Change to display mode

Hi, I do some checking on the userexit of SO, when via VA02 to access SO, i will check whether is owner or not, if not, I want to change edit mode to display mode, va02 change to va03. How can i do that. Thanks!

First Find user exit or badi for the same.
provide Check conditions for that owner .
if not
SET PARAMETER ID......
Call transaction 'VA03'.

PA30:Change and Display Mode

Hi Friends,
Can you Please provide me a solution for the Below Problem:
When I go to PA30 and try to CHANGE infotype 0001(Org Assmt),I get the fields "cost center,Position,job,org unit" in the Display mode I am not able to change those fields.
Where can i change(In the configuration) these fields to be changed from DISPLAY MODE TO CHANGE MODE.So that in PA30 I can change these fields in IT0001

Hi,
You cannot change any of the field you mentioned in infotype 0001.
You can assign a position using action 0000 through PA40 or by using copy option infotype 0000 in PA30. This will be in edit mode.
Suggested to use PA40 so that all other relevant infotypes can also be updated accordingly.
Rest of the components (Objects Job, Cost Center, Org unit etc) has to be assigned to the respective position in PO13-->Relation ships.
Note: Take care of the dates.

RMAUTH-Different behaviour for Change and display mode

Dear friends,
I modified a standard roadmap by copying it and added 1 folder called "X" with normal node and saved.
When i go for display mode in RMAUTH, I am unable to see that folder.If i go to change mode i am able to see the folder "X".
Even in RMMAIN I couldnt see it,But if i go to change-->Scope option i could able to see it & has the tick mark in it.
Plz provide ur valuable solutions.

Check box 'Good Receipt' to be changed to display mode in PR

In purch req, I want to change Goods Receipt check box to display mode while keeping Invoce Receipt check box in change mode. Is this possible ?

Is it possible to change the display mode of the dB Number on level meter?

the default dB number just shows up the maxi happened peak level and keeps
holding the level number until the next higher level. any one know if there is any other mode to have?

It's a headroom meter, and can be reset by clicking it (there is a key command for this also).
It's purpose is to let you know the maximum level your channel has reached, and therefore how much headroom you have (or not). I'm not sure what other "modes" you'd want - what did you have in mind?

How to know if an transaction is in display mode or change mode

I have to set an information message if any transaction is in display mode and an error message if it is in change mode for a particular condition.
How would I know programmatically that it is in display mode or change mode for a screen?

This is what I'm already doing in the program by setting the edit mode for the column '3_ATWRT'. But I want to switch from edit to display mode and back again. This is not working. Only when I buildup the fieldcatalog this is working?

In VF03 display mode, Tax values are getting changed

Dear Guru's
We have implemented a routine for MWIG tax calculation in sales order. But we are not seeing the same values in billing document. I am not sure how i am seeing different values for tax in display mode, If i double click on MWIG i am seeing correct value, but on the screen it is different value. Any suggestions on how can i make sure the same routine from sales order is applied in billing document.

Hi,
I am assuming that both sales order and the billing document have the same pricing procedure. (and likely so).
The pricing engine runs on every mode. i.e. creation/change and display mode. Sometimes, some of the values do not flow into KONV, KONP structures (or XKOMV, XKOMP) during the display mode at the first go. So, if you are comparing some of the values with these structures, then, it might not be successful.
My suggestion here is, put a debugging point in the routine that you have assigned to MWIG and go into the document using VF03. System will go into debug mode. There you can see which value is not being filled or why is the condition not getting satisfied. That way you can be sure what exactly needs to be done.

If I excute the program for the same system is allowing me to change / manual entry of excise duty, assessable value & ED Cess. Which is not required for our business rate and will be fixed, and I want to know where we can do the change for display mode.
Excise invoice no manual entry possible.

REMOVE TICK MARK OF AMOUNT / PERCENTAGE & VALUE
Then it will appear in display mode in order & also in invoice

How to set "display mode" from external keyboard

I have an EliteBook 8570p in a docking station, with an external monitor and keyboard attached.
I typically have my display mode as "duplicate", with the same thing showing on both my laptop screen and external monitor. I use the external monitor as the main screen. This might be uncommon, but I prefer it this way. I've been working this way for quite a while.
I very recently started using MS PowerPoint 2013. Today I discovered an annoying bug with this combination. I was in "slideshow mode" for a pptx I was working on, and I pressed ESC to get back to editing the doc. What happened was that the external monitor just showed my background wallpaper, and the laptop screen showed the normal display, along with my background wallpaper. I then had to slide over to my laptop keyboard and press Fn-F4 and set it to "Duplicate", and that restored my external monitor display.
I'm definitely going to pursue this weird behavior with PowerPoint, but I'm going to assume out of the box that this will be difficult to change. What I'd like to get from this forum is simply a quicker way to restore the "Duplicate" display mode. Is there a keyboard shortcut I can use from my external keyboard to change the display mode? There's no "Fn" key.

Although I'd still like to get an answer to this, my original problem has been solved, as I was able to disable the feature in PowerPoint 2013 that mucked with my display mode (turn off "Use Presenter View").

Item field to non-editable mode(display mode) in Purchase Order(ME22n).

Based on the Comany code i need to modify the item level fields like <b>Item, Account Assignment, Material</b> to non-editable mode(display mode) in Purchase Order(ME22n).
So i modifed in the method MODIFY_SCREEN_TC_LINE of class CL_TABLE_VIEW_MM and set the value L_FIELD_STATUS = * for the screen filed MEPO1211-EBELP. When i execute, the whole column changed to display mode and the empty rows filled with 0(zero). But i want only grey mode for the line items that are present for that PO but not for the whole column. So can any one guide me to do so. I am using 4.6c.

Hi Ramesh,
Normally you can change the currency field, after entering information in Data base's table, go to Detail's table and change the rate as you want, then directly choose your PO number.
so the system accept the rate entered aven though the PO had another rate.

How do i change my display

I changes the display mode resolution, and my Mini doesn't support it, how do i go back to it when the screen says "Unsupported Mode"?

Do a PRAM reset > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379 It stores the screen resolution, so if you reset it, you will get the screen resolution back to factory settings

Switch between Edit and Display mode in an input layout?

I want to create a button in my planning layout which is input ready, that makes it able to change between display mode and edit mode.
I'm on BI 7.0. And I am using Analyzer/Workboook.
Is this possible using 'SET_DATA_ENTRY_MODE' command?
If Yes, Where should I put this command ? I can't find this in Button Properties.
Please explain in detail.

Hi,
This is the correct command. In the button properties, you need to select 'command via command wizard'. There you should select this command and customize it according to your requirement (on/off).
