Changed email address with itunes...now i can't make a purchase using my ipad...old address is showing when i try to purchase an app and the old password does not work...what to do?

I'm trying to make purchases in itunes but once I type in my apple id and password it prompts me to answer two security questions. I don't recall ever setting this up and now I can't make purchases because I don't know the answers. Read article on rescue email address and id security questions and this was no help. Doesn't prompt me anywhere to set up the rescue email. HELP!!!

i had a ipad from some one and it was formated now i need to use this ipad but have to connect to with itunes . i did . then asked me a email address with a password. i put my appel ID but wasn't help cuz the ipad was created by other user name or email address . now what am supposed do? i try to get the owner of the ipad but he so far from me . plz help
If the iPad has Activation Lock - that is, it's asking for the previous owner's Apple ID and password to activate the device - then you will need that information, or you'll need to get the previous owner to remove the device from his/her iCloud account:

If you can't reach the previous owner or he/she is unwilling to cooperate, then the device is unusable by you. Return the iPad, for a refund if paid for it.

Purchased ringtone on iPhone then sync'd with iTunes now I can't use it!

I purchased a ringtone in iTunes on my iPhone which immediately showed up under ringtones in the settings menu. However, when I sync'd with iTunes on my Mac the ringtone has disappeared from the list of selectable ringtones on the iPhone. The ringtone is showing in iTunes under the Ringtones tab in Devices > iPhone and it shows that it will "sync all ringtones" but for some reason is not showing up on my iPhone as a selectable ringtone to use after sync.
Any ideas?
I am running Snow Leopard, iTunes 9, and iPhone 3GS with 3.0.1.
Thanks!Thanks Luke - I did that and it worked. The iphone is primarily linke to my laptop. I then linked to our shared itunes machine to download some music from our library, that worked fine. However when I link to my machine, I can see the ringtone in ringtone folder, in the purchased folder and in purchased on the iphone folder but I can't get it back onto the phone. I have tried Sync and Transfer purchases, drag and drop and finally tried the authorise again as a last resort but nothing seems to work. Has anyone got any ideas?

i created a new apple id but my phone still keeps previous details. it does not allow me to update my details. the message reflected was to contact itunes suport. i cant make any purchases now. please advice

If you can't remember your password then you can reset it via http://iforgot.apple.com
If you can't get it reset via that site then you will have to contact Support in your country, they should be able to reset it for you (they can also reset your security questions if you've forgotten their answers).

They say I have too many credit cards on file for my username- purchase cancelled. I use gift cards for gaming purchases (Visa,MC) so I have used a few, but its a gift card.
This is most likely a security precaution since they probably assume that someone using multiple credit cards over a short period of time may well have stolen them. Go here:

I changed my Apple ID a year ago when my old email address ceased. Now I can use my Apple ID ok, BUT when I tried to set up I-Cloud, my MacAir identifies me by the OLD ID, which means I can't proceed? I want to connect my MacAir and my Imac.
An addition, not a reply.
The problem is that my MacAir SYSTEM PREFERENCES somehow has NOT registered that I changed my Apple ID a year ago, ALTHOUGH I have been using the new one regularly on the same computer!!!
SO, when I go to SYSTEM PREFERENCES to try to sync my two devices, the MacAir will not allow me to use my current Apple ID.
The difficulties with using the old ID are:
1 The email address no longer exists!
2 I forget the password (obviously the prompt is no help since the email address is defunct! )
So, it seems I am in a perpetual loop. -

You need to do as provided. If no change after restoring as a new iPhone or not from the backup, the iPhone has a hardware problem.
