Changeable mode in quality for particular tcode without open client(scc4).

Dear Expert,
Tcodes like FTXP,OB08 and OB52 are in changeable mode in client production(900) whereas it is in display mode in client quality(400), we require this to be changeable mode in 400 too without client open (SCC4). Please let me know how to do it.

Hi Sanjay,
These are called current settings, which are perticularly changable when the client role is set to "Production" (in SCC4), even though the client is closed in SCC4.
Hence this can be achived by two means, one by keeping the client open for configuration (like in Dev system), or by changing the client role to production (like production system).
None of the above two settings is recomended in quality fsystem or permanent basis. Hence the best option is to change the setting on demand basis in quality systen.

Hi Parag,
To get the business object for given transaction,
1) Go to transaction SWELS
2) Switch on the event trace.
3) Go to the given transaction (For which you want to know the business object)
4) Execute the transaction
5) Go back to SWELS and Switch off the event trace
6) Go to transaction SWEL.. Here you will get the Business Object name (one which starts with BUS)

You know , I am an OCD . I alway's close my Mail app and miss many important new emails .

What I do is open the Mail.app, then click the red traffic light (upper left corner of the main Mail.app window) to close that window. The app itself will remain running and you will get updates - this helps keep the desktop tidy while while the mail app remains running. When an update is received, simply click the either the mail icon in your dock or go to the Mail.app menu and click Window > Message Viewer.

Able to open fse2 without opening client

Hi,
In our production environment one user is able to open fse2 transaction code, without opening client,
While remaining users are not able to, if any other user is trying to open fse2 tcode getting status "client XXX has status not modifiable"
I have checked roles, parameters of the user who is trying to open fse2 and given same roles and parameters to another user, but he is not able to open.
I want fse2 transaction code to be opened for another user without asking "client XXX has status not modifiable"

Hi Gowtham,
I assume below configuration has been performed for one of the users in Production.
1. Change the SPRO settings for view V_T011 using SOBJ as outlined in SAP Note#135028 - Transfer IMG activity to Current Settings.
2. Further, Message FE-146, also needs to converted to an Information or Warning message, using OBA5 as outlined in SAP Note#109577 - Changing FS version although client not changeable.
Due to this only one user can perform the changes. Please cross and do the needful as required.

GO to NACE and select your application and click on output types and in the next screen select your output type and and dbl click on Processing routines.
Here you will come to know about which driver program is used for which smartform or Script.
and for Program details you can refer table: REPOSRC

Why won't Mail won't look for new messages without opening up the app?

Mail doesn't automatically look for new emails until I open up the app. I don't get notifications and a badge doesn't show up. I always have to open the application for it to search for new messages even though I have it set to search every minute.

according to the support site your system has an Intel 4965AGN (n-disabled) wlan card. The "n" cannot be re-enabled.

Display Droplet settings without opening compressor

Hello,
Just as I think I get to know what I am doing, I discover I do not.
With apple compressor 3.0 I could double click a droplet, and see the settings
for it (codec, audio, etc).
I have recently upgraded to Compressor 3.5, and it seems I can no longer get at
the settings for a droplet without opening Compressor.
Or - is there a way to view a droplet's settings that has been created in Compressor 3.5.
Also, (another post) - any droplet created in version 3.0 does not work with FCP 3, Snow Leopard, etc.
I must recreate the droplet using version 3.5.
Any ideas or suggestions here?

I was having the exact same problem, and I searched the support site and forums endlessly. I found one discussion that mentioned Apple's Basic troubleshooting for Compressor found here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302845-en. I didn't want to go through all these steps, and I didn't think it should be necessary because I keep my editing system extremely clean. Clean install, no superfluous applications etc'. Being up against a deadline though, and finding no other options, I did it. To my surprise it actually worked. Keep in mind I followed the steps exactly. When I started Compressor only the basic windows opened so I went to the Window -> Layouts and picked the first Standard layout and everything popped open. I noticed that FCP had reverted back to version 6.00 and Compressor was at 3.00. I was afraid an update would break Compressor again, but since my projects are all version 6.02 I had no choice. I don't know that it makes any difference, but I updated Compressor first (deselecting FCP and Motion). Then after testing Compressor I did the other updates.

Compress the requests without opening PRD client

Hello experts,
Everytime we take INIT loads into 0IC_C03, we have to compress the BX,BF & UM requests. But it is only possible after opening the PRD client.
Can anyone guide how to compress these requests without opening client? Is there any special auth. required for this?

When you open the client and compress - are you asked for any request.
What I think is happening is that there might be some tables which have entries being deleted and recreated. For deleting the entry you will have to open the client if the table is not maintainable.
As a process if no request is triggered then it is a table issue - check if you can set any namespace to modifiable and resolve this or if you are getting a request then you will have to open the client.

I'm fixing a Numbers document that I use in business daily that's become overly complicated, but while I want to clear/delete a number of cells in it to clean it up, I'm not sure if those cells are being used as source for other formulas on the page. I don't have to open all my formulas one by one to see if that cell is in there, do I?! That'd be a huge amount of work if I wanted to eliminate say 10 cells to search each formula on the page to see if it is in there or watch all the cells when I delete that cell to see if the numbers change! There's got to be an easier way! Right click doesn't seem to be any help.
I don't want to damage my daily tool to make it cleaner and reorganize it. Is there really no way to do a reverse look-up of which formulas a particular cell is in?! Any time I click on a formula it highlights all the CELLS in that formula. Why can't I (or can I?) do the reverse and see all the FORMULAS that contain a particular cell?
As a Numbers document ages or gets used frequently, you can sometimes forget which cells are tied to which formulas. You just look for the results of your formulas. Would be a nice thing to be able to do. Thoughts? Work-arounds? Answers?

Answer would be no unless application provided such feature. Numbers does not as far as I know.
Note that even if you have complete list of formulae used in a table, identifying formulae referencing any given cell is not simple.
E.g., cell T20 is referenced not only in
=T20+1
but also in
=SUM(T)
=SUM(20:20)
=SUM(S19:U22)
=OFFSET(S1,19,1,1,1)
=INDIRECT("T"&(10*2))
In order to identify such formula, we have to actually evaluate it to see if it references the given cell. Especially such formula as OFFSET() and INDIRECT() may not be found by static parser because their parameters can be dynamic.

For eg in MM01 there is a field with RMMG1
where dioes the data get saved from this field as in backend it shows the stucture and the structure can hold data only at runtime,

Hi,
The strcuture : RMMG1 holds data at run time only that to it can hold only one record at a time.
so we use this structure to hold data at run time and then we insert those values into database tables for that program.
Here you can the values stored and processed in the program in the tables : MARA (for matnr ,mbrsh,mtart..),MARC (for Plant ),MARD( for storage location : lgort )...etc.
so if you want to fecth some data means first you have to choose right table to fetch information by passing values in the selection screen.

i need to lock few transaction for particular users only. we have n number of roles and the transactions have been assigned to some tcodes to be reasticted for a list of users. is there any method or program to built to restrict the users for few tcodes.is there any more query pl trigger me

as you said if i start creating roles to restrict some users then there atleast 25 tcodes are there to restrict and 120 roles are to be analyzed and the job becomes hefty by creating roles and there will too many number of roles and it becomes confusion in future forecast. there fore i nedd any suggestion like that the userscan be restricted when they are trying to access that particular code or lock the screen or inform them to not access these tcodes thro some message or writing a program to restrict the users while the user exits. i have an idea but i dont know how it will work - ( I am not a ABAPER) there should be tcode or program which should list tcodes authorized for particular users and where they can be locked like SM01 ( but it will lock for all) but locking for particular users
