I have a new macbook pro and unopened versions of Photoshop elements 8 and Serif pageplus and Serif webplus. I am wondering if I should
1.buy windows 7 to run these applications (serif don't have a mac compatible version)
2. Return the elements for a mac version
3. Return all and swich to mac based software as I am about to start new business requiring website and publishing and that is what MAC is renonwed for. Am I missing a trick trying to use windows programmes for what MAC is specialised in? Would appreciate any help as fairly new to this

Websites: you probably will NEED to run Windows in a VM just to check out how it looks and that it works in Windows anyway.
And no one can really answer, though you are locked into Mac software that supports 10.6.
So run both. Run each off its own partition, and run Windows concurrently in a VM.

Unless things have changed, there are separate S/N's for the PC and the Mac versions.
I would immediately contact Adobe Customer Support (not Technical Support), and explain the error. I feel that they will be able to help you with replacing the PC version.

What can be done so that I can either open and see the layers or how can the sender save it in a way that it doesn't "merge" the layers in some way to just one?

Could try saving as tiff provided layers and transparency are chosen at the time of saving. But it's hard to give a definitive answer as it depends on the final usage. For example PSD's tend to work better in applications like In Design in comparison with tiff.

Tools Panel missing in Photoshop CS6 for Mac

I have been using Photoshop CS6 for Mac for about 6 mths. now. When I opened it yesterday to work on some photos, I noticed that my tools panel that is always located on the left side of my screen had disappeared. I have been unable to locate it anywhere. Also, the top of my photoshop page looks different. Any assistance that I could get would be greatly appreciated.

Playback Lag in Premiere Pro CS6 for Mac

I'm editing a project in Premiere Pro CS6 for Mac, and the playback is really laggy. Its fine if you're viewing one long clip, but it gets really laggy when it switches between clips. The sound will play, but the playback screen will be frozen on the last frame from the previous clip. I use the latest thin model of the iMac. Can anybody help me?

Perpetual products which use serial numbers are platform specific. You will not be able to use the same serial on a windows machine.
In order to use Photoshop on both Windows and Mac you will have to go for a creative cloud subscription.

I Want to Buy Adobe Photoshop CS6 for Mac - NOT Creative Cloud

I just bought a new iMac and I would like to buy Adobe Photoshop CS6 for Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.2. I am NOT interested in the monthly subscription for Creative Cloud, so please don't even try and sell that to me. I was told by the place I bought my new iMac that Adobe would still sell me Photoshop CS6 if I contacted them. Since I was unable to find a phone number to call, I thought I would try my luck on this forum. Again, I was told that Adobe would send me a link or something like that where I can buy and download Photoshop CS6. Since my new iMac does NOT have a CD/DVD-ROM drive, I would only be able to download the software. I understand that the monthly subscription for Creative Cloud is the newest way of using Photoshop, but I am not interested in that at all. I would greatly appreciate any and all assistance with this matter. Thank you for your time and I anxiously await a response.

I am a long time user of Dreamweaver CS 5.5 for PC and recently purchased an IMac. I have a trial version of Dreamweaver CS6 for Mac and am having difficulty displaying an html file in Live View. I always used "Preview in Browser" in CS 5.5 and need this same feature. I have an active site that I imported into CS6 and the site uses templates. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
