Changed computers -manage sites
Hi! I did my first website months ago, and changed computers
since. I think I should manage my site, and connect to my root
folder. Sorry such a jeuvinile question, or if me verbage is a

so the only place this site exists is on the remote server?
Define a new regular site.
Set the Local Site Folder to a new empty folder on your
computer.
Enter the remote server FTP information.
If the remote files are in a subfolder such as www or
public_html or htdocs
or similar, put that folder name into the "host directory"
line of the
remote info.
open the Files Panel of dreamweaver.
Connect to the remote site.
Select the remote files and GET them.

Dreamweaver CS4 - Existing Site Name Changed in Manage Sites
Please help me! I have an existing site name from Manage Sites become slightly different site name from original.
For example, existing site name was fashionstars, now become ftp://fashionstars, with ftp:// in it. ( It happen when I did some try and error approach to do certain task, or press the wrong buttons etc) Is there any possibility to change back to original name fashionstars and how to do it? Otherwise I won't be able to upload files to remote site because of different site name appeared in Manage Sites.
Should I remove the modified site name ftp://fashionstars and recreate a new site name fashionstars and copy all exiting files from local site folder to new fashionstars?

SSYYDDAdditional information, I use MacBook Pro to run Dreamweaver CS4. The existing site has 150 MB file size, hundreds of files, so to recreate new site name, it has to start to create all manually, will take a long time. Is there any other ways I can recreate site fashionstars without to start all over again?
I am very worry about this, it may not be able to fix it. My website is stuck, won't be able to upload files any more.
Another problem is that I lost the SITE DEFINITIONS for fashionstars or htp://fashionstars . When I go to Manage Sites to edit site of ftp://fashionstars, it goes to CONFIGURE SERVER, not the SITE DEFINITIONS for fashionstars or ftp://fashionstars. Please help me.
( note that I use the name fashionstars as an example only, not my real site name)

How on earth do I update my Apple ID to my new email address? I keep getting moved to 'change my password' sites, but I have a new email address and need to update my Apple. Frustrated!!
Firstly, if you have 'Find My iPhone/iPad/iMac' enabled on any of your devices, turn it off.
Create a new email address, for example at Yahoo or Gmail, or anywhere convenient (or you can use an existing address as long as it has never been associated with an Apple ID).
Go to http://appleid.apple.com and click 'Manage your Apple ID'. Sign in with the current ID.
Where it says 'Apple ID and primary email address' and gives your current ID email address, click 'edit'.
Enter your new address and click 'Save changes'.
Now you will need to go to each of your devices and sign out in System Preferences (or Settings)>iCloud - 'Sign out' on a Mac, 'Delete this account' on an iOS device (this will not delete the account from the server).
Then sign back in with your new ID. Your iCloud data will disappear from your devices when you sign out, but reappear when you sign back in.
I re-iterate: before you start, turn off 'Find My Mac' (or whatever) or you will need the services of Support. -
I some how changed my settings and my local files address is
now preceded by ftp:// . I use to be able to see files in expanded
form for both Local and Remote files. How do I change back to what
I had before? My site's home page is now all messed up since some
of the links have been changed.Since you use standard
http:// protocol, and since your online site can
be viewed properly, you are likely well-positioned for a full
recovery.
STEP ONE: If, as you have suggested, your local and remote
Dreamweaver folders appear identical, then everything that you have
online is likely also on your local hard disk. Just in case it is
not, you should back up your local folder before taking any further
action. Move it to a safe place and even change its name so as to
avoid confusion.
STEP TWO: After having backed up your local folder, delete
your site from your Manage Sites menu. This will destroy
Dreamweaver's record of your online site, so that you can start
over.
STEP THREE: Return to the Manage Sites Menu and click on New.
Make sure that you select Site and not FTP/RDS.
STEP FOUR: If you can understand the Advanced tab, use it to
create your new site. Otherwise, use the Basic tab and begin from
scratch. In either case download what is online back into your
computer, so as to be sure that everything on you computer is as it
appears online.
STEP FIVE: If there is anything missing in your newly created
local folder, then you can recover it by copying from the folder
that you backed up. Copy only content -- HTML, JPEG, and the like.
It is probably best not to copy anything created by Dreamweaver, as
you do not appear sufficiently familiar with the application to
know what could hurt or harm you.

After installing the reportservice/database i cannot use the Configuration Manager Console 2012 anymore with my own AD account. (The accounts of my colleagues are stil working)
When i login i get the following message:
The user account running the Configuration Manager console has insufficient permissions to read information from the Configuration Manager site database. The account must belong to a security role in Configuration Manager. The account must also have
the Windows Server Distributed Component Object Model (DCOM) Remote Activation permission for the computer running the Configuration Manager site server and the SMS Provider.
I checked the following:
I am a administrative user in SCCM (Full Administrator)
I am a member of the administrator group on the server
Deleted HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ConfigMgr10
I tried to start it on multiple workstations and deleted my roaming profile

My Default Website Folder & Manage Sites info Not Appearing
The pop up box on the right with the Files, Assets, and Snippets has somehow changed my default "AAA_WebSite" folder under the Files tab to show "Computer." I can still drill down to the correct folder, but since it's not set to the correct folder, all my "Manage Sites" info is missing as well.

If you're referring to what I think you're referring to, that's the Site Manager dropdown box where you can quick jump between sites in DW and select which site you want to work on.
Click the box (where it says Computer) and select "AAA_WebSite" from the dropdown menu.

We are working on solution manager 3.2--change request management , oracle 9.2.0.6 , windows 2000 server , sp level 10 for ST , 56 for Abap and basis .
We have few queries to polish the working of change manager - urgent correction -->
1. I also observe that in the cycle of urgent correction the process of importing and changing the status took a large amount of time (Around 10 mins)so please suggest , How can i minimize the time ?
2. How can we do the text mandatory while entring the reason for change ...etc entries in the change request . So that the processor should not ignore those fields.
3. Can we assign the multiple change managers for more then one approval .
4. More then one tester should be assign to the change document for multiple testing .
5. Can anybody refer the web link for creating change request.
7. We have support desk on client 010 and change request management on 099 which are working fine , how can we change the client of the support desk to 099 , so that both change req mgmt and support desk should be on the same client .how can we update all existing support messages on client 099 .
8. How can we put some default entries like requester , iBase , Sold to party in the change request - urgent correction .
Any kind of suggestion will be helpfull .

Manage Sites console not working
when i go to edit a site and i have a choice of selecting site, server, version control and advanced. I cant click on any of them and as i have changed my password with my host i need to change on ftp and it wont let me in help?
Let's start from scratch. Please restart your system and then fire up DW. Tell us which version of DW you are using.
Open DW's Site manager by using SITE > Manage Sites..., select a site and click on EDIT (or the pencil icon) to open the Site Setup panel for that site.

Lost all sites in manage sites
My computer just crashed and I lost all my sites in manage sites. Are they saved any where in TEMP files that I can just restore?

hello,
I am creating a new website for my work, I am new to flash
and I seem to have done something unexpected.
I created a flash document, uploaded to my server bin, all
went well. Until I noticed I wanted to change one of the words. So
I made the changes and tried to update the flash document.
I don't remember my exact steps but I found myself entering
my ftp info and whatnot in the manage sites function of flash,
thinking this would connect to my remote host and update the flash
document.
Now when I goto dreamweaver my files view is completely
different. My site's root folder is no longer viewable in the files
area. When I goto the manage sites the list is empty, no site
folder. What did I do? I can find the sites folder in my FINDER but
in dreamweaver I can't.Do you see this site's name in the list of sites?

Manage site with same IP but different port
My computer was updated from Windows XP to Windows 7 and I'm still using CS6. I can not manage two different sites with the same IP address but one has a different port number.
I have it set on Docuemnt Root but apparently it doesn't matter because I'm having the same issue if I change it to site root.
This is what I get to preview:

I have the same IP address with out a port to another location

Usually, when DW 8 start, it shows the default site files
hierarchy.
This morning it appears display the computers drives and
network mapping.
When clicking the menu > site > manage sites, it
appears empty, while usually had at least 5 definitions of sites.
Can any one say what happened and how to restore it?

Workflow when changing computers
I have changed computers from where I was working yesterday so everything I needed was copied onto a harddrive.
The sequence settings are exactly the same, I just had to reconnect all the clips. Now whenever I move anything or make amendments it renders. It's taking about 5minutes to render a 5 second clip. what can I do?Thanks for your replies. How does the media manager work?
I changed the RT settings to safe and it stopped asking me to render etc? But the Mac I'm using now is Mac OS X 10.6.7 and the project is in a sony code.
The problem I am still having is it is taking ages to export anything. The videos are only 4 minutes or so and are taking 30mins to export. It is also a green screen project and once exported, there is green showing up that isn't apparent in FCP? -
Creating a New Task in SOLMAN Change request Management

We are using SOLMAN 4.0 and scm functionality.In the change request screen we have a create follow up task(+ icon on top left).What is the use of this task,can we asign a task to some particular person?for example can i assign task to tester?If the task has not completed the task,while closing the correction will it give error?
