Changed password, can't access account

Okay, so earlier today 2/23/12, I decided to change my password because my friend was always using my Skype account. I go ahead and then I quit Skype. I came back from the mall and decided to log on to Skype. I type in the password I chose earlier, and I see a message that reads "Your Skype Name and password were not recognized. Please check and try again." I go ahead and try 8 different password combinations such as a typo, different numbers, and even different passwords I might have typed in. They all don't work. I click on the forgotten password link and it wants me to type in my email address I used for my Skype. Unfortunately I don't remember my email I used or the password I used to get into it. I entered my credit card information as another attempt to access my account and that isn't right either. I have a 3 month subscription that I have on my account and I need it to be stopped before it charges onto my account in April.

    settings - app/iTunes store - sign out and sign back in with your new id.
    Note - if your older apps needs an update it will use your old apple id and password, as Apps are tied to the apple id that was used to purchase it.
    You can't merge apple id.

    There is nothing that you can do to get rid of the balance on your own. Contact iTunes Store Support and seek their assistance. I believe that they can reset your balance for you.

    If you have 2-step verification set up for your gmail account, you will need to generate an application-specific password for your iphone applications (because those apps apparently don't support 2-step verification).
    Go into your google account, look in accounts/security/2-step verification, there is a link called "Manage your application specific passwords"   Use that to generate a special password for your iphone apps and use that instead of your usual gmail password on your phone.

    My Iphone 4 is telling me the same thing and I believe I figured out what the problem is.  I had some fraudulent charges on my itunes account, so I call my bank and disputed the charges.  Right after I did that, I started getting the message "Your apple ID has been disabled."  I just realized today that the charges are not fraudulent, they are "in app purchases."  One of my daughters downloaded the game Top Girl which is FREE, but in the game Top Girl you use money in the game to purchase things.  It just so happens that the money you use to purchase things is real money MY Money!!!.  My daughter thought she was using play money in the game and had no idea she was using real money.  She spent $106.00 buying stuff.  Now I have to call the bank and tell them to release the hold and pay Itunes.  I'm hoping this solves the problem.  Here is the link to learn how to disable "in app purchase" on your iphone or ipad.

    I have three devices from which I use the same iTunes and ICloud account. I changed my username and password on the accounts yesterday. Now I am only able to get it to work on my IPhone 5S. My daughter's IPhone 4 and my IPad will not accept the new passwords. I can't access FaceTime or IMessage on those devices as it keeps prompting me that it is incorrect and to reset. If I reset, it won't work on my IPhone 5S. Help!

    Welcome to the Apple community.
    If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID and that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
    This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
    However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details and some other circumstances.
    The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device. It may take a short while to remove the account.
    You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

    If you've forgotten your Windows password and you're on a domain, you should contact your system administrator to reset your password. If you're not on a domain, you can reset your password by using a password reset disk or by using an administrator account. If you forget the administrator password and don't have a password reset disk or another administrator account, you won't be able to reset the password.     I own a Macbook Pro (13") which I bought from Ebay a few months ago. I recently changed my password to my administrator account, but I cannot remember it. I know of several bypasses to this, but as I attempt each one, they all seem blocked by a firmware password. I have tried contacting the original owner, but he does not remember what he set that as. I'm locked out of all boot options and my administrator account, I'm typing this now from the guest account which I enabled a while ago. Solutions?

    If your MacBook is one of the following models there is no way to circumvent a firmware password, outside of a trip to the Apple Store:
    MacBook Air (Late 2010) and later, MacBook Pro (Early 2011) and later, iMac (Mid 2011) and later, Mac mini (Mid 2011): Recovering a lost firmware password
    Resolution
    Only Apple retail stores or Apple Authorized Service Providers can unlock these computers protected by a firmware password.

    Go to E-mail Settings icon on your home screen. Login using the user name and password (if password used during initial setup).  Go to Email Accounts under services and hit the Edit button under the email ID that you want to edit. In the password field erase the filed and put in your new password.

    I receive my bill alerts via email and don't have record of my Fios account number. My security question was set relating to my spouse (of which I have none) and now I can't access my account to pay bills. I'm using the same computer to pay my Verizon bill that I've been using for two years so I don't know why a security question was required (says it's because my computer isn't registered).     I've been having the same problem since Tuesday. I log in to my account to watch Verizon online DAILY and all of a sudden it says that I'm locked out of my account. My security question is about a spouse, which I don't have one (and never had). I was just on the phone with customer service for 20 minutes and they said without the answer to the question they can't validate my account. I have a home phone (that's not connected) so I have that number but can't check the messages since an actual phone doesn't exist. Customer Service said my username didn't trigger anything and neither did my cell number which should be my contact number. I also don't have access to my account number because I do paperless. It's been very frustrating and at the end of the call they told me there was nothing they can do. Luckily I do automatic payment so I don't have to worry about being late on my bill but being permanently locked out of my account is frustrating.

    My laptop with Creative Cloud CS6 installed was stolen in a burglary at our house. Fortunately I didn't lose much as I had recently done a clean install (to install CS6!)
    I have changed my password on all my accounts, including Creative Cloud. Does this mean that
    1) The apps installed will not longer work as they cannot get a license
    2) When I get a replacement laptop I will be able to activate Creative Cloud on that laptop
    I am concerned because, while my insurance is replacing hardware, it doesn't cover software.

  • My 'save image as" settings have suddenly changed. where can i access them to change them back?

    It used to be when I'd "save image as..." I could choose a folder and be given its contents in list form before saving. helped a lot in not duplicating names. Now when I save an image my save menu has suddenly changed to a completely horizontal format bar in whicj I choose one folder on the tree at a time and it gives me no choice as to format in which to save nor visual on the folders existing contents. How can I access settings for saving images?

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

    *Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
    If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.
