  • Change UOM in PR but PO exist for PR

    Hi Experts,
We created a PR with a customized account assignment cat. and material text (no material code) with UOM L , we created PO in UOM L but purchasers cant do GRN because they received material in UOM LG ( which they mentioned in PO/PR Texts area). Now, the issue is with changing the UOM from L to LG in PR/PO.  I could though of only option to delete PO and PR line item and create a new but that we can't do because the same PO number is been shared between concerned parties/departments/contractors.
Please tell me what are the other ways to change UOM. (as I am not using material code so additional data field doesnt come in picture)
    Thanks.
    Saurabh

    Thanks Jurgen.
Even if I delete PO line item and create a new one then UOM should come from PR itself but after PO deletion also PR UOM is in display mode. Is there any program required to run to make it editable?
I found one info. in PO about 'Order price unit' which says:
    Order Price Unit (Purchasing)
Indicates the unit of measurement to which the purchase order price relates.
    Example
A material or commodity (for example, oil) can be ordered by the liter, but the vendor's invoice shows a price of 2 dollars per kilogram.
You enter 10 l as the order quantity and order unit, but specify 2 dollars per kg as purchase order price and purchase order price unit.
In addition, you enter the conversion factor "order unit -> purchase order price unit" (for example 2 l per 1 kg) in the "details" data of the purchase order item.
    In GRN it says:
    Definition: purchase order price unit
    Purchasing (MM-PUR)
An alternative unit of measure that can be used for ordering purposes.
The purchase order price unit enables you to express the purchase order price in a unit that differs from the order unit.
    Example
    Ordered: 100 m2;    Price: $24.20 for 10 kg.
The order unit is m2. The purchase order price unit is kg.
    Return ->
    Definition: purchase order price unit
I was just wondering if I could use this method to change/show a change in UOM. But if no relation exists then... it wont work I think.
    Kindly suggest.
    Thanks

  • Changing UoM of Item which has a transaction

we are going to change UoM of one Item in inventory, But this Item has transaction in system , and also some onhand. how we can do this task by consider the cost and quantity?
    thanks

    Dear Farhadn,
It is not possible to change the items UoM once there are transactions linked to the item. This is the current system definition of SAP Business One.
However, you can use factors (in the item master data) and Base units in marketing documents as workaround.
Please, find instructions in the attached document.
There is also a webex session available on the SAP service market place. Please find below the path to the webex:

  • Create UoM in SRM

    Dear All,
Could you please help me with stepd for creating a new UoM in SRM?
I need to create a UoM of "No Dimensional".
Do I need to create it first in R/3? Through which transaction we can replicate it to SRM?
Is it transportable or do we need to maintain it directly in prodcution system?
    Please help me.
    Thanks.
    SS

    Hi,
    1) You may define the UOM in SRM directly if it is for SRM Local purposes. Meaning that the SRM data will never flow over to Backend ERP.
    2) If the doc using this UOM will flow over to ERP, then it is mandatory to define the UOM in Backend ERP & replicate it over to SRM.
Use tcode CUNI to define the UOM in the appropraite system, based on Points (1) or (2).
If it is (2), then you have to use DNL_CUST_BASIS3 to replicate the UOM from ERP to SRM.
    Cheers,

  • Change UoM in Master Data

    Dear All,
I am going to change UoM in material master data but the system prompts an error "Independent requirements are already assigned to the Material".  However, I already deleted the independent requirements and still the system does not allow.  There are no existing PO or stocks for the material.
Where else should i look into to resolve my error?
    Thanks and regards
    Ching

    Hello Ching,
If it is the base unit of measure that you want to chnage and you have made some use of the material already then the way you will change the base unit of measure is to create a new material copying the existing one but changing the base unit of measure of course before saving and deleting the existing material afterwards.

  • Change UOM in Material master

    Hi friends,
I have a material X in Plant ABC and Plant XYZ.
I have no open PR's and PO's for those materials.
I have received 10 Ea in Plant ABC on 10/20/09 ( Current stock is 10 ea in ABC)
and 20 Ea in Plant XYZ on 11/12/2009.( Current stock is 20 ea in XYZ)
Now I wanted to change the UOM from EA to LB.
I did issue (GM 201) 10 Ea from ABC and 20 Ea from XYZ. So, in MMBE no stock was showing.
Still, when i try to change UOM, it was erroring that "Stock exist in Plant ABC and Plant XYZ" ????
    Any Idea, why so.
    Appreciate your valuable feed back.
Note: I could change the UOM once I canceled the previous material documents to make sure Zero stock.
But, Why I could not be able to change when I issue (GM 201) and made zero stock????
    Regards,
    Dev.

    Hi,
According to your explanation the condition has gone through as below scenarios:
You have received 10 Ea in Plant ABC on 10/20/09 ( Current stock is 10 ea in ABC)
and 20 Ea in Plant XYZ on 11/12/2009.( Current stock is 20 ea in XYZ)
You've issued 10ea in plant ABC on 11/23/09 (GM 201)
    and you've I issued 20 ea in plant XYZ on 11/23/09 (GM201)
From the above, I conclude your current period is 11/2009 (November) and for solving the case on:
Plant ABC. --> cancel your GI (mvt 202) for 10ea with the same current date 11/23/09 then follow by
GI with the previous posting period 10/30/09
Plant XYZ --> display material stock with MM03 under storage location stock tab for previous period stock info.
then you should GI for relevant qty that you've seen onto previous period posting date.
    Hope it may helps you...
    Cheers,

  • Error during Changing UOM

    Hi All,
When we are changing UOM for a material, we are getting error - Purchase orders exists for this material.
When we checked line items of POs with this material, all the line items where this material is used are closed ( that means delivery is completed and delivery completion indicator") is checked.
One method to change UOM is to set the deletion flag for these PO line items and then change UOM.
Can anyone let me know does there is any other option to change UOM for the material without setting deletion flag for the PO line items. IF yes, please let me know how can we change UOM ?. User does not want to set the deletion flag for the POs due to legal risks. Can anyone advise please.
    Thanks in advance

no way to change the UoM until the the PO is archived. you have to delete theopen items as well, then archive the order, then change base unit, then create the order again.
(it is easier to create a new material)

  • Transferring a new UOM to SRM !

    Hi Experts,
We are presently in the release SRM Server 5.0. There is a new UOM added in the backend system, and I want to replicate the same from the backend system to SRM.
Could you let me know if there are any standard function modules which help serve this purpose?
Also, I happened to check the delta download feature - transaction R3AC3 in which I find the customizing adapter object "DNL_CUST_BASIS3", where I think I should be able to set the filter to upload a particular UOM to SRM.
Could you help me with the steps for just replicating one UOM from backend to SRM? Also what are the other available options for achieving the same?
Looking forward for your replies !!
    Regards,
    Rajesh Rajendran

    Hi Muthu,
I clicked on new entries and here is what I was asked to fill.
    Request name
    Adapter object.
Underneath I find the checkbox for Inactive and Use once.
Now in the Adapter object - I could not find the table t006 entry.
However, there were customizing objects for CRM for eg: DNL_COND_A064, DNL_CUST_CUST1, etc..
Which one do I need to select for the UOM?
    Awaiting reply from your end.

  • How to block a particular UOM in SRM?

    Hi All,
We have integrated SRM with Baan through XI.
For a particular company code in Baan, we have not maintained the UOM 'CARD'.
I checked in txn. CUNI in SRM system and UOM 'CARD' is there,
but it is not specific to any company code.
When user is creating SC in SRM using UOM 'CARD', PO gets created in SRM successfully,
    but it fails at XI.
This is because mapping for 'CARD' is not maintained in custom table in XI.
How can we block this UOM 'CARD' for this particular company code in SRM (SC).
    (without affecting other company codes).
    Please help.

  • Issue related to changing UoM in PO which is created w.r.t PR

    Hi All
I have Created a PR without material (i.e for Projects) and entered UoM as EA
I have created a PO w.r.t PR and saved it.
Now i want to change the UoM from EA to AU but system is giving me error.
"Order unit AU not convertible into unit EA of requisition"
So i tried changing in PR but in PR the UoM field is disabled so i cant change the UoM there also
Can you plz guide me what could be the solution to resolve this issue.
    Thanks and regards
    shailesh

    hi..
    UoM cant be changed...
It can be chaged only if..
If there are no stocks of the material in the current period and in the previous period
If there are stocks in the previous period, you can clear them as follows:
    a) Post the stock in the previous period to the current period (for example, using movement type 561) so that the stock for the previous period is the same as the stock for the current period.
    b) Clear the stock with the posting date in the previous period (for example, using movement type 562).
If no purchase requisitions, purchase orders, or scheduling agreements exist for the material
    So. please all these..
    Thnks..

  • Contract Mass change enhancement in SRM 7.0

    Hi Experts,
We are using SRM 7.0 & implementing new Contract mass change functionality for header P.Org. & P. Group data. I have created a Web Dynpro Component (with View similar to /SAPSRM/WDC_UI_AO_CT_MC_D), & implemeted a BADI /SAPSRM/CTR_MC_BADI & added an entry in Table BBPV_CTR_MASSOP.
After selecting the change method i am getting the error "View O_V_PURCH does not exist in the component YWDC_UI_AO_CTR". Actually, O_V_PURCH is an outbound plug of the WEb Dynpro Component. I am not sure why this eror is coming.
Could you please help me out in this. That will be a great help.
FYI - I am using Operational Contract Configuration document as reference.
    Thanks & Best Regards,

    Hi Azad,
    Thanks for the reply.
I checked that the outbound plug is linked to the Window correctly. I do not understand why the plug is considered as a view.(as per the error message"

  • Problem with UOM in SRM

    Hi Guys,
I am experiencing a problem while transferring a contract item from a catalog( i.e in CCM) to SRM, the unit of measure PC is getting converted to EA. where as it should be PC only.
This is in SRM 5.0 version and Extended classic scenario.
Can anyone suggest me a soln for this soon.
    Regards
    Srujan K

    Hi Sanjeev,
    Thanks for your reply,
I have a clarification over here there are 3 units of measurements in SRM and where as in R/3 only 2.
i.e  SRM (EA, PCE, ST) and in R/3 only EA and ST.
I have observed in SRM Each UOM has EA , as an ISO code. PCE UOM has PCE  ISO code, ST UOM has PCE ISO code but for this the primary code is checked.
where as in R/3  Each UOM has EA, as ISO code and ST UOM has PCE ISO code with primary code as checked.
So does this anyways causes any issue.

    Srujan
