Changed /etc/redhat-release in 5.3 and 4.7

Does anyone know why Oracle left the RedHat strings in /etc/redhat-release in the newest rpms for 5.3 and 4.7?
ex: 5.3 - Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.3 (Tikanga)
ex: 4.7 - Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 7)
These are provided in enterprise-release-5.0.0.17.i386.rpm and enterprise-release-4.3.7.12.i386.rpm respectively as well as in the equivalent x86_64 rpms.
Is this a bug or a feature? These files used to contain the correct Enterprise Release string in them.

The correct, reliable way to determine the release information about the current system is to get that information from the RPM package that owns the <tt>/etc/*-release</tt> file, like this:
$ ls /etc/*-release
$ rpm -qf --qf="%{VERSION}\n" /etc/*-releaseUnfortunately, many third-party packages do string comparisons on the content of the <tt>/etc/*-release</tt> file of interest and refuse to install or operate if unexpected content is found.
Often, the <tt>redhat-release</tt> file would be edited to temporarily have the expected content and the third-party product would be happy, but this was just a needless hassle, so OEL5U3 started leaving the <tt>/etc/redhat-release</tt> file unchanged and the <tt>/etc/enterprise-release</tt> file added.

It has DVI ports. This means you are best to use an adapter that supports DVI. Note there is no audio that carries over DVI. What you need is a mini-Displayport to DVI adapter, and the proper DVI cable. Since Dell doesn't have the specs, you'll need to tell us if you have pins or holes, and how many are grouped.

Never sync a device to a computer's itunes that you do not normally sync to - that will sync their stuff and lose yours.
Try to go to settings>icloud and check which icloud account (if any) the device is connected to (it should not be the one you've been connecting to). If wrong, scroll to bottom of page a press the Delete Account button. Then log back into icloud using your ID. This should bring back your old contacts, calendars, etc. data. However, this will not bring back the apps and their data. If you have had icloud backup turned on in the past, try restoring from an old backup (before the incident with the friend's MBP).

You can do this. You can check the activation log of any table which you have to find for change history.
Just go to se11 and type the table name click on display and then go to utilities -> then activation log, it will show you all the changes made to table

Yes. Well, sort of: instead of a "path", set the pen tool to "shape" in the tool properties. Then set the fill colour to transparent, and the stroke colour to the colour you want. You can also set the stroke width.
Not perfect, but at least you can see the path more clearly - the anchor points and handles still remain the default colour. Open the path panel, and right-mouse click the path shape to create a selection based on that shape. The Paths panel menu also allows you to create work paths based on that shape.
Unfortunately when you try to move the handles the black thin outline appears again until you release the mouse button.
This is one of several things that works better in Photoline: in Photoline, once the path is set to a specific colour, editing the path uses the actual colour and stroke width. which is extremely handy for creating path based selection with awkward background colours and/or a high resolution screen. In Photoline the handles and bezier points are also much, much larger, which makes it rather simpler to work with as well - especially on a higher resolution screen. And when selected the handles and points are a clear red with a black outline - again easier to spot and identify. I just works better, in my opinion.

I've had the 2nd generation Apple TV since this past October when it was released and it has worked fine until I recently changed my Apple User Name (email address). After changing my user name my Apple TV and iPhone 4 no longer find my shared network. Home sharing is enabled on all devices, including my Sony Vaio Laptop, iPhone4, and Apple TV 2nd generation. Everything else has remained constant, including service provider, router, modem, and internet security (Trend Micro). Also, my library is on a networked hard drive, which didnt seem to make a difference before, but I figured I'd mention it. Any thoughts?

Thank you for the information. He confirmed that the ID and password are the same on every device. This only started happending when he changed his User Name with Apple.

Need to add a new release of the segment and maintain that version

I want to add one field in the Z segment type using WE31.But i am getting the error message as
'Current segment definition <segment name> can no longer be changed and The current segment definition
is already released.You can either add a new segment definition or cancel the release of the current segment definition'.
The current segment defenition which i am trying to change got the SAP release of 4.6C. But the system has upgraded to Ecc6 recently.
I tried going to the edit menu and cancel the release, but still it is not allowing.
Whats the impact of the Add button(Add version) and creating a new version?.will it create a new version for ECC6?.

Here i have a requirement to change the existing Release strategy for Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Order and Service Entry sheet. Already There are unreleased Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders in Production system with the existing Release strategy.
1. My Query is Before making change in Existing release strategy, should I need to release all PR and PO with unreleased status.
2. In PO scenario is like this, we have 4 purchacing groups and 4 document types(ZLOC,ZIMP,ZSER,NB) in release strategy, we need to add one more purchasing group that is to be aplicable to my service PO(ZSER) only . so should I need to creat another stretegy for the same, or I can add in the same strategy

Sol: No Only thing you have to do is that go to your class 32 and chek what is the charaterstic define for the purchasing group copy it
2 Now go to Tr.code: CT04, give that charaterstic and go to change mode and give the additional Purchasing group there, and save it
3 Now go to Release strategy where you want to add that Purchasing group, go to classification tab and tik that new purchase group , that group will now in fact of release Strategy

This is a little confusing since you say you have forgotten your password and then the system says you have not entered a password. Even with an Admin account you must have a password to install software.
If you are using Mac OS X 10.7 or above, you can change the admin password by restarting holding the Command and R keys, from the menu bar select Utilities, then Terminal. When the Terminal window opens, at the cursor type exactly:
resetpassword
and press Enter. When the Reset Password window opens, select the internal hard drive, and then the user account. Type a new password twice, leave the Hint blank, and then Save. Accept the next dialog that opens, and at the bottom of the Reset Password window agree to resetting the home directory permissions.
Quit the Reset Password window, go to the apple left side of the menu bar, Restart.
And you have a new password for your account.

Thanks for the response!
I started pointing to SDKs back when ANE support first came out and it was required to point to the OS5.1 sdk in order to get ANEs to work.
I had been specifying the sdk ever since, since it had been working for me, even though it was no longer needed.
I just tried removing that and letting AIR take care of using the right SDK and it seems to have solved my screen rotation issue!

I do have a lot of splash screens. Again I think this was left over from when I started using AIR back in 2011. At that point in order to get the splash screens working correctly I ended up having to add all the different versions. However, I'd love to get rid of most of them as they bloat my app size. I'll try removing most of them and do some testing to ensure everything works fine now without them. Although I suspect I should still also need the Default@2x~ipad.png

How to get informed when PO / Contract changed to ordered / released status

Hi,
I am working on a program which sends SRM PO and Contract data to a non-SAP system, one of the requirements is to send SRM data immediately after PO / Contract's status changed to Ordered / Released ( workflow is used here ).
I tried to used BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI, but noticed throuhg debugger that the last time this BADI get called, I still didn't see Ordered / Released status in the Status table.
Is any way to know status change for PO / Contract ?

Solution 1:
You can use the SRM Alert Mangament to know when a contract was released, specifically the following events RELEASED_AGAIN
RELEASED_NEWLY.
Check IMG Cross-Application Basic Settings-> Event and Event Schema for Alert Management
For PO I could not find a similar event, but there is a APPROVAL_PROCESS_DOC_APPROVED event which can be used if the PO was approved after ordering.
In any case you can create your own events and event handlers using the SRM Alert Management BAdi BBP_ALERTING.
Solution 2: Only for Contracts
You can use the existing Distribution mechanism to distribute contracts to Non-SAP systems.
Distribution of contracts is triggered whenever significant changes are done to the Contract (like Release, Lock, Unlock).
Implement function module NOR3_CTR_TRANSFER for this purpose.

I could not find the way to change this field through BAPI BAPI_PO_CHANGE.

It seems ME_REL_STRATEGIE_EKKO is used for creating a new PO.
I want to change the PO release group for a specific PO only.
And the BAPI BAPI_PO_RELEASE seems to change the Release Code, not Release Group!!!

Release Invoice Price Block and Quantity Block

How can I release the Invoice Price and Quantity block at the same time? I need to create a Step in a work flow to release all blocks of a two-way match block invoice.
I've already tried to have a BDC for transaction MRBR but it is not working.

This type of behaviour is documented in SAP note 394370:
"A document generated with MIRO was blocked for payment.You cancel the
payment block from the vendor line item in the FI follow-up
document.Transaction MRBR then displays the invoice document
nevertheless. Why?
The invoice document itself cannot be changed by changes to the
follow-up documents; this is not programmed.Transaction MRBR therefore
continues to display the document as blocked. If this document is
released from an MM point of view, the FI follow-up document remains
released.Thus the damage caused is restricted to unnecessary work by the
user.
SAP recommends that you only use the release transactions for releasing
invoices."
MRBR generates its list of blocked invoices from table RBKP_BLOCKED and is the
only transaction which deletes entries from this table thats why when your report
calls FB02 to remove the payent block MRBR will still show the invoice as blocked.
You could code in a pop up message in your report that prevents the user from
deleting the payment block and to advise using MRBR instead to delete the block.
