Change Web Service User Language

Hi ,
I need to change my service providers(web service) user (EHP5). After creating endpoint with no authentication using soamanager (which only have username and password option ), system don't let me change default login language in SICF . Before EHP5 I can change username , password and login language using SICF. Do you have any idea where I can change it ?
Thanks in advance.

No ideas?

  • Set the Web Service output Language

    Hi,
    I have created (exposed) a web service based on a ABAP function module.
    Among the output data there are some values which are correctly translated
    in the login language (ITA or ENG) if I use the SAP GUI to test the function.
    On the contrary, if I use the "Web Service Navigator" the same data are returned
    in German Language. How can I change this behaviour ? How Can I do to return
    these parameters in a choosen language (like ITA or ENG)?
    Thanks in advance
    Luca

    Hi Luca,
    I recently had a similar requirement and described how to do this in a short blog.
    I realise this is probably too late to be of use to you, but it might help others in the future.

  • Data Federator - Changing Web Service Datasource URL

    Hi,
    I am using Data Federator XI 3.0.
    I have a few web service datasources with their WSDL URL set to the location of the web service on my development machine. If I deploy the web service on the production server, is there a way to simply update WSDL URL of the datasources in Data Federator without recreating them (copy to draft, update operations, reselect operations, etc.) ?
    I tried putting the URL in a deployment context parameter, but it did not work. The datasources still reference the old URL even when I changed the URL in the parameter.
    Thanks,
    Chih Hui

    Hi,
    If you want to configure Connections post deployment, it is required for your application to be configured with a Writable MDS Repository.As I had mentioned in the blog also, for this you need a entry in adf-config.xml and that your server should have a registered MDS store. Unless you will do this, the connection endpoint changes that you are doing will not be saved.
    To give an example, at the application end, in adf-config.xml, you need an entry like the following:
    <adf-mds-config xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/mds/config">
    <mds-config xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/mds/config" version="11.1.1.000">
    <persistence-config>
    <metadata-store-usages>
    <metadata-store-usage default-cust-store="true" deploy-target="true" id="myRepos">
    </metadata-store-usage>
    </metadata-store-usages>
    </persistence-config>
    </mds-config>
    </adf-mds-config>
    When you will deploy this app to a server with a registered MDS repository, the deployment will bring up a dialog where you will need to set(select/create) a partition for this app in the mds repository. Once, your deployment is done, now if you will change the endpoint using EM, it will save your changes.

  • External Web Service - User and password in HTTP header

    Hi!
    How is it possible to add user and password in the HTTP header in a external web service call?
    I have created a "Portal Service from WSDL file - Client side" with the wizard in SAP Developer Studio.  I following the Java Development Guide - Web Service Security, and use the <i>secured service connection</i>.  I have also created a new <i>System Landscape</i>, but should the new system be based on HTTP, my own PAR or what?
    How can I check that the user and password is added to the HTTP header or the SOAP envelope? Do I have to scan http traffic with a proxy as Paros or can I find the request sent from SAP EP in the logs?
    Cheers
    Asle

    Hello All,
    I have been struggling a bit while putting a reasonable security framework on a jax-rpc style web service. I'm using JWSDP1.2 to set up the webservice. I've tried to outline my problem below. Please correct me where I'm wrong.
    I've been through the Sun's WS tutorials, but they are not really clear on security. However, from them I surmised that there are two decent authentication techniques. HTTP Basic and mutual authentication (MA) . Both have their drawbacks though. HTTP Basic suffers from poor encryption while MA is a bit difficult to set up on both client and server sides. Another problem with MA is that there is no central repository for users/passwords.
    OK, what I would really like to do is use my own user database to verify users/passwords i.e. use a HTTP Basic like authentication (but at application level) but run it over SSL for encryption. It seems simple, but is it possible?
    Also, I have noted that when I use HTTP Basic on the service side, and use a java client, then setting username/password has no effect. In other words, I can always access the web-service, even with wrong username/password.
    Sorry for the long post. Hope someone can help. Thanks.

  • Change Web Service Endpoint dynamically in CE 7.2

    Hi experts.
    Is it possible to change endpoint of web services in CE 7.2?
    There are 2 ECC clients for test, so I want to change the endpoint of AWS model dynamically, for example,
    application parameters.
    Thanks for your time.

  • Changed web services need to be imported in NWDS mapping

    Hi All
    I have to import a web service WSDL in service interfaces of the project in NWDS and use it in a mapping which is in a read web service step in BPM.
    The mapping already has a WSDL having different name but same namespace as of the new WSDL
    How do I do this? I imported the new WSDL using import WSDL in service interfaces but the mapping is still referrring to the old WSDL even after changing the interface to point to new WSDL in interface tab of the read web service.
    I can see the new WSDL in the mapping but when I map source to target, I get the error "expected the old wsdl ns and name but having the new WSDL namespace and name". I believe this is related to the namespace clash. What is the suggested solution for this?
    What is the procedure in this kind of situation?
    thx
    mike

    Hi Varun
    Check this thread
    Using external jars in Java Mapping jar archive
    Add the jar as imported archive and reference it in Functions tab of Message Mapping

  • Change Web Service IP

    I'm building an ADF Mobile application that consumes a Web Service using Data Control. However web service is on development machine so its IP changes everyday. I couldn't find anywhere in Jdeveloper to change the IP so afraid to remove the data control and start over. My goal is to change the IP in JDeveloper when its changed and rebuild the application so it will consume the same web service from other IP and runs.
    Thank you all.

    Look for the connections.xml file under your application resources accordion -> Descriptors.
    In there you'll find the hard coded ip address for your WS - you can change it there.

  • Changing web-services.xml for handler

    I have been using the servicegen task to generate the .ear file for my webservice.
    Among other things, it took care of generating the web-services.xml file for me.
    I have a need to write a handler and thus it requires changes in the web-services.xml.
    I generated the web-services.xml file the first time and made the handler related
    changes and it's working fine.
    But now, I loose the auto-generation facility (since I have hand-edited it for
    handler changes). Any time, I change the interface of the webservice, I would
    have to manually change the web-services.xml file to reflect the new interface.
    Is there a better way of doing this so that I can auto-generate the webservices.xml
    file plus make my handler changes. Anything in the ant to do it smartly, rather
    than doing it manually. I would imagine that anyone who writes a handler would
    run into similar situation.
    thanks for help.

    Here is an example of ejb and source2wsdd.

    It works with EJBs too. You should use ejbLink attribute
    to point to the ejb link. Something like:
    <source2wsdd
    javaSource="${sourcecode.for.the.ejb.interface}"
    ddFile="${webss.output.dir}/WEB-INF/web-services.xml"
    typesInfo="${webss.output.dir}/WEB-INF/classes/types.xml"
    serviceURI="${webss.service.url}"
    ejbLink="${webss.ejb.link}" >

    Thanks for the response. But the source2wsdd task only works with javacomponents
    whereas we have ejbs. Any other clues/suggestions.

    Thanks for the response. I'll appreciate if you could share the

    Hi John,
    This is a know problem with WLS 7.0 and WLS 8.1. The
    DD file (web-services.xml) is much more expressive than
    the servicegen ant task. So one needs to modify the DD
    to use some features. But, if one modifies the DD then it
    is difficult to use the ant tasks again for iterative developemnt.
    JSR 181 [1] and JSR 175 [2] tries to address this
    problem by providing metadata (markup) in source code.
    Unfortunately these JSRs are in the early stages and
    will be completed around JDK 1.5 timeframe. There
    is an internal implementation of a similar beast in WLS
    since 7.0 SP2, but it is not officially supported or
    documented. Mainly because the above said JSRs are
    supposed to address iterative development problem
    in a standard way.
    So, if you cannot wait for the JSRs and dont mind using
    a non standard implementation that may not be supported
    or may change in the next major release (~WLS 9.0),
    let me know. I can send you details.

  • Database change - Web services sdk

    Can you change the server and database of a crystal report at schedule time via the web services sdk?  These reports have subreports and linked parameters if that makes a difference.  We'd make copies of the report and change them via the CMC's custom database logon but that doesn't seem to work either.

    Wrapping a stored proc in a command object.
    One of the most common issues that prevent changing the Custom Logon database and server fields to point to another data source is this:
    Crystal fully qualifies table and stored proc references.  This is to ensure certainty in where the data comes from, rather than leaving it up to the database default schema.  This causes issues where changes to the full schema name is different between servers.
    There's a configuration setting for the data location "Override qualified table names" that can be used for some data source types to change the naming from fully-qualified.
    I'm assuming you're doing something similar by wrapping the stored proc in a command object.
    Sincerely,
    Ted Ueda

  • Change web service refresh rate

    I'm running LabVIEW Web Service with an application which follow the method shown in the weather monitor example. But my problem facing here is I need to keep click the refresh button then the Web Service only can update the latest data for me. So can anyone help me to show example on how to let the Web Service webpage automatically update the value without press the refresh button. Thank you
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    First of all your client needs to support it. If you use the LabVIEW HTTP Client (GET.vi and so on) you cannot use this method. A normal browser should.
    Take a look at FindContacts.vi from the Address Book example.
    The help topic linked in the previous post should get you on the way as well. The infos are a bit scattered all over help file but it should be possible to understand it.
    Basically there are two output options for a web service VI: Terminal mode as used in the Weather example and Stream mode as used in the Address Book example VI.
    Use the Stream mode and construct the HTML page yourself, then send it to the browser with Write Response.vi. Somewhere in the top of the HTML page you need to insert
    <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="5">
    So you should return a string like
    <HEAD>
    <TITLE>my title</TITLE>
    <META http-equiv="refresh" content="5">
    </HEAD>
    <BODY>
    <P>If your browser supports Refresh,
    this page refreshes in 5 seconds.
    And add some real contents here
    </BODY>
     See W3C as well.
    Good luck

  • Change Web-service destination system

    Hi There,
    How to change the WS destination  URL for WS action block based on the host system.
    I have a BLS in DEV system calling a webservice from 3rd party DEV system . When i promoted this BLS to MII QA , Obviously it is still referring to old URL.
    I want to dynamically change the URL of WS Action to call webservice of 3rd party QA system. Like wise, MII PROD should call Prod WS of 3rd party.
    I can change the URL manually after the promotion, but wondering there should be elegant way to deal with in MII framework.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Hari

    Hi Hari
    if you want to point the WS Action to a different Endpoint because the Quality and Production servers point to different sources you may use the Shared Memory properties.
    Do the following steps
    1. Create the transactions with the WS Action pointing the first destination. While configuring the WS Action please ensure that the Host and Port (the part that will change) is mentioned in the WSDL Base URL param as shown below. Ensure that the '/' at the end is there in Base URL.
    The static part of the URL is mentioned in the URL part.
    2. Configure the WS Action and test if this works.
    3. Save the transaction.
    4. Go to the Meta - Inf tab in MII Workbench and open the SharedProperties file inside the same project where the trx is saved
    5. Create a new property of type String. You may enter the default value of the property same as the WSDL Base URL in step 1. Save the file.
    6. In the WS Action in your transaction open the Link Editor and map this property to the WSDL Base URL property of the action. Check if the action still runs correctly.
    7. Transport/Import the project in the other MII server.
    8. Open the MII Admin screens and navigate to Data Services --> Shared Memory. You should see this property you created in step 4.
    9. Edit the property and set its value to the new URL.
    10. Execute the transaction and it should now run the action with new destination.
    Best regards
    Partha

  • Language independent web service

    Hi,
    I have a question about web service...
    Our Web application uses SAP web services to communicate to SAP R/3 function modules.
    Currently I am creating one web service for one user langauge(English,Japanese). I mean web service is language dependent. I don't want to create web service for each user language.
    I am using wsadmin transaction to create web services.
    I want to create web service from the function module with out any specific language attached to it.
    I should be able to pass any language(which user selects in the front end) and invoke corresponding web services? Will it be possible?
    Appreciate your help or any lead on this

    this is explained in this weblog.

  • Changes to the Web Service publishing process (Operationalization)

    With the new release of Azure ML features, we are updating the web service publishing workflow. Below are the list of changes:
    Web Service Input / Output modules: these replace the input and output ports previously used to create web services. You can now drag and drop them on the experiment from the left pane under Web Services (instead of right-clicking on the module).
    Generation of Scoring experiment from Training experiment: We have automated the steps in creating a Scoring experiment by adding the Web service input and output modules, and automated the saving of the Trained model. With this feature, you no longer need
    to manually save a trained model and add it to a Scoring Experiment. The "Create Scoring Experiment" button will trigger these events and generate the Scoring Experiment for you. The resulting Scoring experiment can be published as a web service
    as is, or user can make modifications to the generated workflow including location of input/output modules.
    To use this feature:
      ○ Create a Training Experiment (includes an algorithm such as Boosted Decision Tree and a Train Module)
      ○ Click Run
      ○ Click Create Scoring Experiment
      ○ Review the resulting Experiment, then Click Run
      ○ Then click Publish Web Service
    A sample Training Experiment:
    Publishing a Training experiment as a web service:Similar to the Scoring experiment, we have now automated the steps to create a web service from the Training experiment using the "Prepare web service" command button. This action adds Web service
    input and output modules to the training experiment. The experiment can then be published as a web service. This  approach to creating a web service is needed for setting up the Trained model for retraining using the Retraining APIs. But is not the recommended
    approach for creating web services - Scoring experiment should be used for that purpose.
    Publishing an experiment as a web service: in cases where the experiment does not involve training, such as when processing, transforming and cleaning up data, it can also be published as a web service using the "Prepare web service" button.
    We will publish more detailed documentation for this and other features shortly. Please let us know if you have any questions.
    Thanks,
    The Azure ML Team

    Hey Freppas, can you give some more information about your first ask? For classifiers, we already output the scored probability along with the scored label. You can limit the output to just the probability using the Project Columns module to exclude unwanted
    columns. The web service is not concerned with domain-specific functionality - it will output exactly what you see being output in Studio when you set up the web service ports
    The second ask is something we're working on bringing to our product - feature importance. Again, you would have to make it happen in the Studio before you publish the web service for the web service to have that functionality

  • Web Services change

    Hi friends,
    I am trying to develop a web service which has read and change operations. The web service is for activity documents.
    I am able to create and test the web service.
    For read, it is working fine. When I enter the object ID as a starting parameter I can see the details in response part.
    But for change I couldn't manage to see a meaningful response.
    In request for change there are three parameters ActionCode, Controller and webservice name as a tree with more details. When I enter the object ID under webservice name, it returns nothing.
    What parameters should I enter for testing change web services?
    How should I fill ActionCode and Controller parameters?
    Regards.

    Hello Digvijay,
    Web service tool provided in CRM 2007 is an exact replica of the transaction GENIL_BOL_BROWSER. What ever is supported by your Component set will be supported. But the test tool used for web service is not so intelligent that it cannot disable or enable the attributes on the field attribute values that are defined by the application developer.
    Since it is activity component , the component set would be BT or ONEORDER. Try, create/read/search/modfiy from the BOL browser passing the exact values. If it works there, then it should exactly beahve the same in web service.
    I guess you may not be passing all the attributes. when ever there is nothing in the response section of the web service testing tool, it means that the request did not even reach the core business logic. There might be cookie problems as well sometimes. Try clearing your cookies and pass the necessary details, it should work fine.
    Regarding the action, check the data elemenet CRMT_MODE. It has the possible codes.
    A     Create
    B     Change
    C     Display
    D     Delete
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Vinay
