date from the query to the assigned report without coding?

Depending on your requirement and environment, you have the following options:
1. Use an info spoke and make selections as you would in a query.
2. USe FM RS_VC_GET_QUERY_VIEW_DATA_FLAT to send the data to a file and your ABAP can read this file.
