I want to change the units in the Notification Messages to hours .
"RETURN_UNITS=1"
do I have to put this ("RETURN_UNITS=1") in the option.dat file?
Would it be possible to change this value only for one channel?

Yes, it goes in the option.dat file.
No, you cannot do this selectively, it's server-wide. BE CAREFUL in doing this, as many things change, and will have to be adjusted.
Also note that the "return" job normally runs once per day. It's the return job (set in job_controller) that actually returns messages after expire of notices, so unless you change that, too, you will only return messages overnight.
Normally, it's a "Bad Idea" to reduce the notices to less than a day, as it's not unusual for some servers to be down for a day or two at a time. . .

What are the units of the DAQmx counter?

I created this VI and several similar ones a few months ago, but, I have forgotten some of what I did back then. I believe that this VI should measure period, using the counter on the DAQ chassis. Can anyone tell me the units of the period measured? I think it is seconds, but, I am trying to figure out how to figure that out! The values of the period are generated by the DAQmx READ function in the WHILE loop. What units is that function outputting to the array? What are the units of the array elements, essentially? See the attached VI.
Also, how do you know? I opened the DETAILED HELP for the DAQmx Read (Counter 1D DBL NSamp) shown in the VI but, I can't find anything on the units of the data coming out of the terminal labeled DATA with the orange wire, which is actually an array of periods, and we take the average of the most recent 15 or so period measurements.
I had a suggestion months ago for an online NI manual containing a description of Buffered EdgeCounting measurements, but, when I went to find it, the link had been changed by NI, so, I can't find that manual, but, I think the answer is probably there, because I recall that manual being very useful when I did this before.

When you create a Virtual Channel, you should specify the units the counter task will use. There are several options which are listed in the help here:

I am not on a computer with LabVIEW right now, but I believe the default should be ticks, which is the number of ticks of your device's timebase. You can find that information in your hardware specifications.

I do realize that the nano will resume where I left off in my audiobook if I reload the file that was last playing.
What I was hoping is that the 6g nano would work like my previous iPods and default to the last file played the next time played after Iused sleep mode instead of going to some random song on the iPod.
Since I usually have a lot of audiobooks on my iPod--and most of those have 10-15 files in them, it's a pain to have to navigate to the correct file (and try to remember which of the 10-15 files I was last playing). On all my other iPods I could simply hit play and it would start up in the audiobook right where it left off.
Note--this only happens if I use the sleep timer to turn off the iPod. If I pause the book myself, when I turn the iPod back on it'll "remember" what file it was playing.

What are the units fo the timeline? Seconds, weeks, eons, microseconds? Can't tell and there is no video or manual or any instruction out there that tells hyou this simple fact. I've already watched nearly all the videos available and all they do is chunter along about their wonderful videos instead of telling you the basic things. So, now I've spent all day making a presentation that takes at least 300 years to move from one frame to the next and I'm wondering if perhaps the timeline is written in centuries, or millenia instead of something reasonble.
Englightenment on where I can learn basic neglected secrets, would be appreciated. Also appreciated would be some insight into the corporate disease Adobe seems to have which compels it to inflict videos upon people who just want basic answers and to make it necessary to click 185 buttons and log in 17 times to even ask a question on this very helpful forum

How do I change the units for the vector shape stroke in the option bar?

I work with vector shapes very often in Photoshop. In CS6, they have added the stroke and fill tools in the option bar.
If I open a file with vector shapes that was created in CS5, the stroke defaults to 3pt. I would prefer it to default to pixels instead of points. I have found that if I change the settings prior to creating a new shape, it retains those attributes for all future shapes. However, if I am working on an older file, and would like to use this tool, it is frustrating to have to change this unit every time.

Check, if you have a volume automation set on the software instrument track.
If the track volume automation curve is enabled, the volume slider for the track will move with the automation curve.
Click the automation curves disclosure triangle in the track header and disable the volume automation.

If you are talking about the Essbase OLAP Server installation, the answer is no. I believe that you have to reinstall to change drives. Drive information is embedded in some of the server files and app files. Did you know that you can change the drive that the ind and pag files are stored by db? This is done on the storage tab of the database settings dialog. This might provide an option for allocating data to other/multiple drives. -- Jeff McAhren Dallas, Texas

You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
* Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
* Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.
* Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
* Go to the Media tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
* Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
* If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

Changing Audio Units in the input - 3rd time lucky

This is the third time I am posting this in the hope of an answer. If it's not possible then let me know.
If you insert an effect or AU instrument is there a way of removing it or changing it.
I also imported a midi file into a song from another song, Logic kindly decided to assign instruments to these which I did not ask it to. Because I could not remove or change these I created empty midi tracks and moved them into these. Then I deleted the old midi tracks.
I noticed when I open this project it is still loading up these redundant instruments using up valuable resources and the songs struggles enough. How do I get rid of these so they are not taking up resources?

Click the slot (the light blue rectangle in the track) with the name of the plug-in you want to get rid of so it is selected. Keep your mouse-button depressed. A list appears. Choose no plug-in. Or something else from the pop up list.

create Calculated Key figure (for the key figures which u want to supress Units/currency)
To use the NODIM function, you have to use a calculated key figure (CKF) which is defined as
CKF = NODIM (KF)
where KF is your original keyfigure which should be displayed in the report without any units. As I mentioned above, using NODIM will help you hide the ERROR message but will not display units even for those records for which the unit value exists in the info provider
Create another calculated key figure (for amounts & quantity key figures for which you want to supress unit/currency) and insert "NODIM(Key figure name)" in formula. Use these calculated key figures for display.

Lately, i received "search setting notification" message popup on starting Firefox 3.6.10. I manually changed my search to Bing. But after closing all firefox windows, it was changed to Yahoo and that notification message.

I am referring to the Search Bar on the upper right corner of the firefox screen. Where there is an option to "Manager search engines...". I even delete the Yahoo entry. But when i restart firefox, i got that "Search Setting Notification" message and the #$@? Yahoo is there on the upper right corner as my default search engine.

(1) Firefox's built-in post-crash page has not been a real HTML page for a long time (for example, from the time of Firefox 22, see: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/968212 Want to save LOTS of versions of "Restore Session.xht" from the "oops ..." page for later use]). If you had this working differently with Firefox 25, that might have been created by an extension.
You can check to see whether extensions are disabled or need an update on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. The disabled extensions cluster toward the bottom of the list. To poll for updates, use the "gear" button above the list and choose Check for Updates.
If you used the Reset feature (or Firefox automatically did a reset due to some problem during upgrading), you will need to reinstall missing extensions. The reset feature creates a folder on the desktop named Old Firefox Data. Do you have that folder? There may be data you can recover from it.

I assume you are referring to the step, "Power Spectrum", in Analysis»Frequency Domain Measurements
Per the help that I see, "This step can return the spectra in root-mean-square, peak, and peak-to-peak
units."
Also, in the configuration tab of the step, for magnitude you can select either dB or linear.

When I try to charge the unit with the magnetic cover it won't charge

Have you activated the cover lock in Settings/General/iPad Cover Lock/Unlock?
The iPad does not usually charge if it is on. Have you also set the iPad to sleep after inactivity? Settings/General/Auto-Lock

TS3700 There is more to this than the earphone connection. If I tap the unit once the screen dims, it will continue to play. But it shuts off if I don't. What is going on? It will also continue to play if I run the stop watch, for up to 6 minutes.

How do I keep this from happening?

And you are positive the headphones are plugged all the way in, meaning the white part of the headset is flush with the body of the Nano and no silver from the plug can still be seen. If so, try another headset to make sure the current one isn't damaged/faulty.

Changing the Unit of Measurement in Material Master

Dear Experts,
Material DF21DENG (fert) was created with KGS (kilogram per second) as its unit of measurement. A material BOM was now created for DF21DENG.
I intend to change the unit of DF21DENG from KGS to KG (kilogram). On doing this in the Basic data view of DF21DENG, i get the message " change is not possible because a BOM exists for this material".
In the BOM of DF21DENG, I set the deletion flag on & tried to change the unit in the Material master again but got the same massage.
Please how can I effect this change?

This response was helpful but was solved the problem was that; from the Edit, i selected Delete from the drop down & then the alternative BOM was deleted.
