Change Visible Signal Bar Text???

Can the text in the "visible signal" bar be changed? We'd like it to say "My Company IT Support" or some such. I see where the permissions dialog text can be changed, but I can't find any documentation on the "visible signal." Our teachers and staff freak out when the "ZENworks Remote Management" bar pops up. Sometimes they turn the system off. No, I can't get anyone train or explain to them what this means, and some people simply forget. It would really help to be able personally brand the "visible signal."
If it requires editing server files, I may be out of luck, as my boss can't remember and didn't write down the primary server's root password for the third time.
Thanks

  • Signal bars change to numbers when touched

    I restored my 3GS to 3.1.3 just now but of course, I restored from my backup also because I need my text messages, notes and all...
    now, this was also true before the restore (software), that when I touched the signal bars they changed to a certain negative number. When the restore finished, I tried to change them but they didn't. The restore from backup got them back to the same thing.
    So I'm wondering, is there any way to get the bars to remain permanent?

    Why don't you just tap them once and not tap them again? I find that I inadvertently tap and bring up the bars every once in a while. I just tap again to bring up the numbers... no big deal. You can do the opposite if you don't want the numbers.
    I would not trust the bars as Apple reset them with the 3.0 update (I think) to show more bars for the same signal strength. Personally, I think they're worthless because I can have 3-4 bars and barely have a signal. The numbers are much more indicative of the actual signal strength, thus why they show (and not the bars) in Field Test Mode.

    In Firefox 2.0+ you can go to Advanced JavaScript Settings and check a box to allow scripts to change status bar text. How do I do this is Firefox 10.0.1?

    Two items in the Advanced JavaScript window were removed as of the Firefox 4.0 version, but they are still available thru about:config .
    Type '''about:config''' in the URL bar and hit Enter. <br />
    ''If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.''
    Filter = '''dom.disable_window_status_change''' = double-click to toggle to '''false''' to allow websites to mess with status text.

  • The little 'E' that was next to my signal bars has dissapeared and now i can't send texts, make calls or go on the internet.HELP!

    The little 'E' that was next to my signal bars has dissapeared and now i can't send texts, make calls or go on the internet. WHY? HELP!

    As suggested make sure "cellular data" is ON and you have valid cellular data plan.
    That "E" sign only shows the network (Edge) or 3G (if you are in the 3G network), but it has no relation to you not been able to make regular calls or sending regular texts with network signal (in the form of bars) being present.
    Double check if you have credit in your phone (in case of pre-paid) or if you have reached your limit (in case of post-paid)

  • No signal bar

    Hi. I have unlocked not jailbroken IPhone 4. It is currently running IOs 5.1 on baseband 04.12.01. Two days ago i went and got myself a new vodafone UK sim card from the shop. (i got the phone from friend of mine who got it form Vodafone UK shop Pay as You go) I put the sim in the phone, the carrier on the top came: Vodafone Uk but i don't have any signal bars. Also the 3G on the phone is working normaly but i dont have any signal, i cant call anyone on text anyone its just the 3G working properly. I went different playces to see is the problem only where i lived, i went to the next town and the next one.....NO CHANGE. I restored the IPhone because i thought that is some bug with the phone and maybe this will clear it and help me...NO LUCK. When i restored the Itunes told me: congratulations your Iphone is been unlock. I was happy but i know its unlocked iphone so no big a deal. I left it in the computer for 24 houers because i thought that will help but again NO LUCK. So i thing is a baseband problem but i dont know. Any advice you can give me. Thanks VASTI
    I

    I will not comment on "you unlocking your phone" part.
    Your baseband is correct.
    It is very much possible that you bought an Internet only SIM card.

  • Can I change the reort total: text in the summary row in a report region?

    Hi all,
    This might has been asked before, I tried searching the forum but couldn't find an answer. In the report attribute, if I tick the sum checkbox then run the page, the last row would give me the summary numbers which is what I want. However is there a way I can change the "report total" text in the last row of the first column?
    Thanks very much for your time.
    Pete

    Hello user9546327,
    I had the same problem, until I realised that the text seems to be printed under the first column of the report. If that one is a hidden column, the text won't be printed in the report.
    Solution:
    In the 'Report Attributes' tab, move the first visible column (= attribute 'Show' is ticked) to the top of the report columns.
    Best regards,
    Sabine

  • Cannot change Compiz title bar on MATE Appearance

    I've tried a lot of searching but I just can't find a solution...
    I have MATE/GNOME 2 and Compiz worked pretty well on it.
    However I can't seem to get GTK to change the title bar on any theme, and if Compiz is disabled, I get no title bar.
    I even changed the window title font to show the problem.
    I've tried reinstalling Compiz, the GTK decorator, changing to different themes, but nothing works.
    Edit: gconftool-2 --set --type string /apps/metacity/general/theme "Theme"
    changes the title bar, apparently

    I think you are talking about the all-day event space at the top of each day. this is where all-day events are located, and unfortunately you cannot resize that space manually, it resizes itself automatically depending on the number of all-day events created, and yes the only way to view the text is to double click on that event.
    however, when you publish a calendar you are given the option to publish titles and notes, check that option, then publish your calendar. The user viewing your published calendar will be able to click on that all-day event and view the entire title and/or notes associated with that event in a pop up window.
    hope this helps

  • Changing the color of text while mouse listener.

    Hi all. working on an assignment for school and I need a little hint.
    I am creating an applet to basically input names in txt blocks, and then you hit a button that will move the names to a text area. Well the instructor asked us to use a mouse listener to change the color of the labels on the txt blocks. Basically when you hover your mouse over the button it is supposed to change the color of the button (for and back ground), and change the color of the labels on the txt blocks.
    I just did a general setForground(color.blue);
    for my labels default color and it seemed to do the trick, I used the following code to try to change the color of both the buttons and the txt block labels, but only the button works.
    Please assist..
    public class Assignment2 extends java.applet.Applet implements ActionListener, MouseListener {
    public void mouseExited(MouseEvent e){
    //Colors Back
    setForeground(Color.blue);
    btnAdd.setForeground(Color.red);
    btnAdd.setBackground(Color.yellow);
    //Clear Status bar
    showStatus("");
    public void mouseClicked(MouseEvent e) {
    //empty Method
    public void mousePressed(MouseEvent e){
    //empty method
    public void mouseReleased(MouseEvent e){
    //empty method

    HI,
    Sorry for delay. I was not on my seat.
    I've modified your code and the label colors are changing now on the mouse over or out events.
    I did this only for a single label i.e. "First Name". Just have a look on the code and do the same for the rest labels.
    If u feel any problem, then revert to me.

  • On a MAC (10.6) I want to make the icons/tool bar text bigger. How???

    Simple. I want to make the icons/tool bar text bigger. i.e., the words "Home" "Reload" "Stop" "History", etc in toolbar are way, too small. I need bigger icons, toolbar text, and bigger text on TABS. How can I do this?

  • Changing a Navigation Bar

    So I've chose the 'Main Stage' template (I think that's what it's called) and I'm customising it myself. I want to change the colour of the navigation bar and get rid of the footer at the bottom. To get rid of the footer I've just reduced the footer size, is that the best thing to do? And I can cant find a way of changing the navigation bar's colour????
    Help!
    Cheers

    Regarding the footer the only way to get rid of it is to set it to zero in the Inspector/Page/Layout pane.
    As for the links color, that's all controlled by javascript and not readily doable. Cyclosaurus has posted various javascript bits to use in HTML snippets to modify the links. The only color script I've found of his is to change the rollover color. You can read about it near the middle of this demo page: Misc. Items.
    You can have much more control over the navbar by creating your own Text Based Navbar. Deactivate the built in navbar and create a text box with the links in the font (Web Safe Font only). The downside is that you will have to copy an past the text box on each page the first time an any time you add or remove a page.

  • Navigation Bar text colour

    Hi- is it possible to change the navigation bar colour ? I've been trying but not discovered how to. I started with the white template.
    Thankx, Kay.

    Kay:
    It's not a normal user controlled item. It's generated by javascript and somewhere in iWeb's themes packages there's a .js file that you can edit to make some changes. It's not for the faint of heart.
    However, you can make your on text based navbar and have any font (web safe), color, roll over color, etc. like in this demo page.
