Dear MM Guru,
Can we change the Current period (Posting period) of Company code in Material Management, If it has been enteried wrong.
While changing it a masseage is comming : -
The Company code -
can no longer be initialized.
T Code: - OMSY.
But this is a way to go forward, but not to go previous.
If some one has enteried the posting period of before, and he want to revert back, can it possible.

  • Changing the period in Reversed payment document

    Dear All,
    I badly need your help. I have reversed one Payment document in wrong period. Now Payment document is in period 09 while reversal document is in period 10.
    Is there any way to undo this reversal or else change the period in the reversed document?
    Here I need one suggestion as well. What will be the implication of this in period end closing activity?The payment document is closed and refering to reverse document as well.
    What I know is for period closing system checks for only open items.
    Please suggest on this.
    Regards
    Suchitra

    Dear Gordon,
    Even If I go to F-02 and do manual entry for period 09. Then my f-02 document will have status as open, In this case in month end closing this open item will create problem.
    Can I cancel or delete the wrongly reversed document any ways in SAP?

  • Change the period of a job

    If I change the period of a job at runtime, how this job will be scheduled?
    If this job is idle when I change its period. If the idle time has been larger than new period, will this job be invoked as soon as I set the new period?
    If the idle time is still smaller than the new period, will this job be invoked in a time of (new_period - idle_time)?
    I want to know the details of the transitional duration. THANKS A LOT :)

    Hi,
    Here are some answers . I have also included a test case below which is trivial enough that you should verify this for yourself.
    If this job is idle when I change its period. If the idle time has been larger than new period, will this job be invoked as soon as I set the new period?It won't run immediately but it will run at its next scheduled time i.e. after a time less than the new_period - see test case below, but wait more than 2 minutes before doing set_attribute.
    If the idle time is still smaller than the new period, will this job be invoked in a time of (new_period - idle_time)?Yes it will - see test case below, but wait less than 2 minutes before doing set_attribute.
    I want to know the details of the transitional duration. As soon as you do a set_attribute the scheduler recalculates the next_run_date of the job and it will run at that date.
    Here is the test case. How long you wait before doing the set_attribute determines whether you are testing case #1 or case #2.
    grant create job to scott;
    connect scott/tiger
    -- test updating repeat_interval while job is enabled
    begin
      dbms_scheduler.create_job('j1',
        job_type=>'plsql_block', job_action=>'null;',
        repeat_interval=>'freq=hourly',enabled=>true);
    end;
    -- wait a few seconds for the job to run
    select job_name, state, run_count, last_start_date, next_run_date
      from user_scheduler_jobs ;
    -- wait less than 2 minutes or more than 2 minutes
    begin
      dbms_scheduler.set_attribute('j1','repeat_interval','freq=minutely;interval=2');
    end;
    select job_name, state, run_count, last_start_date, next_run_date
      from user_scheduler_jobs ;Hope this helps,
    Ravi.

  • Payroll - Changing the payroll period dates in live system

    We are on a bi-weekly payroll schedule.  Requirement was the setup the pay period from Monday to Sunday (14 days).  However, it got created as Sunday to Saturday (14 days) in error.  Now the time recording does not coincide with the pay period.  I believe we can change the period start and end dates for all pay periods in V_T549Q.  This will make one of my pay period 15 days and I can continue correctly from then on.
    I am curious to know whether there are any "side effects" if I do this in a live system.  Have any of you did this type of thing in SAP payroll?
    Thanks
    Joe

    Why do you want to change table entries directly in PRD.....You can generate payroll periods in Dev through report RPUCTP00...and then make sure your table entries correct in Dev and then move to PRD.
    Generate Payroll periods as per your Biweekly through report RPUCTP00.....Enter your Biweekly Period Parameter, Date modifier, Start date, Final year, Start date of the fiscal year ,payday rule etc...and execute.

  • Record not appearing in custom infotype without selecting the period.

    Hi All,
    I have created a HR Custom Infotype for Medical Examination. Whenever i create a record for a particular employee and again i click on the Display button for the same employee, a message is diplayed "No data stored for Medical Examination details in the selected period". And when i select the ALL radio-button in the period selection area,only then the record is displayed. Why is it so that manually i need to select the ALL radiobutton to display the record? It is not so for other infotypes. Is there any solution for this, i mean can we change some settings to resolve this issue?
    Thanks in advance,
    Arpita Raizada.

    In PA20/30 we have period from and to dates on screen. If any date is entered on these screens then data from infotype is displayed based on these dates.
    If your record doesn't overlap/falls with these entered dates then system displays the message. Changes the period dates accordingly and system will display the records valid as of entered date.

  • FI-AA Impact on changing the year dependent fiscal year period from 445 to 435

    Dear Friends,
    May I have your comment on the impact of below change
    Currently using Year Dependent fiscal year variant K5 and period end closing is *445
    future we want to use the same fiscal year dependent variant K5 , however the period end closing will be *435
    *445 Periods - 1st month 4th sat, 2nd month 4th sat, 3rd month 5th sat will be the closing periods
      similarly for the rest of the months in a year
    *435 Periods -  1st month 4th month, 2nd month 3rd sat, 3rd month 5th sat will be the closing periods
      similarly for the rest of the months in a year
    Impact on Asset Module and other  modules will be a great help

    Hi Sanjai,
    SAP do not recommend to change a Fiscal Year Variant that has already
    been assigned to a company code and has already some postings. This
    will may create database inconsistencies
    Please check the following SAP notes which will give you an
    idea of some adverse effects that may happen as a result of a change
    based on the modules/components you have implemented in your system.
    427920     Analysis program for fiscal year conversion
    210861     Changing fiscal year variant in production system
    193713     SAPF070: Change of fiscal year variant
    672255     Shortened fiscal year/changing fiscal periods
    The change of the fiscal year or the change of the fiscal periods
    has an effect in many modules, for example, in FI, FI-AA, FI-SL, FI-LC,
    EC-CS, IM, CO, EC-PCA, MM, PP, SD, PS, PM.
    Corresponding risks (for example, data inconsistency, system standstill)
    can arise from incorrect changes to the fiscal year or from incorrect
    changes to the fiscal periods in a live SAP system.

    If you want to open previous period for reversal entry or additional entry
    The following are steps for Opening previous period in MM :

    2. Choose "change" tab with your loging Name
    3. Choose "Parameter" tab
    give Parameters MMPI_READ_NOTE with date format as YYYYMMDD
    (say today 20071201)
    4. SAVE.
    5. Go to T-code MMPI
    6. open the old periods which you want to post into,
    Note :
    the period opening will be valid for only for the particular day only.
    7. Complete the posting you want to reverse or add

  • I want to change the posting period

    I want to change the posting period for closed period. how can to do?. My period 2010 is in period but I want periods in months. who can I help me?

    Hi Mary.......
    One you created you can not change the type of periods of Posting Period.
    This is SAP Standard that once you created you can not change it.
    But if you have not done transactions for that period then you can remove and recreate with the period type as 12 Months...
