Changed from windows 8 to 7 on a g7 2269

I succedded in installing windows seven onto my HP g7 2269 notebook. The only drivers available on the HP drivers download page are for Windows 8 and 8.1. Can you tell me where I can find Windows 7 drivers that work on the HP g72269.

Also: Can you tell me in what order to install them.

Assuming you mean you have a HP Pavilion g7-2269wm Notebook Computer, most of the Windows 7 drivers on the HP Pavilion g7z-2100 CTO Notebook PC Drivers page should work. You can also try the following chipset manufacturer drivers;
AMD Chipset Drivers (Chipset / AHCI / USB 3.0)
AMD Graphics Driver
There is really no specific order to follow when installing drivers, other than installing the "Chipset" driver first.
If you still have missing or unknown devices after installing the drivers, please post the Windows Device Manager's "Hardware Ids" for those devices as shown in the example below;

Thanks for the prompt reply. The interesting thing is that my Macbook Pro was upgraded today to Yosemite and I still have the spinning wheel on the start up screen before the login page comes up.

If Layers is greyed out it possibly means that you are in Quick Mode. Select 'Expert' and all the options should become available.
Try permanently associating psd files with C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 12\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe and see if that fixes the issue. Instructions here - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-8/choose-programs-windows-uses-default.

Is my Adobe CC for photographers license still valid if I change from Windows 32 bit to 64 bit?

I've bought a license for Adobe CC for photographers (costs 10$ a month), and now going to upgrading my operating system from Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit. I know that there is a 64 bit version for Photoshop, don't know about Bridge. So, is my license still valid if I upgrade, or do I have to buy a new CC program for photographers for the 64 bit version of Photoshop??

Good to know information :
You can install and activate Creative Cloud subscription Apps on 2 computers. (Either on Mac or Windows as per your choice) .
Either it may be 32 bit or 64 bit , it does not matters, the subscription will be counted based of number of activation done as per Machine ID's.
Before , you upgrade the computer to 64 bit, better to Sign out from Creative Cloud desktop application.
If the Machine ID changes just in case , it will be counted as 2'nd activation.
Sign in, Sign out | Creative Cloud desktop app
Even though, if you had exceeded Maximum activation limit(Already activated on 2 computers) , still you can reset the activation count to Zero, so that you can again activate CC subscription on any of 2 computers as per your choice.

To set the default boot volume use the Startup Manager system preferences once you are booted back into the OSX. Then you would only need the option key at boot time to boot into the "other" OS.

According to your description,you cannot see the update in your store.
If you’ve opened the Store and you don’t see the update, it could be for one of these reasons:
1.You might need the latest updates from Windows update.
2.Windows Store might not be showing the latest content.

They only have a POP email account with their ISP, how can SLS Mail collect POP email from an their ISP?

I don't think there is a built-in solution in MacOS X for this/

No total recall after change from Windows Logic Platinum 5.5.1 to Intel Mac

Hi Logic-users,
up to now I was using Logic 5.5.1 on a Windows-PC. Some days ago I changed over to Intel Mac and Logic 7.2.3. When opening a 5.5.1-Song it is converted from ASIO to Core Audio. But then I got a problem with spectrasonics Stylus RMX which I use as a drum-plugin. It was a VST-plugin in Logic 5.5.1 and is now the new Intel-nac-Version (audio-unit-plugin) in Logic 7.2.3. The MIDI-data is in the Logic-tracks but the problem is: the program doesn't use the new Stylus version automatically - there is only the outcrossed name "Stylus" in the Logic-channel. I have to activate it by hand - and then all the drum-channels within Stylus are empty. That means: I have to re-edit all the Stylus-drumsounds and -settings by hand.
What can I do to get real total recall? Or is simply not possible because I had too much change altogether (new OSX-platform / new Logic-version / new plugin-version)?

I'm pretty sure you're out of luck on this one, I'm afraid. The differences are to much to be able to translate from one to the other.
We all went through it when we switched from Mac OS9 to OSX. Then we all had to go through it again when Logic went to Audio Units.
If it was a matter of VST in OSX, you could probably open it up in Logic with Fxpansions VST to AU wrapper, but I don't think you'll bee able to get it from the PC VST version to the Mac OSX VST version.
You'll have to try and recreate the RMX settings by hand. Tedious, I know, especially if you had done a lot of editing.
Another option would be to open the song on your PC, and bounce the various RMX parts to audio files, and re-import those into Logic 7. I know that's not the same, but if you were done with the programming aspect of that song, it could at least get you the sounds back.
If anyone has information to the contrary, I'd love to hear about it. But this is how I understand it to be...

I have HP Pavilion Dv6-6196ex with Windows 7 64 bit as original OS. I change my hard drive to 256 mb SSD and installed new OS windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit. Is there any suitable software coming from HP that is compatible to my new OS and can i get a recovery manager from HP and installed it on my new OS?

Sorry, but HP is only supporting and providing drivers for Windows 7 for this model on the HP Pavilion dv6-6196ex Entertainment Notebook PC Drivers page. The only purpose of the HP Recovery Manager is to return the computer to its original factory state. Becasue your computer shipped with Windows 7, the HP Recovery Manager would only restore Windows 7 and not the currently installed OS.
Please see HP Forun thread entitled "8.1 recovery discs" for more information on this subject. My suggestion is to use Windows "System Image Backup" utility to create an exact image of the Windows 8.1 partition as it currently is, on an external hard drive. If your computer developes issues or you need to replace the hard drive, all you have to do is "restore" the image to the computer. Please see Windows 8.1 Tip: Use System Image Backup for instructions on creating and restoring a "Windows - System Image Backup."

The message I have on my iMac states ‘Activation Limit reached for Adobe Photoshop Elements 9’.
'This serial number has already been activated on two computers;-
(Please note this is one of two serial numbers on the original package (which included Premiere Elements 9) which included 2 disks each for Windows and Mac OS. All I have tried to do is download the 2 Mac OS disks. The other Windows disks are on my old Windows machine and I tried to uninstall the program, but this made no difference. The other serial is *******.

PreferenceChangeListner does not getnotified if changed from Window regedit

I have registered a registry entry of Windows as a Preference Object.I have PreferenceChanegListeners added to this node.The problem is:
This listner is not getting notified if i change the value of the registry entry from regedit of Windows.However it does get notified if i change the value of the registry entry from java code within.
Any idea how can i listen to change of the registry entry ??

The API says this:
Events are only guaranteed for changes made within the same JVM as the registered listener, though some implementations may generate events for changes made outside this JVM. Events may be generated before the changes have become permanent. Events are not generated when indirect descendants of this node are added or removed; a caller desiring such events must register with each descendant.So not getting a change event for changes made by regedit is ok, according to the spec.
Remember that the Preferences API is not a API explicitely designed to access the Windows Registry (which can easily be seen by the facts that it 1.) works on non-Windows systems as well and 2.) provides access only to a very limited subset of the registry).
So if you need general Registry Access support of some kind, you'll have to search for other APIs.

If you want to upgrade from CS5 Win to CS5.5 or CS6 MAC, you can do that. Its called Cross Platform Upgrade.
But as Bob mentioned, you need to contact adobe for that. It cannot be done online from adobe website.
