Change to SCORM 1.2 Menu in Captivate 8 HTML5 Course Uploads

I'm working on creating a structure in our Learning Environment that will work on a Samsung SM-T530NU Tablet and one of my concerns are the size of the left hand menu as shown below. We user Meridian as our LMS Provider.
My first thought is Meridian might be the controllers of this menu and if that is the case can I pass these SCORM variable a font size before entering the package into Meridian and bypass the need to involve them (Working with them can be tricky). or is this something set forth by the SCORM Package files and could be changed there?
Thoughts?

You are correct that the menu is controlled by Meridian and is generated from the information in the manifest. You cannot change it with variables. There may be an admin panel that will allow an administrator to style the interface.

Hello again everyone,
Upon completion of my project, I found that the group to whom
I am to hand-off the project is using Captivate 2. I am using
Captivate 3.
The overall goal is to get the product into a SCORM
compatible format. They usually do this on their side through
Captivate 2, however, because I developed the project in Captivate
3, they are unable to open my project files.
My question is (1) Is it possible to convert a Captivate 3
project to Captivate 2 format? If so, how and are there any
reprecussions (format changes, functionality changes, etc.), and
(2) Is it possible to Publish into a SCORM compatible item directly
from Captivate 3? If so, how?

Sorry, you cannot convert from Captivate 3 back to version 2.
Yes, you can publish as a SCORM solution, using options
within the Quiz Manager menu, and then in Publish menu.

Is it possible to change the height of Spry Menu Bar items?

I'm new to websites and have been trying to understand the CSS of the Spry menu bar. I've managed to put a horizontal menu bar in place and with the help of some previous discussions in this forum, have changed the colours of the menu items and have even managed to centre the text - Thanks!
However, I really would like to have a smaller menu bar - height wise.
I've tried reducing the default height of the menu bar items by adding a height and by reducing the font size and padding. The results have been varied. In Firefox and in Dreamweaver's 'live view' there is still a thin line showing underneath my horizontal menu which is the background colour of the div my menu sits in. In IE there is a similar 'chunk missing' from the bottom of the items.
Is this something that can be done? I've seen lots of help on how to change the width of the items, but have not found any which suggest that the height can be changed.

Sure. You just need to be thorough. Keep in mind that in a Spry Menu Bar you are making the link-text in the list-items block elements, so you will want to change the line-height of the a element. Pick style selectors in the css stylesheet that end in a, with or without an additional class (a.classhere), and play with the line-height.
Another attribute you can consider is the difference in height between Cap and lower case and All caps. You can usually get away with a smaller line-height and a smaller font-size with all caps, because there are no descenders on the text to require more line-height. Keep in mind also that when you state a line-height, your text will center vertically in the line-height, as far as I know, so you might even get away without top and bottom padding.

I have an ipad 2 the game center it know is telling me that game center is currently disabled,you can change this in the settings menu. I do not know were in the settings to look, to fix the settings

How do I change the order of context menu items in Private Windows?

In the context menu that appears when I right-click on a link, I prefer to have "Open Link in New Window" at the top of the menu instead of "Open Link in New Tab". I have added code to userChrome.css to make that switch:

Firefox version 20 added Private Browsing Windows. The above code still works for the non-Private windows, but doesn't affect the Private Windows, so in those I still have "Open Link in New Tab" at the top of the context menu, and "Open Link in New Private Window" as the second item. Is there a way to change the order of these menu items in Private Windows?

How do I increase or change the size of file menu's and tool icons on the opening page/worksheet of Photoshop? The File Menu drop down commands read properly at a comfortable size. I am not sure how I accomplished this, but everything I have tried has no effect on the other page items.

Hello, you can change most of Photoshop's interface text by going to preferences>interface>UI font size.

The power button for the Trackpad is on the right hand end of the battery case. Press that button to initiate the pairing process. On the top of the Trackpad just above the power button is a tiny green light (you probably cannot see it unless it is lighted). That light will indicate ehther or not the Trackpad is discoverable. If the Trackpad has discoverable the green light will blink on and off. If it does not pair within 3 minutes you will have to press the power button again to re-initiate the pairing process. Once your Trackpad has paired, you can just leave it on and it will pair automatically when you reboot your Mac.
If you are having problems pairing, try turning off any other Bluetooth devices within 30 or so feet of your Mac mini. That includes other Computers, iPhones, iPads, etc. that may be in the area. Once your Trackpad has pairedwith your mini, you don't have to be concerned about other Bluetooth devices.
One other hint, I find that although the Wireless Trackpad does not eat batteries as fast as the Magic Mouse it still uses more than the Wireless Keyboard. It is a good idea to keep a supply of AA batteries around. I have used Apple's Rechargable batteries, but found they did not last that long before needing to be recharged. I have had the best battery life from Duracell Quantum batteries.

Font Size Change works on all except menu & Lists

Hi folks. I've searched the forum and gone through about 100 pages of issues with Font size and font changes but have not found an answer that fixes the issue i'm having.
Issue: I change the font size in Menu, options, screen/keyboard. This changes the font on everything in the system EXCEPT the email listing, SMS listings, BBerry Messenger Listings, Menu Lists (like the options menu, etc...
i have seen answers to similar questiions that says that these items might be theme controlled. Is there a way for me to fix without deleting my theme?
i've seen many people telling developers how to allow users to change the font but nothing that addresses this issue.
finally, i've seen some answers that say a person should upgrade to the latest software OS. i ahve the latest OS 5.0.0.654 on a sprint curve 8530...
so to sum up... when i actually see the lsit of emails in my inbox, that font stays constant. when i open a specific email that font is what i chose within Screen/Keyboard option in settings/options menu... Same with SMS, same with almost everything...

If it is a theme issue, the only way to fix it would be to contact the developer and see if they can develop a fix (or adjust it for you). The catch is that when I played around with themes, it seemed that most of these sorts of settings were set within the theme itself and it wasn't easy to be able to adjust it. It's not to say it wouldn't be possible - just that I couldn't figure out how during my efforts.
I'm glad you were able to figure out the source of the problem. I just wish there was something more that you could do to directly fix it yourself.

Dynamically changing the functions in a menu based on the user (in SSHR)

Dear All,
I have a requirement to change the functions in a menu dynamically.
For Ex: An employee is allowed to apply Advance only in the first one month of his/her joining. I created it as an EIT and attached the function, to the menu. Now, i want to remove it automatically from the menu if his/her term in the company crossed one month.
Can any one tell me how to automatically disable it after one month.

How to change color of DHTML sub menu list

im a bit confused with the post so hopefully this will help you, if not then let me know.
I think the problem is that in your renderer your saying
setBackground(header.getBackground());which is setting the backgound of the renderer rather than the selected item, please see an example below, I created a very simple program where it adds JLabels to a list and the renderer changes the colour of the selected item, please note the isSelected boolean.
Object "value" is the currentObject its rendering, obviously you may need to test if its a JLabel before casting it but for this example I kept it simple.

This means that when your item is brought into Encore which uses photoshop files as menu items and you make a change to the art in Photoshop it changes dynamic as you go since you can dynamically link the file, same thing happens with PPro and AE.
You will have to look at creating subpictures and color sets in Encore to be able to change the highlight color. Uploading a SCORM published from a non-Captivate tool

I was wondering if there is a way to use the Multi-Packager feature (or any other feature) to upload SCORM packages that were published using different tools (such as Articulate or other 3rd party tools that produce HTML SCORM packages). I am not sure that I'm doing the correct thing, but uploading the SCORM itself doesn't work with either selecting the 1.2. or the 2004 version. Am I supposed to decompose the SCORM and strip of only certain files and only import those? Could you please help?

Adobe SCORM Packager that comes with Captivate is only designed to work with Captivate SCO output, and even then, only with output from the same version of Captivate that it came from. So you cannot use this SCORM packager tool to combine Captivate SCOs with Articulate SCOs.
If you want another option for packaging SCOs, try RELOAD Editor (Google it).

Getting multiple modules to launch from a single menu. Captivate 7.

Is it possible to create a menu in Captivate that can launch multiple external modules without getting a flash warning in adobe connect? I understand if you go into the global flash settings you can add this to the list of trusted sites. This is something that isn't going to work for our cleint if each user has to go into this menu and manually do this.
Does anyone know a work around for this? I've tried using an html page for the menu because I thought the security issue had to do with a swf file calling to an external swf. I'm not having any luck with this working either. This seems like something that more people should be having issues with because it's a relitively simple request. Is this a global or an Adobe Connect issue? Anyone?

You are correct that trying to get end users to configure Flash security settings is not a viable solution.
If you're getting a Flash security warning message then the issue is that Flash thinks you are crossing over to grab content from a different domain than the calling file. This problem doesn't usually crop up when all files are being served from a web server.
What happens if you test taking all of the files involved and uploading them to a web server? Do they work then?
