Changed setting per suggestions, updated, unplugged then replugged and still NADA, no sound!  Argh, so frustrating.

I've tried all of the setting changes noted in others help questions regarding the no sound issue with Apple TV but still no sound.  Am I missing something?  And considering this is an apple product I don't think I should by adapters for my TV to translate or whatever the HDMI issues.  It's called Apple TV, TV is the keyword, should work with my TV as is.  I can understand downloading updates, but at this point it's frustrating that it's updated, I've made all setting changes, unplugged it, replugged it, restarted and it's not the first time this is like the fourth time in the last few weeks, it's ridiculous.  I seriously regret buying this, I thought it would be as user friendly as my iPhone and Mac, now I just want to smash it.  Any other suggestions, as you can read I am frustrated at this point. 

Your computer does have an integrated sound card. This means that the sound card is integrated with the motherboard. If you had contacted tech support then you might have tried all the basic steps.
Run the "Hardware diagonistic test" for Sound and check if it reports any error. By looking at your description it looks like the sound card has gone bad and to resolve this you need to get the motherboard replaced within the warranty period. The other option will be to install a PCI Express 1x sound card and its drivers. This card will be available in any computer near by.
After installing the card you need to boot the computer to BIOS(tapping F10 key during startup) and go to Advanced and disable the on-board audio. Installing sound card should be tried only if you dont want to send the computer for service to replace the motherboard.

    It's a credit card, not a debit card ? As far as I know that message will show if you are trying to use a card that was not issued by a bank in the same country as where your iTunes account is based (and you need to be in that country).     Rebooting will not make you lose any content. Rebooting is when you hold the home button and the sleep button down at the same time until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
    You can these suggestions. One might work for you.
    Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
    If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
    Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
    Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.

    Open the folder containing your Lightroom catalog. Locate a folder with the extension .lrdata and delete that folder. Do not delete anything else. Then restart Lightroom. It will start building a new previews folder.

    1) Start at project dashboard.
    2) Click "User Settings" button.
    3) Look at "Processing Mode" option.  It has two values in the drop down:  Display and Change.
    We are of the understanding that if we make the setting for this field "Display" then whenever we enter a project or task we will be in display mode and not able to edit until we click the "Display/Change" toggle button that displays when we are looking at a project element.
    Our team is wondering if we could make this setting such that a user is always in display mode when they enter a project from the project dashboard.  In addition to this, we always want a user to be in change mode if they enter a task from the task dashboard.
    Is anyone aware of a way to make this display/change user setting dashboard specific?

    You can do this setting while maintaining the user. This settings are user specific.
    goto SU01=>enter your user=>Personalization tab=>double click the Personalization object key DPR_USER_SETTINGS=> One new window will open in that under General you can define the Processing mode either Display or Change as per your requirement.

  • Can't Power Up Without Unplugging Then Replugging

    I'm almost positive this is my fault...
    My PowerMac G4 is plugged into an outlet which is turned on an off by a lightswitch on the wall. The lightswitch has been bumped a few times, and even though I tried taping the switch to hold in the up (on) position, the bumping has occasionally shut off the power.
    A few days ago, after turning my computer off the night before (the cofrrect way, using the computers power button), I pressed the power button to turn the machine on and nothing happened. The computer did not turn on.
    *I unplugged the computer and then plugged it back in. Then I pressed the power button and the computer turned on!*
    This is an ongoing pattern. The computer will NEVER start up from shut down without unplugged and replugging it in.
    I've tried two trouble shooting tests: I've changed outlets and I've swapped power cables. No luck. Is this a Power Supply issue?
    PS: Since I've gotten the computer, I've put in a new Radeon 9600 Pro graphics card, a Sonnet Allegro USB 2.0 card, and two Kingston 512 MB RAM sticks.

    I would check the battery first. When mine went, I had no response from my Mac at all; just a light on my power button; absolutely no boot at all.
    Check out things in Texas Mac Man's Battery, PRAM, PMU tutorial on the subject. His tutorial is a little dated (don't believe it even mentions G5's, or Intel Macs) but the info in it, except SMU and SMC not being included, still applies.

    I have five ipad ii products. Four of them I use in my classroom and one is for personal use.  How can I change my apple ID on my personal iPad and keep all of the apps (i.e. Kindle).  I do not want it connected to my school iPads. 

    All app purchases are permanently tied to their Apple ID. You will have to delete and repurchase the apps with a new ID. I would recommend wiping that iPad and setting it up with another ID.

  • Unresponsive iPod - working until I unplugged, then replugged.

    So I was trying to get the "Sync" button to work (it was greyed out on my laptop) so I unplugged and re-plugged my iPod. However, now it doesn't do anything - restart does nothing, I can't even reset it to factory settings. The computer doesn't register it officially, but it does make that noise when I plug it in and unplug it. Any suggestions? It was working perfectly fine until I unplugged/replugged it in.
    iTunes may pick it, up, but it's telling me that the iPod is giving me an invalid message...

    I'm also on iPhone 4, iOS 6, and have exactly the same problem. I've tried resetting privacy settings, turning restrictions on and off, deleting and reinstalling apps. Nothing seems to work. The lists of apps in privacy settings are all empty, except for location services. When using Tweetbot the app is regularly asking for permission to access my twitter account, but even when I allow that, the app doesn't show in privacy settings.
