Changed my email account to my new account now all of my old purchases are gone
Changed apple id from my original yahoo account to my new gmail now all of the songs I purchased with the yahoo email account are gone in itunes. Also the artwork on every one of my purchased songs from the yahoo account is gone, but the songs remain on both my ipad and ipod.
Tried to redownload everything, but itunes says that I have already downloaded all of my purchases. Thing is that I can't see any of the old songs to delete and redownload. This has also translated to all of my app purchases too. Help...
go into settings>app store
and re-sign in

Your contacts are helpd on the server, so if you sign out from your iCloud account and sign into another one they will disappear. If you sign back into the original account they will reappear.

HT4906 I just upgraded to the new iPhoto and all of my old pictures are missing.
As the title says. If I right click the library and open 'Packages', all of my old photos are in a folder called 'Originals' but do not appear when I open iPhoto. When I try to add them into iPhoto, I get an error telling me that they already exist. Can anyone help me figure out how to get them to appear in iPhoto?

-BraxtonBefore disassembling your library apply the two fixes below in order as needed to your library:
Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - run Option #4 to rebuild the database.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

I have been receiving messages from this sender fine and then all of a sudden for some reason there was a do not enter sign beside her name. I didn't know how or why it got there, some button got bumped or the mouse, and I didn't know how to take it off so I just left it. Since then, thunderbird has been reopened and all messages that I had received have disappeared and no new messages from this sender appear even though I know she has sent them to me. I have checked into filters and I have none set so it is not that. I can't figure out how the do not enter sign got beside the contact, but I'm sure it's the reason for my problems and I don't know how to fix it. Thanks

how do i change the email address for my icloud account on my 4s. when i sign in on line it is my new email address so i thought it would change automatically but obviously not!
Settings>iCloud...scroll down...delete account. Then setup iCloud with your new ID.
You can't change the Apple ID for your iCloud account, you have to delete it. -
My original apple id is not an email address .
I bought iCloud memory via that same account no problem.
When setting up iCloud on iPad you cannot have a primary iCloud account unless it has an email address .
Made new account as per instruction ie [email protected] works fine
BUT as I want to utilise the money spent on the additional memory it would be great to use the initial account set up as my primary HOWEVER as far as I have tried the initial apple ID CANNOT be changed. I created an Apple ID for iTunes using a work email address and left that company before I had an opportunity to change the email and password for that same account. Now I can't seem to login to that account and I can't choose the option for forgot password because it will send email to the old workplace. If you remeber the password to that Apple ID then follow these steps
1 - Make sure you have an email address that is NOT an Apple ID
2 - Go to AppleID.Apple.com
3 - Where it reads Manage Apple ID - Sign in
Once you are signed in want to make sure the email address you are wanting to use is NOT set up as a "Recovery/Rescue" email for this account.
[To check this - Main page where you see Primary ID - below do you see the email address you want to use listed towards the bottom? Yes - Delete / No - Good ./. If made any adjustments "Save" Next on the left select "Password & Security" - Answer your security questions you set up "if you have any" then scroll towards the bottom and check to see if you see the email address you want to use. Yes - Delete / No - Good] <-> Also you can change your password on this page as well. Any adjustments made "Save"
Once this is done go back to the main page where you should read "Primary ID" and change the email address that is showing to the new email address youo want. "Save" Done

I changed my email address for my apple id but icloud still has old email adress and when I try to signout so I can sign in with new address it asks for password and then says invalid so I cannot delete the account to sign in with the new one! Please help
OK...now I appear to 'progressed' I changed my email address back to original on Apple id and then was able to delete icloud account. Apparently I couldnt do it as it kept requesting password when I entered passsword ( both old and new one, it wouldnt accept it as it had my old email address in ) It didnt do that on ios6 . Anyway I deleted account, but now I tried to login in with my new id/password and it says unable as already in use!!! More help needed please! Its a nightmare!!

Version 24.4.0 worked fine until yesterday (2014-04-06) running under windows 8.1 and suddenly it could no longer connetc to internet (sending/receiving email, updating, creating a new account,..). No change was done on my accounts configuration. Other applications connect correctly to internet. Some Windows 8.1 updates were automaticaly applied during the same period (??).

As I explained nothing changed between the moment Thunderbird worked and the moment it stopped working. I checked the firewall (Norton intenet security) and the firewall of my router (Netgear). Nothing relates to Thunderbird.
I cans get my mail from another workqtation (ubuntu/evolution) with the same provider (same parameters). I just wonder if the last windows 8.1 updates could provoke this trouble...

Log in and click on your user name, then look at the upper the right side of the page.
Click on the triangle to the left of the "More Resources" section.
This will drop down, and give you options.
Select User Settings.
This will now open a page, and in the light blue type on top, follow it along to Contact Information, click on that, and change your e-mail address to what you want, and hit the blue submit button on the bottom right side of the page.

Turned on computer email said I needed new account when I have been using for years (no mail, drafts, sent). I filled oyt new mail setup and it only found my mail not drafts and sent ... I use drafts to store documents and sent in a leser capacity - Ihave huge data in drafts. Tried to restore using time machine (never had to before). The backups are there but the restore button does not highlight??? So when you clickit nothing happens.
Restoring Mail is complex. Luckily, the late James Pond left us an illustrated guide:

The email address I am using at the moment will not be available much longer so I want to change the address on my itunes account (I can see how to do that) and also on my icloud account. How do I change the email address on my icloud account?
If your AppleID is a .Mac or .Me account then you can't change it. But it shouldn't go away.
If it is something else you can. Just log in here (https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/) and manage your AppleID. Click edit next to the ID and you should be able to simply change it.
