Changed Apple ID, now want to change back and keep app programs and in-app purchases
I changed my Apple ID from a Yahoo address to my Gmail address to stop my kids from making accidental in-app purchases. (Of course I set up the family sharing option with the new ID. Then, I bought my son a new iPad Air to replace his iPad of a previous generation. He had not changed the iPad set up from the Yahoo to Gmail. When I tried to set up his new iPad (using the new ID) all but one of the programs made it to the new iPad. Not a major issue. But, none of the items bought, won, picked up in the games made it with the programs. I attempted to return the Apple ID back to the Yahoo. Even though I know my birthday, I get stuck in the answer questions option to make my desired changes. When i attempt to get the email sent to get the process started, it never arrives. The email addresses have not changed to my knowledge.
How do I make the change back to the old ID? Around the questions and email barriers.
How do i get the in-app purchased content to transfer to the new iPad?

Help! I have a new iPhone 5s. My husband just lost his 4s, so I want to give him my 4s. We want to use same Apple ID so we both have access to itunes/apps purchases. Want to separate contacts, messages, mail, etc. I cannot change iCloud address on 4s iPhone. Also, when I tried to change iMessage I got a message that if I deleted my id (which seemed to be the only way to get my husband's I'd there), I would not be able to receive iMessages on any device.

I would just follow the instructions from this article to give your unused 4s to your spouse. Since you have already started using your 5s, you will still be receiving iMessages on that phone and will have no need to receive them on a device that has been replaced. If i selected to "Create a new backup" and then canceled that option but want to go back and select "Inherit backup history"; how do I go back and do that since now when I plug in my external hard drive, that option doesn't appear anymore?? Any Help? I bought a MacBook Air, but decided to return it for the newest model, and I wanted to back it up so that I can then back it up on my new MacBook Air. I didn't understand the option to Inherit or start a new back up, and therefore selected the option to create a new backup. I believe I should have selected to Inherit backup history so that when i back it up on the new MackBook Air, it appears the same as the one I'm returning.... Is there anyway that i can re-select the option to Inherit backup history for time machine?

I have bought a Seagate Backup Plus 1TB drive, first time during plug-in, I have selected Mac Windows option which excludes Time Machine to work on it, but now I want to go back and select Only Mac option to activate my Time Machine application.
I request you to help me with the procedure of the same?IMPORTANT - This will reformat your Seagate drive and hence wipe it. If there is anything on your Seagate drive you want to keep, save it somewhere else FIRST.
Plug the drive in.
In Finder select Applications > Utilities > Disc Utilities.
Select the external drive, select Partition option, give it a name (I call mine Mac Backup), select Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as the Format and under the drop down menu "Partition Layout" select the number of partitions you want (so if you want the drive to just be for Time Machine, select 1 Partition, if you want part of the drive to be for Time Machine and the rest for something else, select 2 partitions and so on). Click apply and the Disc Utility will partition and reformat your drive ready to use.
When this is complete, open Time Machine in System Preferences. Use Select Disc to select the drive (or if you have multiple partitions, the partition of the drive) you want and you are good to go.
This may be a long way round, but it gives you the option to partition your disc which you may want. -
We just got 2 iPad air today and Set up both with the same Apple ID, now I'm getting FaceTime and messages for my 12 yr. old. Do I have to set up a separate Apple ID for her to avoid this?
It's a trust issue. You can set them up so you don't receive each other's messages as long as you each have your own email address.
The trust issue is the fact that either of you can change the separation at any time via Settings by checking the appropriate (inappropriate?) email address.
To be absolutely sure you can never receive each other's messages will require two Apple IDs. -
My iPhone 4 is having issues w/the home button. It doesn't work at all and I have to shut the phone own completely each time I want to toggle back and Roth ou of different apps, to us the phone, take pics., etc. Is there a fix for this issue or will I need a new phone?
Open any default IOS application ( like calculator, weather, stocks etc) on the iPhone
Press and hold the Power button till the ‘Slide to Shutdown’ screen appears.
Now release the Power button and gently hold the Home button.
Try this a couple of times if it doesnt work first time. -

I am new to epublishing but I wrote a book using ibooks Author. I am now wanting to publish but I keep hitting stumbling blocks like--it asks if I have epub rights? Do I?? Do I need to purchase them or are they implied if you are the author?

If you are the author of the content, then you already have all the rights. Of course if your book contains photos or other things created by other authors, you may need to acquire the rights to use those in your book. -

Changed appleid, then changed back and now apps don't update
I recently changed my appleid to a new email address, resulting in me not being able to update any of my apps from the previous appleid, (and trust me i tried everything), but now i switch it back to the old appleid(after hours of problem solving) but now the old apps ask for my old appleid but when i try to update them nothing happens, i enter my password then nothing happens. litterally goes back the saying an update is availible but everytime i try to update the app it doesnt. Please help
Please provide more detail. How was your account changed? What changed? What errors do you get (if any) when trying to update an app? We are kind of going blind here with such vague description of your issue.

Hello, my boyfriend connected his iphone to his cousin mac computed and it synked with his cousin icloud so he lost all his information. Even his background pictured changed and his emails accounts!! We need to know how to change back his icloud account!

Set up iPhone 4 as new, but now want to go back to most recent backup in iTunes
Is erase and install the best way to do to this? And will the backups on iTunes always be available for me to choose. What if I try my phone as a 'new' phone for a week, then want to restore back to the last back up I did before I made it new? Will it always be there?
Unfortunately Apple products are very product specific. Ever notice how you can't exchange music via cable on a friends iPhone? It's the same blocking system that is used to block transferring data between two iPhones on a single computer. So, unfortunately you won't be able to retrieve the SMS messages you've lost. Sorry

Can widget be made in a way that allows it to be running the entire time a particular ibook is open?
Functionality would require that a widget be running the entire time an ibook is open, not just while it was the particular page with the ibook. If there is any way to have this sort of functionality, even if it isn't a widget I haven't been able to
