  • Printing options changed in new version

Just upgraded to Leopard and a new iMac, but in iPhoto the print options/editing is changed. I hate it! Is there any way to get the old layouts back?
I need to print multiple different pictures on one page in various sizes, borderless. These are not complicated requests--it was easy in the old versions. How do I do it in this version? (7.1.1)

Apple is well aware of this issue , many people have the same issue with this crap for an update, they can't fix it, giving everyone lip service. Just don't buy anything till they fix it.

  • ITunes Sync Screen Has Changed On New Version 8.2.1

This may have been asked already. I have just upgraded iTunes to the latest version 8.2.1. I was on 8.0 previously.
My question is, I noticed that the iTunes Sync screen has changed. Now when syncing, instead of showing the screen with the check boxes (ie Use Disk Storage) and the disk usage at the bottom of the screen, it just shows my songs in a list.
Is there anyway to put this back via preferences? I heavily rely on that screen.
    TIA,
    Ted

You have to click the device every time you connect it. Some people like this because connecting the device does not interrupt whatever they were doing in iTunes at the time. I prefer the old way though.
You can send your thoughts on this to Apple here:

  • Currency Change in New Version ECC 6.0 SR2 - showing as EUR  insted of USD

    Hi Gurus,
I am facing a problem about currency.  We are implementing country USA using ECC 6.0 SR2.
It is showing EUR in Infotypes 0014, 0015, 0008, 2010 defaultly for all Wage Types, actually it has to show USD for USA country.
I checked all the related tables.
I checked the Company code to Personnel Area assignment, it is OK.
I checked the MOLGA for User ID Parameters, it is showing 10.
I checked T500W, it is OK
I checked T500C table, it is also OK, USD is there.
I checked V_T510F_B, where we can assign currency to Payscale Tye and Area, it is showing USD only in 0008 Infotype for the Payscale Wage Types.  All other Wage Types are showing again in EUR.
Further,  when I Run Time Evaluation Live Run, and run Payroll for a month I am getting the Hourly rate of the employee in EUR instead of USD. Also Wage type amounts and Payslip Gorss and Net amounts are showing in EUR instead of USD.
If any body faced this problem before.
Pl let me know how to solve this issue.
    Thanking you in advance.
    Kind Regards
    Samanvita

    Hi Ajay,
    I checked Darsana Thread.
I check all the tables.  Everything is OK.
In the end, she said that she solved the issue, but did not posted how did she solve the issue.
It would be great if she help to solve this issue.

  • I have a ipad3 already over 1 year, can I have a chance to change a latest version iPad?

I have a iPad 3, just over one year, can I have a chance to change a new version iPad? By paying some additional money?

This is something that you'd need to discuss with Apple, I've heard them doing this with iPhones in the US, but not here in the UK or anywhere else and not with iPads either, but as I say, check with Apple directly as a lot of these things are location dependent.

  • I try to open iphoto and it comes up with You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iPhoto. Please quit and use the latest version of iPhoto. I have downloaded photo manager and it's telling me to update but it wont update...

I try to open iphoto and it comes up with You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iPhoto. Please quit and use the latest version of iPhoto. I have downloaded photo manager and it's telling me to update but it wont update...

iPhoto is Apple's included program to manage your photo's and pictures.
It receives updates over time with Software updates and new machine or iLife purchases.
When iPhoto gets updated or a newer version is used, it may alter iPhoto support files, but newer iPhoto versions usually always compatible with older files which it then updates.
If you used a newer iPhoto on your iPhoto support files, then they got altered to the newer format, older iPhoto versions can't read the older format.
Somewhere along the line you somehow got a older version of iPhoto on your computer, you need to fine the newer version of iPhoto (not this photo manager, sounds like another program)
Or somewhere along the line you used a newer iPhoto version (like on another Mac) and it altered the iPhoto support files on your older version of iPhoto.
So the key here is to find the newest version of iPhoto and use that to access your iPhoto support files.
If you didn't access your iPhoto support files from another Mac, then you should have the newer iPhoto version on your computer.
Once you find it, and get it in the Dock, you should remove the older iPhoto version from your computer to prevent this from happening again.
Lastly, if the newer version of iPhoto is somehow gone off your computer, you should be able to get a copy off the latest OS X install disk or iLife using a free program called Pacifist.
    http://www.charlessoft.com/
Then you need to check for updates for iPhoto in the program itself, the current version is 9.1.2

  • IPhoto won't open my library, it says I made changes with a newer version?

I D/L'ed iPhoto library manager so that I could split my library because my startup disk is overfilling everytime I try to import photos. I tried using iPhoto lib manager to split my library into two. I created a new library. I also created a new album I dumped my pictures from '03-'07 into. After I did this IpHOTO started saying my original library was made by a newer version of iPhoto and couldn't be opened. I opened the library package to make sure I didn't lose 8000 pictures, luckily all of my pictures were still in the library and organized like usual (folders by year, month, and day). I was able to re-import all of my pictures but as you can imagine the dates were messed up, multiple events with only one picture yet there are 10 separate events for the same day and it also imported a bunch of low res thumbnails (AARRRGH!).
The library manager still lets me choose to open my old library in iPhoto but when IpHOTO launches it gives me the error of being made by a newer version. I even bought iLife '09 *$$* to upgrade to the newest version of iPhoto available. I can still see my old albums in the library manager when my old library is selected but when I try to drag them into my new library I get this error message.
"The library "iPhoto Library" needs to be upgraded to work with iPhoto version 8.0.3 before you can copy photos from it. Please open the library and let iPhoto upgrade it, then try the copy again."
However I can't open this library with the newest version of iPhoto because when I do it says ..
"You can’t open your current photo library using this version of iPhoto.
You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iPhoto. Please quit and use the latest version of iPhoto."!?
What the? I'm using the newest version of iPhoto!! It couldn't have been changed by a newer version of iPhoto because there ISN'T ONE!
This is soooo frustrating. I've dealt with corrupt iTunes folders all mixed up, with unknown errors occurring when I've tried to update to 10.5.6 and I've figured them both out but this is my bane at the current time!
Any help would be greatly appreciated to keep my photos and vids organized. thanks much,
    Tim

Duplicate response to your duplicate post
Unless you opened the Library with a later version, then this is sometimes a symptom of database corruption.
And one cause of library corruption is operating without adequate free disk space
You must have a minimum of 10GB of free disk space to safely operate your Mac. Since you are having notices of inadequate space you almost certainly have much less than that - and the problem is exactly that - nothing to do with any program including iPhoto or IPLM
You must free up space now before you can do anything to recover your photos - adding an external drive is the quickest and easiest

  • I changed my email address and now i can no longer download apps.  Also, how do you upgrade to a new version?

I changed my email address and updated it to my married name. As a result, when I try to download an app, it keeps telling me that I have the wrong password, despite resetting my password.
I have not "upgraded" to the new OS for quite a while... When I try to download an app, it states that I need "OS 3.2".. or some later version...
How do you update to a new version.  It keeps telling me to go to itunes.com and click on update.  I'm not seeing this at all.

Did you just change your address, or create a new iTunes account? If it is not a new account you will first have to fix the password problem. Email iTunes Store support if you cannot figure out how to resolve the problem. Have you updated your login on the phone, in addition to iTunes on your computer?
To update your iPhone you need to install the latest version of iTunes (10.5). You also need an iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4. The 3G cannot be upgraded beyond 4.2.1.

  • I just went to open itunes, and it says 'unable to read itunes.itl because it was created by a newer version of itunes'.  I googled it, someone said to change the 'itl' to 'old', so I did.  I was then able to open itunes, but there was no music in there.

I just tried to open itunes on my Macbook, and it says, "the file ituneslibrary.itl cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of itunes.  I googled it, and someone suggested to change 'itl' to 'old', which I did. I was then able to open itunes, but nothing was there of my library.  Have I lost my entire itunes library?  Please say it ain't so ...

    Hi,
By changing itl to old you made iTunes create a new blank library.
You may be able to use a previous iTunes library which are created when you update itunes. Therefore delete the current itl file, go to previous iTunes library folder, select the one that is most recent one before you made updates to iTunes. Move this to replace the one you moved to trash. Rename to iTunes library.itl then open iTunes.

  • When firefox trys to auto update, or I manually download the new version, or some but not all downloads off of the web, I get this error message. C:\Users\John\AppData\Local\Temp could not be saved, because you cannot change the contents of that folder.

First off, when firefox trys to auto update, it fails. It tells me to try and download the new version from mozilla's site. When I try to download the new version I get this: (C:\Users\John\AppData\Local\Temp could not be saved, because you cannot change the contents of that folder.)
This is the same message I have been getting when I try to download other things off the net. (When I use other browsers to download I dont have this problem)

    Please help.
    It is getting worse
Adobe flash player is crashing. I already uninstalled and re installed the latest ver. Also it is hanging randomly.
    Please help.

  • When opening the latest version of Iphoto an error message appears that says; You can't open your current iphoto library using this version of Iphoto. You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iphoto. Please quit and use the lat

When opening the version of Iphoto i have an error message appears that says; You can't open your current iphoto library using this version of Iphoto. You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iphoto. Please quit and use the latest version of iphoto. What? If I can't open the current library using the latest version of iphoto, and I am asked to make changes the the newest version!!! I'm asked to run in circles chasing my tail...I had a new hard drive installed about 6 weeks ago. I am running MAC OS 10.5.8

What version of iPhoto do you have? If you're on 10.5 then you're not running the latest iPhoto
Any chance that the library was opened with another version?
Simplest solution will be to just restore from your back up.

This is a message you got?
If so, as your post isn't clear, it may be a bogus message caused by a corrupt database.
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .
