Change wording "Directory" to "Search" in the listing search button

Hi Robert,
I'm fairly certain that these are the caption keys for this module, although it's possible that it is another key. There are a lot of old or redundant keys in the language files so it might take a while to hunt for them. Search in the Caption Editor in the AdminConsole and see what other keys contain this.
It might be worth noting that I have had problems with the Caption Editor in the past so it might be worth copying the language file to your build's .delta folder and changing the caption there. It's worth noting that if you do this, any future language pack implementation would need to be delta-merged into the existing configuration.

Please show me how to get rid of yahoo search COMPLETELY! I prefer google to search in the center search bar like I used to have even though it is on the search task bar

After adding a program yahoo has hijacked the search bar on the center start screen. I still have google in the task bar but would like it to also search on the main search box like it used to. A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Right click with mouse in Word 2013 does not give the list with translate and synonyms etc

since i upgraded to windows 8.1 right click on words in word 2013 does not open the regular list where you can tap on synonyms and translate.
it does work if i touch the screen.
i moved to mouse mode but it does not help

I have tested in my computer and it worked well.
Normally when we type a wrong spelling, right clicking the word does not give a list with translate and synonyms.
Check to make sure your spelling is right.
if the issue persists, Start Word in safe mode to check the issue:Hold "Ctrl" key and click into the program.
It is also recommended that you do a repair for your Office suites in
Control panel>Program and features>Office>Change>Repair

Termstore changes are not getting reflected in the list items in SharePoint 2010 farm environment

Hi,
I had created managed metadata with termstores from central admin. Then I had created one list in which added a column of type managed metadata using the managed metadata which I had created. And also added few list items to this list.
The problem is that after updating a termstore the changes are not reflecting in the list items which were added before the update.
I have referred the following links:

According to the links we need to run Taxonomy Update Scheduler on the server for updated termstore to get reflected. After running
this scheduler on development environment changes are getting reflected but not working on the production environment.

You should check the obvious. You made the change in dev, but did you make the change in production too? And, is the term you updated, actually the one that you are looking at in the list item?
There is not much, if anything, that can go wrong with that timer job. so I'd guess that the term you are looking at is not the one you think you are updating.
If you have double checked everything (the term is is in fact the same term id), then you may have something erroring in the update process. In this case, you should check the ULS logs for any errors.

Dbacockpit and the 'List View'-Button

Hi there,
since the update to NetWeaver 7.00 we get the new tac dbacockpit. After implement the required sapnotes it works fine.
But where are my 'List View'-buttons in the old tac db2 esp. Installation Parameters and Subsystem Activity?
This buttons produced a helpfull output to compare the parameters of different systems.
But now there is no way to get an overview on all bufferpools with all the information at one time. It's a long way to go through all bufferpool detail pages.
Is there any way to get back the old behavior of the tac db2 ?

Kay,
Some of the lists have been disabled since the old design is not in accordance with the 'Accessibility' layout (see service.sap.com/accessibility for more details ).
Unfortunately there's no workaround for this.

Dropdown list tooltip changing when scrolling over values in the list

Hi,
I have a dropdown list where the tooltip is bound to a context attribute.
Once I select a value in the dropdown list the tooltip changes with it.
What I would like to have is that when I scroll through the dropdown list (go over the values of the dropdown list) tooltip changes.
How can I trigger an event on 'go over the value in dropdown list' ?

    Yes It is possible to due that for that you have to do following things
1) Please connect tooltip to some element of context of Type string
2) Now On select of particular value populate that text in element of node.
Just take case you made some node called 'Ttip' and make element as temptemp.
now on select you will populate appropiate content based on condition of value

does anyone know how to search for all of those portal components which use a certain other component?
let's make it specific. how can i know which of the portal components (portal reports and forms, content folders, etc) are using any certain LOV?

Windows xp old desktop, downloaded firefox, able to search web with google in top righthand corner, but can't search using the firefox search box, why not?

Computer novice, with old windows xp desktop, changed to firefox, have firefox as homepage, but can't use the central firefox search box, I type a word, click on search .......and....wait.......nothing happens. Have been able to use the top right hand corner search box (set on google). Not great with computers, so feel like I'm really missing something basic! Help! Thanks!

I'm in Spain & I do a search in the Google search place, the address shows as Google.es How do I make it use Google.co.uk all the time?

Because it reverts to Google.es, a lot of the hits are in Spanish. What I'm really trying to do is access UK sites to buy stuff for when I get home & it's a pain having to change .es to .co.uk on each search

I use Firefox 6.0.1 on Windows 7.
I installed '''Free Desktop Clock 2.37''' from Drive Software, and then Firefox was hi-jacked, though I carefully chose the custom installaion.
Edit: Free Desktop Clock itself does not hi-jack Firefox. It's another program (name forgotten) bundled with Free Desktop Clock that did it, adding a toolbar, changing the homepage, changing the default search engine, etc. Actually, those forced alterations can be changed back easily, such as a resetting of the "keyword.url" pref. So, "hi-jack" may be a description that's too strong.
Anyway, I have managed to clean it up -- unsolicited toolbar, forced homepage, forced default search engine, etc.
But there is still one problem.
In the dialogue window of '''Manage Search Engine List''', which appears when you click the drop arrow on the left of the Search Bar and then click Manage Search Engines, the '''Restore Defaults''' button is disabled (grayed out).
How can that button be re-enabled?

Is Free Desktop Clock still listed? If not this may be because the listed search engines are the defaults, so there may be nothing to restore. If you manually added other search engines, you may have to reinstall those separately. I can't open .doc downloads with MS Office. I click tools-options-applications and Word is not in the list of choices. I browse and double click MS Office to choose it only to get more subfolders. How do I choose Office?

When I receive a .doc (or .docx) to download from an email, open office or another similar application is chosen to open it instead of MS Office Word (have 2007 student). When I go to Tools>Options>Applications, Word does not appear on the list. When I use the Browse button, I cannot choose Word either. I double click on the MS Office folder only to get more subfolders.

I have a similar problem. Even though Word is listed under Firefox applications as opening .doc files, when I try to download a .doc file, it always asks me to choose an application and I have to go through an extra three steps to open Word.

Is it possible to ignore noise words conditionally in working with Full text search containstable

I have a question on stoplist file. I need to search for exact phrase string("this is the incident") which contains noise words. As part of the FT search engine, during parsing it eliminates noise word and search on remaining string in
the given phrase.
let us say there are 10 rows which contains the term "incident" in the FT table . and 1 row which has the exact phrase.i.e."this is the incident".
if we use containstable() to search for "this is the incident", we are getting 10 rows instead of 1 row.
To resolve the issue, we have 3 solutions
1.either stoplist file needs to be modified to remove the words (this,is,the)
2. set stoplist = OFF.
3.empty stoplist.
Apart from the above solutions, is there any better solution with out touching noise words file list.
If any solution that provides flexibility to ignore noise words conditionally at one time and not to ignore them.
Please provide your suggestion.

One question that I ask is: Why would I want to exclude noise words?
Noise words were created to limit the size of the full text indexes and avoid processing the many 'this', 'is', and 'the' common words. But the disadvantage of doing so is that you cannot find some things as you would like.
My feeling is that computers are more powerful and have more storage and it is often better to just index everything. As long as your search does not include 'the', then the large number of 'the's in the system will pretty much be ignored.
NOTE: If you change the noise words, including SET STOPLIST = OFF, you have to rebuild the index in order for it to implement your decision.
Of course, for very, very large full text indexes you would need to test.
Is your full text search on relation database columns, e.g. Description NVARCHAR(1000) or are you searching Word, Excel, and other more complex data?
If your full text is relational columns, it might be that you could:
1. Select only the fulltextkey into a temp table (e.g. #FTSfulltextkey) from the full text index using noise words. That would give you 10 rows.
2. Then directly query the table to find the string as you define above. (But remember that punctuation and symbols are generally ignored by Full Text Indexing, but would still be there in the string of text.)

Full text search is powerful, but it has limits. And the behaviour changes depending on the Language of the search.
