Changed back to older phone
i broke my new phone I purchased, I had $35 on my older phone which I would like to use now, what happened to the money I put on that phone. I put $45 dollars on the new one, but it is broke. I was wondering why I cant continue using my older phone I had before
Have you reactivated the old phone yet? Once you do the balance should remain on the account with the old phone active. Unless you have setup two different accounts then you would have to call Verizon.

I did a back up from my iPhone 4 on iTunes but I don't seem to be able to restore on my new 5cRestoring from an older iOS to a newer iOS version is fine. It's going the other way that would be a problem.
You do need a late version of iTunes on your computer to be able to work with the new iPhone. The current iTunes version is 11.1.3. If your iTunes is old, download the latest from

I have changed operator and also changed IOS and did a back up of my old phone in Itunes so i would keep all my contacts etc. Now when i want to get everything back in the phone, Itunes asks me for a password, which i do not have since i did not enter any password when i did the back up. Is there any way I can bypass this password request? Otherwise i have lost all my contacts etc.
Greatful for help.Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service like Gmail, iCloud, or an Exchange server.

How do I change bbm back to older version??
Hi there, I just updated my bbm version from 7 to 8. I do not like the new bbm and I'm wondering how do I change it back to the 7.0.1.2.3 version??

Please help!!! Thanks so muchI did a couple of things that gave me back bbm 7. although ALL is deemed unsafe to do by BLACKBERRYHELP people who wrote back to me via twitter.....
1. go to options/setting (the wrench icon); choose APPLICATION; choose add-on/core and look for the "BlackBerry Messenger" and click on the bblogo button, it should give you the option to DELETE. click on delete and reboot the device. you'll be prompted to install bbm upon restarting.
2. do a complete device "format" (reloading the OS) and in my case, I choose to update via bb built-in browser instead of appworld to get bbm 7. if I chose appworld, it would certainly put bbm 8.1 back on my device, an old 8530 that spits out at least 3 error messages hourly while running bbm 8.1.
3. a couple of my friend found some links that rages through the broadcast msg, the one that gives you an URL to just forcely install bbm7 upon bbm8. it works on their device (newer ones, started with 9)

I need to change the home folder name. I just bought this mac today and my cousin put his name in because he had to back up his phone while we were still at the store so he could get a new phone and now my brand new imac says his name in the home folder. This is very frustrating. I would not have let him put his name in there if I didn't think you could change it. Someone please help!

iOS 7.1 hosts a bunch of security fixes which you do need to keep your phone safe, and as has been said you cant go back anyway.

The only way someone could have changed it is if they knew your passcode to begin with, or guessed it.
Without a computer, or access to iCloud, there's nothing you can do to remove the passcode. You need a computer to force the phone into recovery mode & restore it, or access to iCloud.com to erase it. -
I changed my lock screen password on my phone and can't remember it what can I do to get back into my phone?

My txt message settings recently changed to send txts from my Mac email rather than my phone# and there doesn't seem to be a way to change the settings back. The phone# in receive at screen is under intensified so unselectable. Any suggestions?
After reading what you have posted, I checked my iPhone 4S. When looking at messages in settings, my receive at has 2 addresses, my phone number and my Apple ID email address. The phone number is "under intensified" as you describe it. Checking the Caller ID, it shows my phone number and Apple ID email. The phone number is checked. This all seems to be the same as you describe yours. My text messages are all working as they always have, and they are showing as coming from my phone number. Both to people that I iMessage with and people that I can only text with. I'm not sure why you say texts are being sent from your Mac email. Did someone receive a text that shows the email as the return address?

The iphone is designed to be synced to your computer or cloud service regularly. If she failed to do this, then they are likely gone.
