Changed hosting company and blog no longer allows comments to be left

Since Mobile Me will no longer be hosting websites I have jumped the gun and purchased hosting from domain.com. Now the blog area i had that was able to leave comments no longer allows comments. Is there a way to fix this

Blog comments were a MobileMe only feature so there is no way to fix it in iWeb when you then publish your site via ftp - you can't get the blog comments full stop.
What you can do though is use a comments system like http://www.intensedebate.com which is free. Incorporate this where you want your comments to appear.
Either this or you change your blog to WordPress or http://www.posterous.com and create a link from your site to your new blog.
These are your only options really.

Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if you can then update the app.
If you do delete the app then you should be able to re-download your ibook purchases via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the app. But in case some of them are no longer available in the store and/or you have PDFs or epubs in it, then you could first connect it to your computer's iTunes and do File > Transfer Purchases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases on iTunes 11) which should copy them over to the Books part of your iTunes library so that you have your own copy of them and can sync them back (even though they aren't iTunes purchases it should also copy over any PDFs or epubs that you have in the iBooks app)

Thanks for your attention for my humble problem.
I have performed Meeting Place Express configuration through the “net” command.
But now unfortunately I can't connect to meeting place through web browser. I just get blank page.
Though I can reach the server with help of ssh. I think my DNS works properly because I can resolve the ip address of cumpxvoice .uclab.com and cumpxweb. uclab.com with help of dig command.
Have you any idea?

Set Forwarder mail between hosting company and MS online exchange

This is Dharam from Ahmedabad, I can be contacted on 9638208855 ([email protected]).
I wants to use ms online exchange for some of users in my company. I have 10 users having mail ids with hosting company and 2 users are having exchange plan with other company by forwarding mails to particular link on 123together.com
Yesterday, i have signup for free 365 account for 1 month, as i am expected to buy only mail exchange plan for 5 users but after getting my requirements.
I have set the forwarder to mail id i am able to receive through the [email protected] on all application of mail such as on desktop, mobile, owa etc... but while i am replying to those users its using id [email protected]
which can be used by [email protected] which my domain and forwarded to online exchange services.
As my boss is having exchange plan with 123together.com i have observed that they are using forwarder and same thing but receiving and sending mail from [email protected] on all the application of mail, they didn't even asked for domain setup.
So i want to clear some my confusion before to proceed for the paid services, that can i able to serve this service for some users and some can be able to use the existing one without exchange on the hosting company by forwarding some users to online exchange.

My concern is i don't want to transfer my whole domain to MS Online Exchange just wants to create Account and wants to set forwarder to my [email protected] from MS to etc... and from hosting company i have to set forwarder for [email protected]
to usera@.... whatever the id has been created.
So is it possible to do this because while setting up an account users its asking for DNS MX Record and TXT, which is for the whole domain users and i don't wants to do than.
So Please guide me before i can go somewhere else.

Blog does not allow comments

Blog used to allow comments. This feature is now missing. Is it unavailable or is it a setting that I need to change with my domain server?

As you now know iWeb and iDVD have been discontinued by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD.
On June 30, 2012 MobileMe will be shutdown. HOWEVER, iWeb will still continue to work but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:
◼ Password protection
◼ Blog and photo comments
◼ Blog search
◼ Hit counter
◼ MobileMe Gallery
Currently if the site is published directly from iWeb to the 3rd party server the RSS feed and slideshow subscription features will work. However, if the site is first published to a folder on the hard drive and then uploaded to the sever with a 3rd party FTP client those two features will be broken.
All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. NOTE: the iLife 11 boxed version Is no longer available at the online Apple Store. To get a copy you'll have to try Amazon.com or eBay.com.

Since Mobile Me is going away, I moved my iWeb pages to iPage. I started a blog but it won't allow readers to leave comments. Help says this feature is only available when hosted on MobileMe but MobileMe is going away! Does anyone know a way to enable reader comments to an iWeb created blog hosted on iPage?

The easiest way to correct your color problem is to upload the Disqus code as an HTML doc and display it in an iframe on your page. This way you can keep the black iWeb page and have the comments with a white background.
Open a text editor and paste your code. Export as HTML giving it a name like - comments.html
Upload this to the root folder on your server in a folder named - Disqus
The URL for the iframe code will be...
http://www.domain-name.com/Disqus/comments.html
This is the code for the HTML Snippet and you can change the height and width to suit your layout...

Note that you need to add an identifier to each file if you want to use several - one for each blog entry.

The alternative is to style your own page if you want your comments section to have a black background. Changing hosts, artwork and podcast description.

I currently have a podcast on iTunes that was until recently hosted using Audio Acrobat. I've discontinued that podcast and will be starting a new podcast using Blog Talk Radio (BTR) as my new host.
The new podcast on BTR will be different in brand and scope than the old/existing podcast. What I want to do is change the artwork, description, delete the old shows (that seems easy enough) and yet keep the existing iTunes feed.
Is it as easy as entering the existing iTunes feed that I have into the spot where BTR asks for it, or do I need to submit a new RSS URL to iTunes and start over with a new feed. The BTR people were not able to help on this.
Also, just how does a person update the podcast info if they're not going to this extreme? Does it automatically update if you change it on the host page at BTR, or wherever one might host?

iTunes takes all the information from the feed. If you keep the feed at the same URL, change the title and all the episodes, then after a day or two the changes will be reflected in the Store (just as episodes can be added and others removed without having to resubmit, you just change the feed).
If you wanted to move the feed to a different server while keeping the podcast the same, there is a definite procedure for this:

Note that this entails leaving the old feed in place until the change has been registered.
If you want to change the name and scope of the podcast, and change the feed URL, then frankly you will find it easier to start over from scratch and submit the new feed as a new Podcast.

Change Host Name and IP Address on machine running WLS 9.2

I am new to this community, so please forgive any unintended missteps.
I have an installation of BEA WebLogic Server 9.2 running on Windows 2003 Server SP2. This installation is running on a virtual server, which was created using some VMware product that copies or clones production environments. The purpose of this new, cloned environment is to act as a development environment. This new DEV server has a different host name and IP address from the source PROD server.
WLS is not starting up properly. It complains about the license.bea file not being valid. To try to fix that, I manually changed the IP address listed within that file, from that of the original system to that of the current system, but that did not change the error message I get during startup.
I imagine that this instance of WLS needs to be re-licensed to account for the change in IP address. Besides that, are there any other configuration parameters in text files, registry settings, etc., that need to be modified in order to allow the new instance of WLS to work the same as the old instance?
Please note that we want both DEV and PROD to run simultaneously, so we need to take steps to ensure they (and the applications running on WLS) don't talk to each other.
I tried to search the BEA sites and found a few resources, but related to some other products (ALES?), not WLS.
Thoughts, suggestions, feedback, or pointers to documentation would be greatly appreciated.

Hi JPG,
The BEA license files are tied to IP address. Editing the license.bea to change the IP address file will not work.
Any reason why you cannot use a 5 user dev license for your environment?
If you break the 5 user limit then use IIS or Apache to front-end the the WLS instance.

If you are talking about the Youtube videos, I am having no problems at all. Have you tried clearing Safari?
Settings>Safari>Clear History and Website Data. I would close Safari and reset the iPad as well. No data will be lost when you do this.
In order to close Safari, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to Safari then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Run preclone, change the hostname at the OS level and in the hosts file then run postclone.

IPad mini safari search bar changed to grey and can no longer clear history

What has happened? The panel in safari where you type in web addresses use to be white with black type now it's all grey with white type. It's awful. Also I used to be able to clear history but can no longer do this. Need this option as looking for Christmas presents and don't want kids to see.
Will be so grateful if anyone can get my ipad back how it was.

Are you referring to the new colors of iOS 7? If that's the case then there is no way to change it.
To clear your History:
1 Tap the Bookmark icon (the one next to the cloud and + icons.
2 Tap Bookmarks > Select History
3 Hit Clear (Notice the Clear icon at the bottom).

Help! Firewall setting changed to default and can no longer connect

So I was attempting to open up port 8080 outbound and made a number of changes. The issue was still present so I clicked the reset to default for the firewall settings and am now stuck with a box I cannot connect to (Windows Server 2012).
Please can someone shed some light on a solution for me as I don't want to go through the pain of reinstalling everything again.
