Change URL for accessing iWeb pages

Hi,
I'm publishing to a folder and my site is being hosted on a Godaddy account.
The problem I am having, is that I do not like the long URLs that each of my iWeb pages has. For example if I want to forward a link, it's something like "www.domain.com/SITENAME/PAGENAME/FILE." I'd much rather have something cleaner like "www.domain.com/blog" or "blog.domain.com" to forward as a link.
I've been searching around for an answer and found info on Domain Forwarding, Domain Masking, CNames and subdomains. But none of this has fixed the issue. I thought domain forwarding/masking would, but when I entered the info in to GoDaddy my site still had the long URLs when I navigated to it.
Is there anyway to either hide those long URLs or edit the site to shorten the names of the pages? If someone could put up a clear roadmap, step by step, of how to fix this issue that would be great.

I believe GoDaddy offers CNAM forwarding and masking for sites they host. They do for sites hosted on MobileMe. The CNAME method will give the following in the URL window:
CNAME
The CNAME method as setup will display:
DomainName.com/SiteName/Page1.html
DomainName.com/SiteName/page2.html
This will display http://DomainName/SiteName/PageName.html for each of the pages and will let visitors bookmark individual pages.

This is how it is when you host the site on MobileMe and it should work if you host it on GoDaddy. It will give you what you want so check with GoDaddy and see if and how to activate it.

Hyperlink URL for an iweb page for press release

I am writing a press release in Word and I want to create a hyperlink in Word directly to the third page on my iweb site which is http://web.mac.com/decouvrir/mamaloosemusic/Welcome.html. But that adress is for the welcome page. But I want to get directly to another page.
The other page name on my navigation bar is Mamaloose, but the internal title in my iweb list is "mamaloosecorpinfo". What should the resulting URL be in order to go directly to that page?

Okay, firstly you need to sort out your site name. Is this your site here? http://web.me.com/decouvrir.
Your url link does not work, so there is something wrong somewhere. Go into iWeb and check your site name and perhaps re-publish. Also, you need to be using web.me.com and not web.mac.com as you have.
Also, if you are linking from a Word document, it is not the navigation menu that you need to link to, it is the page name from the url and you need to link to in iWeb - so it does not matter what your navigation link is, if you named your page "mamaloosecorpinfo", then your page will be this that followed by .html and it is this that you need to link to, to take you to that page of your website.

to modify "s_login_page" and run AutoConfig. Make sure you have the latest AutoConfig patch applied (Patch 5985992 - TXK AUTOCONFIG ROLLUP PATCH Q (JUL/AUG 2007))
Now it is OK for login page. But :
1-when entering in E_BUSINESS or OAM it goes back to ancient URL ? Should we change some other parameters ?
2-when loging in for example as sysadmin, first time it fails with this message :
You have insufficient privileges for the current operation.
we login again and it is ok , user can enter.

I'm unable to correct a wrong url for my home page in Firefox

I'm unable to correct a wrong url for my home page and have to manually use a separate bookmark that works once the home page loads. I use 3 url's total for the home page and the other 2 load properly.
I've searched for the incorrect url and find it in 'about:config at browser.startup.homepage'. I've made the correction to the url but it does not seem to save when I close out of about:config.
I've reset the home page under Tools and Options many, many times and it still doesn't change what is in
'about:config at browser.startup.homepage
I have been able to save the bookmark with the correct url in other folders.
I've had this problem for quite awhile, at least 8 months or so and keep FF up to date, currently using V33.0.2 and Win7 Home Premium SP1

I changed the pref.js file and that fixed the problem. thanks to those who responded to this question and for the quick replies. jjg18

These are my preferred choices:
request.getRequestURI() will give you the relative path from root. For example:
/mypages/thepageIamon.jsp
request.getRequestURL().toString() will give you the full path. For example:
http://www.mysite.com/mypages/thepageIamon.jsp

All you have to do is click on the RSS button for the feed or go to the link directly. Firefox will figure out that it's an RSS feed and ask you if you want to subscribe. Nice and easy!

hello caseyvan, "about:home" is the url for the default firefox/nightly start page. you can set that as a new tab page when you can enter '''about:config''' into the firefox location bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) and search for the preference named '''browser.newtab.url'''. double-click the entry & change it to any site you want to show up on a new tab.

Configure URL for Course Review Page from Workflow

We need to provide a notification to the course creator that he needs to correct some details of the course.
For this we want to provide a URL in the notification that will the take the course creator to the course review page.
How to configure the workflow attribute for this ?
In my workflow message, I created an attribute of type URL and hardcoded it as follows :

If RFC for TREX is working fine and catalog replication log shows successful, clear TREX cache bfore logon to shop.
Step1: http://<ip>:<port>/b2b/admin/index.jsp
Step2: Application Cache Statistics
Step3: TREXNameServerCache
Step4: Clear
Step5: Logon to shop
Note: if you want to see the replicated product catalog data use report TREX_RFC_AE_EXAMPLE

We need the Communications Express "Log Out" link to go to a different page to the usual log in page. How can I change this?
I've found the logout function in the uwc/common/Header.jsp file which looks like:

}and I've found the getLogoutURL fuction in the uwc/js/resourceBundleUtils.js file which looks like:

You got it in one. If you wanted the logout button to redirect to google you would set:

Element not found when trying to change url for httpstunnel

We use DirectAccess 2012 and Windows 7 is able connect via DirectAccess
Netsh dns show state
shows me that I have httpstunnel adapter with a url
According to the following article I should be able to change that url of the httpstunnel which we use for DirectAccess

Web performance test is used to test if a server responses correctly and the response is consistent with what we expected. And we test the response speed, the stability and scalability.
The Web Performance Test Recorder records both AJAX requests and requests that were submitted from JavaScript, but
web test does not execute JavaScript. I am afraid that you can’t use web test to test parameter past by AJAX or JavaScript.

From the first link, “Client-side scripting that sets parameter values or results in additional HTTP requests, such as AJAX, does affect the load on the server and might require you to manually modify the Web Performance Test to simulate the scripting.”

I am not sure what the ‘some attribute on the page’ is. If you mean that you want to test those controls on the page, you can do coded UI test, which can test that the user interface for an application functions correctly. The coded UI test performs actions

Cannot change font for UTF-8 pages in FF 4.0.1

No matter whether I change Options > Content > Default font, or go to Options > Content > Advanced and set Sans Serif for Other Languages, nothing changes—for instance, on this forum. Everything's still Times New Roman from the looks of it.
The Sans Serif font for Other Languages is set to Arial.
There's no Unicode entry in the list. The Other Languages is the closest I could find.
I have Options > Content > Advanced > Allow pages to choose their own fonts… unchecked.
I made similar changes for Western, and that worked—for pages detected as having ISO-8859-1 encoding.
Is this a bug? Or am I doing something wrong?

On a more general note, I think that the font setup in Firefox is so over-complicated. I personally want all my pages in a single font, and I don't care if some weird languages are displayed incorrectly with it. I bet that most people do want the same, even them who speak those weird languages. It's just a matter of picking one font that works for the languages you care about.
Now that might not work perfectly for everybody so there should be an advanced option—an ability to add overrides. It should be similar to how it works now but the list of overrides should be user-customizable and '''empty by default.''' So that we regular people don't bother ourselves with encodings and languages we're never going to use.
I wonder if I'm the only one who's disappointed with FF's font settings. Couldn't find anything on this topic on the 'net.

Before we had a link to linjegods.no, but now we have to change this link to another web-site called schenker.no.
Where is it possible to do this change?
