Change work centre in CO11N
Hi,
In production order of 10 EA, I have two operations. operation 0010 on work centre T1, operation 0020 on work centre D1.Co11N is done for operation 0010 for 4 EA.
Now rest 6 Ea of first operation has to be done on work centre T2 ( because T1 is brokedown).
Pls help how to map this? Else is there any option to enter a new work centre( work centre T2) in CO11N screen during confirmation?

Hi,
As we know there is possibility in routing to have alternavtive sequence & parallel sequence along with standard sequence. But there will be one work center always associated to single operation. And as you explained, this change in work center for operation 0010 for 6 quantities was happened due to breakdown for work center T1.
For work around you can do one thing, for first 4 quantities do the confirmation as per planned work center i.e. T1 (as per routing data). Now go to change production order, change work center T2 from T1 for operation 0010. Now the confirmation for remaining 6 qauntities will happen against T2 work center.
Now whenever you fetch report for confirmation to that production order, it will always shown two confirmations for operation 0010 with 4 qty -T1 work center & 6 qty - T2 work center. I hope this will slove your problem. Coz change in work center was very uncertain due to breakdown, not a regular one. If it is regular, you can map with sequencing in routing.

IW32 Auto update of profit centre when work centre is changed
Hi... we have some difficulties with PM exits. Basically, if the work centre for an order is changed in IW32, SAP does not automatically re-populate the profit centre and cost centre associated with the changed work centre. To try to achieve this I have implemented the Sap suggested exits EXIT_SAPLCOIH_005/IWO10005 (for profit centre) and EXIT_SAPLCOIH_025/IWO10025 (for cost centre). The cost centre exit works. For the profit centre exit to work (invoke EXIT_SAPLCOIH_005) it needs profit centre to be blank. Being change mode (IW32) this field is populated already and asking the users to blank the profit centre field beforehand is not practical. Tried to see if auto blanking the profit centre field as soon as the work centre field is changed is possible... but there is no exit triggered at that point to do this. It appears that EXIT_SAPLCOIH_005 is triggered before anything else. Any ideas on how Profit Centre can be updated? (I have tried previous exit suggestions here). Thanks...
Profit Centres are generally applicable only for Revenue & Expense accounts.
When you load the opening balances, it affect the Inventory Account which is an Account Account and that is why there is no Profit Centre marked in the JE. -
Restricting the change of workcentre in CO11N to selected work centres
Dear PP Gurus,
I have included the following screen
0420: Personnel: incl work center and posting date in the confirmation profile, so that the user can change the work centre at the time of confirmation. However the user wants that there should be a check where in only the workcentres which are used in parallel to be allowed for the perticular operation.
Please guide how to achieve this? Can we have a check thorugh any of the user exit below:
CONFPP02 PP order conf.: Customer specific input checks 1
CONFPP03 PP order conf.: Cust. specific check after op. selection
CONFPP04 PP order conf.: Customer specific input checks 2
CONFPP05 PP order conf.: Customer specific enhancements when saving
Eg.
For operation 0020 the user may perform the confirmations on Weld1 /Weld2 /Weld 3 machine. Now the system will allow to select any work centre other than these three. That may lead to wrong confirmation. The user wants to restrict the work centres to be selected to these three only. These three machines are mentioend as parallel sequence in the routing.

Work centre change in production order
Hi,
During creation of production order, i want to change the work centre if in the existing operation, that particular work centre is overloaded.
Could any one let me know what are the steps involved in it.

Goto CM25 & select the Overload workcenter & underload workcenter .
Inside the planning tabel select the Operation from "Order (Pool) tabel" and drag manually to the "under load workcenter " displayed in upper table (workcenter) for required date. Now the operation workcenter has become changed & rescheduled.

Changing Profit Centre in IW32 of a Work Order
Hi Gurus,
I am trying to change a Profit centre in a Work Order via IW32 as Profit Centre is greyed out.I know it has to done via changing the Functional Location.But although i have changed Function Location still Profit Centre remains unchanged..
Is there any way to change Profit Centres in WOs?
Also please let me know are there restrictions on WOs status for changing Profit centres?

The system proposes the profit center in the cost center belonging to the responsible work center. You can overwrite this, however.
If you change the responsible work center in the order, the system does not automatically overwrite the profit center on the additional data header screen. If required, change this manually.
You can change the profit center in the order, provided that no actual data exists for the order yet

How to Create New Activity Type for Assiged to work centre Costing in Acti

We have four activity type to assigned in workcentre Costing Activity. Details are as under

SULTEX 2010 SULTEX
SULZER 2010 SULZER
in addition one more loom is comming in our unit and require new activity type.
How can i create new.

To create new Activity Type , you need to follow the below steps :
KA01 - Create Primary Cost Element for the new activities type.
KL01 - Create Activity Type tied to the primary cost element.
KP26 - Change Activity Type/Activity Price Planning - maintain the Variable price
Assign the activity type to cost center using T code KP26.
In the input screen of T code KP26 ,enter version as 0, from period 1 and to period as 12 and the Fiscal Year as 20xx.
Click on Overview tab on top and key in costing details in this screen.
After performing this ,while creating the work center ,this combination of activity type & cost center should be assigned.
At work centre level , you should have
1.Create Standrad Value Key -OP19 and Formula Key in OP49.
2.Create Formula Parameters in OP7B or u can use existing one to assing in the Standard Value Key
3.In CR02-Assing the Standard value key in Basic Data and select the Formula Key in Costing tab with cost centre assingement .Save

You can not delete if its being used somewhere. If its being used,you can change those work centers and then mark deletion flag for WC( CR02> Basic Data>Extras>Status> Deletion Flag). In this case it can not be assigned in future.
If WC is not being used, CR02> Basic Data> Work Center--> Delete

Hi,
My client wants in CO11n screen, where we select employee ID by pressing F4, client should get get only those operators ID to be listed who are assigned to this work centre.
Is it possible? But to get this I should assign in my work centre the names of three operators who will work on 3 different shifts or else who all are possibly be working in this work centre( my work centres are not asigned to any shift, they are available 24 hrs in a day) but where and how to assign?

We have the same kind of requirement in our case.We developed ZCO11N where operator id /supervisor id ,list of work centre (Asset number ) are added with SAP Tables.U need to discuss with SAP ABAP Developer
More oever , in ECC 6.0 version , for CO11N u have option at Personal Data Tab at the bottom of the screen where u can include the Person Name/Work Centre /Posting Dates/Plant available .
I hope this itselg will solve your problem.Let me know if you want ZCO11n functionality .

Selection criteria is
list= oprations
Profile =standatd profile
Prod order box = select.
Give ur production order list & plant then excute. inside trhe report u can change the layout as u need

While creating work centre in technical data tab by mistake i input some value but now i am not able to delete those value as system is showing it as mandetory field.

First of all tell that if they r mandatory field; then unless u enter any value in them how could u save??
But in case u have entered some incorrect value and since it is mandatory; u are not able to delete it...Hope this is the case
Hence in order to make these fields as "non mandatory"; go to T Code OPFA and in that under technical group; change it from mandatory to input

Hi, we assigned 6 parameters like setup, machine etc in work center. Same work centers used in prod orders. While confirming against prod order and operation no in co11n screen, only 3 parameters were displayed where as we set 6 parameters in work centr. Please advise how to display all parameters mentioned in work center in co11n screen.

1) For this you need to settings in OPK0
2) For ur confirmation profile double click it
3) Now under are selection for second option take 0310 ( activity 1 to activity 6 )
4) Now click on default tab, for all 6 services there should not be any ticks
5) then click on Preview, now system will show all 6 parameters
5) then save & back & execute CO11N, u can see 6 parameters

Hi,
A person is authorized to add people in the work sentre through T-code IR02 but every time he is adding a person in the work centre it indirectly affects the HR Master Data.I have a business requirement which has to make sure that the changes to the data in the work centre should be independent of the HR Master Data and the data should remain the same before and after the changes.Is there anything i am missing on my part.

These changes reflecting were due to Dynamic Actions.check is there any DA is defined for this Work Centre field in the Table T588Z using TCode SM30. IF exist based on u r requirement De-Active those Statments and check.

Using the data maintained for a work center, you can
determine which machines or people are to be used in the operations
calculate costs, capacities and dates for the operations
OP42 - Configure the default value for Work Center during the initial creation.
After creating many work center in the Routing, the users might want to check what materials and components allocation have been updated with this work center. You can used this program Work Center in Routing - Search through all the routing for the material and component allocation used.
The standard program transaction CA80, checks where the work center was used in the routing. However, it did not list the components allocation for the work center.
Pooled Capacity field - When a production order 1234567 has the capacity requirement on its work center Wxxxxx. It means it has the requirement on pooled capacity Pxxxxx. If more than one work center shared this pooled capacity, the requirement (transaction CM01) will be shown on all the work center with the SAME shared pooled capacity.
In HR system we will the cost per each Work Center level. This work center we can assing org unit leave or postion level also.
Please revet back further clarifications.

Definition
Operations are carried out at a work center. In the R/3 System work centers are business objects that can represent the following real work centers, for example:
Machines, machine groups
Production lines
Assembly work centers
Employees, groups of employees
Use
Together with bills of material and routings, work centers belong to the most important master data in the R/3 production planning and control system. Work centers are used in task list operations and work orders. Task lists are for example routings, maintenance task lists, inspection plans and standard networks. Work orders are created for production, quality assurance, plant maintenance and for the Project System as networks.
Data in work centers is used for
Scheduling
Operating times and formulas are entered in the work center, so that the duration of an operation can be calculated.
Costing
Formulas are entered in the work center, so that the costs of an operation can be calculated. A work center is also assigned to a cost center.

The available capacity and formulas for calculating capacity requirements are entered in the work center.
Simplifying operation maintenance
Various default values for operations can be entered in the work center.
