Change user for backup scheduled job

Hi all,
In our ecc 6.0 system is cluster controlled.i have scheduled regular br offline backup @ night for this month in db13.In a particular day for some reason i have removed the scheduler in db13 and also delete the associated released background job in sm37.On the next day after restarting the system i change the user for backup background job in sm37 for the current day but i need the changes for all rest of the day of this month.One option is that delete from db13 and recreate again with required usreid.
without recreate could anyone tell me how to change the user for background job for the other day also??
Regards
Pinaki

Hi
In order to change the user id in SM37 to run under different user you can highlight the background job which is scheduled to run, double click on that and click on STEP in task bar.
Click on USER and you would have a change pencil icon.
Click on Pencile Icon and It would take you to another pop up were you can have the user name entered.
In this way job would would show some other user name who is creator but would run under the person whom we have entered above.
Thanks and Regards

  • Change variant for background scheduled jobs

    Hi experts,
    I want to schedule the report RKO7KO8G in background.
    Two of the selection parameters of this report are Settlement period & Settlement year.
    This report should be executed in the background every month. For this the period parameter should change every month
    , like for example when the report executes in background in May then period should be 05, June - period should be 06
    and so on.
    i.e. the variant should change.
    For this how do i create a dynamic variant. I tried to create dynamic variant but it says that the parameter
    should be a date field. However, the settlement period field over has input from 001 to 999 & not date field.
    I want to schedule this report in background on a monthly basis and change its input parameter Settlement period
    as per the month.
    Please suggest.

    Priti.

    Hi experts!
    We change the user that execute all our jobs. Could you tell me, how i do the change user for this job.
    Best Regards
    Ramon Sanchez

    Hi!
    My problem have been solved. The job SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_STARTUP_DP is automatically created by
    Job SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP. It is an event triggered job to handle the startup-methods which are to be processed in batch.
    The event is SAP_MONITORING_STARTUP_DISPATCH; I only select the job in SM37 and specify this event and after made the search the job  SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_STARTUP_DP i only change the user.
    Thank you all for your help!

  • Auto alert mechanism for ATG scheduled job failure and BCC project failure

    Hello all,
    Could you please confirm if there are auto alert mechanisms for ATG scheduled job failure and BCC project failure?
    Waiting for reply.
    Thanks and regards,

    Hi,
    You need to write custom code to get alerts if an ATG Scheduler fails.
    For BCC project deployment monitoring, please refer to the below link in the documentation.

  • Changing user for Torch 9800

    I did get a new phone to myself and will give my well served Torch 9800 too my wife to replace even older Nokia E71. But what is the best way to change user for phone? I am not worried about leaving any data to phone, but I want to change all e-mails addresses, phone set-ups etc.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Whenever you give your phone to someone else, do a security wipe. That way, it'll be like they're getting a new phone right out of the box with no data left over from you.
    I hope that helps you.

  • Change user for bckground job

    Hi all,
    Right now BI jobs (daily, weekly, monthly, process chains etc) are scheduled under the SAP user's id. My organization is changing these names to employee ids and hence they are knocking off the existing SAP user ids. Obviously the jobs will get stuck.
    Now, my question is  ...
    1. what is the std. user under which the jobs should run ?
    2. How do I convert all the existing jobs that are under various SAP users to a std BW username? what is the procedure ?
    Thanks.

    Vaishali,
    I don't know of any "standard" user ID for this. You can just create your own user for this purpose. We called it "BWBATCH".
    Our Basis guys took care of changing the user id running the processes. Check with your Basis Team.
    But since we wanted this ID to be not only the one running the jobs but also the one owning them we just logged as this user in the system and rescheduled all the jobs. Now he's the owner and the "runner" too...
    Hope this helps.

  • Logrotion and Backup schedule job does'nt work?

    Hi,
    I have schedule the Syslog Logrotation and CiscoWorks backup jobs to run weekly via LMS, but they are not working. BUT I can manually do the log rotation as well as Backups via LMS.
    I am using LMS:3.2; RME:4.3.0
    Thanks

    You don't see any other issues?
    Maybe post a pdshow -brief
    I would say the jrm is responsible for lauching these jobs, post the jrm.log
    Do you see any errors in the dbbackup.log at the time the jobs are scheduled? If so, post  it.
    Not sure if it requires the task scheduler services to run. You may want to check if it is on.
    Cheers,
    Michel

  • Oracle user for backup tool

    Hello,
    I´m with some doubts regarding an error that I´m facing right now. We need to setup a RMAN tool for we can do backup of our SAP system (with Oracle Database) but it show me the following error when I insert the user name PRDADM ( which is the <sid>adm).
    I don´t know which user we need to use at this stage and which privileges it needs to work and make the backup action of this oracle database.
    This is the error:
    This user account does not have the privileges that are required to log on to the Oracle database.
    In SQL Plus I checked which users I have in dba_users and this is the output:
    SQL> select username from dba_users;
    USERNAME
    OPS$SAPSERVICEPRD

    OPS$LISES1001\PRDADM
    OPS$ORAPRD
    SYS
    SYSTEM
    DIP
    TSMSYS
    Can you help me please. Can you tell me which user I need to use?!
    Kind regards,
    samid raif

    Hello samid,
    Try this...
    In Symantec tool (Backup Exec) you have to insert the following information:
    In "Database Access" tab, you must use an OS user with the required privileges which are described in the following article from Symantec:
    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH63665
    In "Oracle" tab you need to add which oracle db instance you want to connect and also you need to insert an oracle user! For this I would suggest you to create a specific user for this backup procedure (<orauser>):
    create user <orauser> identified by <orauser password>;
    Then you need to add the required privileges for this oracle user, which are mentioned in the following article from Symantec:
    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH82892
    Now I guess you have all you need to run a backup without problems!
    Kind regards,
    João Dimas

  • Capture DDL for Oracle Scheduled Jobs and job from DBMA_JOBS

    I have trying at this for while and now I am stuck...so I need some help or advice.
    I am doing a DB migration and I need to capture the DDL for all Oracle Scheduled Jobs as well as DBMS_JOBS. Anyone have a good way?
    I took a datapump export last week. Can I run a impdp and capture the DDL for this VIA the sqlfile parameter? If so, how? What would be the script for it. Something like this maybe (par file)?
    directory=DP_IMPORT
    DUMPFILE=dump1.dmp
    SCHEMAS=A,B,C...X,Y,Z
    LOGFILE=JOBS.LOG
    EXCLUDE=TABLE,INDEX,CONSTRAINT
    PARALLEL=4
    INCLUDE=JOBS

    Hello,
    It's JOB, see following table for possible options , I recommend you to read throught this thoroughly before starting.

  • Changing user for PPF - Post Processing Framework

    Hello,
    Is there a way to change the user for a Post Processing action once the trigger is activated?
    There are times where we want a user action to kick off a PPF task, but we do not want them to have security to complete this extra task themselves.  Also, the PPF task may create an activity document where we want a specific user id to be shown.
    I believe the answer is no, but was wondering if anyone else out there was able to do this or had other ideas?
    Thanks.
    Mike

    Thank you, PK!
    That helped us look at our system and we do see a logical RFC connection we set up 6 years ago for workflow for when we went live.  So that did help us some.
    If we set up this logical connection, do you know how we can tie the ABAP RFC that we set up in BRF to use that logical connection?
    Thanks.

  • Bat file for running scheduled jobs

    Hi
    I am not entirely sure whether this is the correct forum to post this question, so apologies if I have posted this question in the wrong place.
    Anyhow, I would like to know how to create two automated bat file scripts that will execute a PL/SQL package that will tell my Oracle 10g R2 database to run a scheduled job. Equally, I need another bat file to tell it to drop the scheduled job.
    I already have a PL/SQL package that creates a schedule job using dbms_scheduler, and I can execute the scheduled job by going into SQL Plus running the execute command against the package. It is this latter bit, the execute part that I want to automate into bat file.
    Can someone show me how to do this?

    I'm in complete agreement with Hans. Oracle has two facilities DBMS_JOB and DBMS_SCHEDULER neither of which benefits in any way be being called by a batch file.
    What is your version number (all of it) and why are you considering this idea?

  • Changing the timing in scheduler jobs

    Hi All,
    In the below code I have given the execution timing as 2:15. But next run date value is showing as 3:00 AM. What is wrong here?. I created this job at 2:00 AM
    SQL> select owner,LAST_START_DATE,NEXT_RUN_DATE from dba_Scheduler_jobs where JOB_NAME='job2' and owner='owner1';
    OWNER LAST_START_DATE NEXT_RUN_DATE
    owner1 08-DEC-12 03.00.00.000000 AM -
    05:00
    SQL> BEGIN
    2 DBMS_SCHEDULER.create_job (
    3 job_name => owner1.job2',
    4 job_type => 'PLSQL_BLOCK',
    5 job_action => job2();',
    6 start_date => '08-Dec-12 2.15.00AM',
    7 repeat_interval => 'freq=hourly; byminute=0; bysecond=0;',
    8 end_date => NULL,
    9 enabled => TRUE,
    10 comments => 'None');
    11 END;
    12 /

    the start_date defines the point in time when the schedule becames active. But the time of the next execution is determined by the repeat_interval - in your case: byminute=0; bysecond=0:
    BEGIN
      DBMS_SCHEDULER.create_job (
      job_name => 'test_job',
      job_type => 'PLSQL_BLOCK',
      job_action => 'begin null; end;',
      start_date => to_date('08.12.2012 02:15', 'dd.mm.yyyy hh24:mi'),
      repeat_interval => 'freq=hourly; byminute=0; bysecond=0;',
      end_date => NULL,
      enabled => TRUE,
      comments => 'None');
    END;
    select job_name
         , start_date
         , repeat_interval
         , next_run_date
      from dba_scheduler_jobs
    where job_name like '%&job_name%'
       and owner not like 'SYS%'
    order by owner
            , job_name
    JOB_NAME   START_DATE                          REPEAT_INTERVAL                      NEXT_RUN_DATE
    TEST_JOB   08.12.12 02:15:00,000000 +01:00     freq=hourly; byminute=0; bysecond=0; 08.12.12 12:00:00,000000 +01:00
