Changed Apple IDs and cannot get old files to play

I have changed my apple id and i have files associated to the old account. How do I get them associated with the new one. I don't remember the password to the old account

All content that you buy/download from Apple is tied to that account that downloaded it, and it can't be copied or transferred to a different account. So if you created a new account as opposed to updating the existing one then you will need to continue to use the old account to authorise the old purchases - if you can't remember the old account's password then you can try getting it reset via this page.

Recently I find that once I use Apple TV I cannot switch back to the ipad for viewing even if I go back to the little rectangular screen and change the checkmark to ipad. I have changed my Apple Id but I cannot get Apps to recognize the change. This is true on my MAC and my iPhone. I input my new Apple Id and it assumes I forgot my password.

Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with one Apple ID with a new Apple ID.

Hi! This seems to bee a common problem (i. e. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4094417?tstart=0) and i have it as well. As usual you can't get help here but a lot of inspiration
I recommend to upgrade the firmware using a LAN-connection and try it again. If it's stable keep it that way, if not return it to the store and get a new one.
Before of course make sure there is none of the following settings in your router:
- MAC Adress based filtering allowing only specific clients to connect (unlikely)
- no hidden SSID (wifi's name) (unlikely)
- DHCP turned on. If not, your ATV has to have a fixed IP Adress (unlikely)
- Password and Encryption mechanism is correct
It's 90% the devices fault in my opinion.

When you create the file in Flash, it is usually best to also have it publish an html page. Copy the embedding code that Flash creates in the html file and paste it into your intended html file. The Flash code may also be reliant on including a .js file, which it will also create, so that needs to be placed in the site folder. The header of the Flash html may include a script link to this js file, so you need to copy/paste that in the intended html page as well.

HT201412 my apple ipad will turn on but i only get the apple sign and cannot get past that

I can turn on my ipad but only the apple sign will appear. the secreen is black with only the apple sign showing. I push the start buttron on and off and it will not do anything but show the apple icon. I also pudsh to top right hand button and hold the button for 5 second and it will not do anything. This has never happened to me before. It is fully charged. Can someone tell help get past this and tell me how to reset? I do not know what operating system i have.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Made a slide show and cannot get my music to play on it?

I made a new slide show on my Macbook Pro iphoto (running iphoto '11-- 9.4.2) and I clicked down at the bottom to add my music to the slide show.. I can see how to direct it to my itunes library. I chose an album. Clicked "choose." But then when I play the slide show I hear soem stupid default music that has nothing to do with anything..?
Also I could settle with one album off of my itunes, but I saw that I could customize the playlist on that pop up thing and then I put basically two albums in there.. But it did not seem to remember the custom playlist.. Even though I hit "choose" which I think would make it select and remember what I had entered..??
What to do? Specifics are very helpful on what I click and where it is, if possible..

Cannot get any sound when playing .avi files

Hi All
I am running QT version 6.5.3 on Mac OS X 10.2.8 and cannot get any sound when playing .avi files but the picture is perfect.
I have installed the following: M-Peg 2 playback component, AVI Components and AC3 component.
Does anyone know if I am missing anything or how I can fix this?

Download and install Perian from http://perian.org/
You should read this support page http://perian.org/#support in case you need to delete older codecs. In Macintosh HD/Library/Quicktime/ delete any files relating to DivX (Perian already has them). However it should be noted that Perian is not an internet plugin and will not play DivX files imbedded on a website. For that you will need the DivX Player browser plugin available from http://www.divx.com/divx/mac/

You can use the same appleid that you purchased the apps with on the phone for the App store. Settings> iTunes & App Store and continue to use the other id for everything else allowing you to have access to your previously purchased apps. You can then either sync or download the apps without paying for them again.
It can be quite handy having two appleids - it can be quite useful if you can manage them correctly. One id for the store and one for imessage is good for privacy if you have the same id in use on another device.

(This icon) in the upper right corner.
If you don't know the exact file name, you may have to redownload it so you can see it.
I would also try doing a reboot after you change your desktop background to what you want.

That's because apps are DRM protected & tied to the account used to originally obtain them. They cannot be transferred to another iTunes account. You can contact iTunes support, explain the situation, and request they add these apps to the download queue of your new account:

That is good. In that case, your one and only account has not changed, just the login credentials you use for it. All your previous purchases will remain associated with that account, and the new login.
In essence, an AppleID is an email, but it has two parts. One is the login email address and password everyone traditionally thinks of as an AppleID. But that in turn is linked to an account with Apple. As long as you use the manage Apple ID portal to just change the email address and/or password for your exisiting AppleID, then the internal account tracks along with those changes as well.
However, on your iOS devices, you will need to log out and then log back in with the new login credentials:
settings -> iTunes & App Stores - tap your AppleID, and choose log out. Then log back in with the new email address and new password.
