Changes don't show
I have removed a dropdown box from an asp page and replaced
it with a text entry box. When I run the page in the browser, the
dropdown box remains. I have verified that the page on the server
reflects the changes. I have cleared out any cached pages in my
browser. Can anyone help with this problem? Thanks.
Rename the file on the server. Browse to the old file name.
If you are not
getting a 404, then you are not renaming the same page to
which you are
browsing. There's no other explanation.

Folio changes don't show up in the app
Hi.
We have two folios in two different apps on which our changes don't reach the app.
If we update the folio, there is no "Update" button.
If we unpublish it, it stays in the app.
If we republish it with new content under a new product ID, the old folio can still be downloaded but the new one cannot.
Other folios in the same app are working as expected.
Sounds like a problem with the publishing servers. Can anyone confirm that?
Or is it something else? If so, how can it be solved?

ToniCall enterprise support and ask them to look into it. It's rare, but sometimes there is a weird state a folio can get into, and this might be one of those cases.

IDE: Child movieclip timeline changes don't show in parent timeline?
Why does a child movieclip only show the first frame within the IDE, regardless of where you are in the parent timeline?
If you throw a movieclip with 25 frames onto the main timeline, which also has 25 frame, you don't see the nested movieclip's frame-progress while you scroll through the main timeline.
Is there a setting somewhere in preferences or somewhere that will enable you to see a nested movieclip's frame position from the main timeline? Like you do with After Effects composites?The best answer I can think of is that's the way it is. Movieclip symbols in a timeline only display their initial frame contents. If you traverse the containing timeline, you aren't traversing the timelines of the objects contained in it. That helps keep main/containing timelines small.

Help! Files say published but changes don't show?!?

I have been battling with this issue for the last week now. Click on the link Senior Portraits - Click on Senior Gallery - all you will see is a "return to menu" link. The photographs do not show. In my iweb application the photos show on the page. The page is correctly hyperlinked. I have deleted and recreated the page several times and relinked the hyperlink to the new page. I have no idea what else I can do to make this work. HELP HELP HELP!!!!!!Ok, so when I looked at the file itself on my desktop I thought the images were there. I did not know I could view the webpage from my desktop. When I viewed the webpage the pictures are not there.
I am publishing to a mobile me server I think. However, I'm not sure. I am using go daddy just for the domain name.
When I do the command option a under the "commercial section" I get the following - I have absolutely no clue what this means. All I know is that my photos aren't there.

"put" are reflected in remote view in dreamweaver......everything looks good...but when I go online...the changes are not there...

Changes in my website don't show up
For 8 days now I have been struggling with this problem and now I'm starting to suspect something about my internet connection, though I only notice the problem when working on my website.
I have a self-hosted Wordpress website. Starting 8 days ago, whenever I made a change in the back end, such as change my layout or add a widget, the change does not show up when I reload my website for a long time (like a half hour).
This happens in all three browsers, Safari, Firefox, and Chrome.
This happens with any theme I choose to use.
Yes, I have cleared my cache and history. And it happens in Private browsing too.
WHY? Can you tell me why, and how to get this fixed? It's really hard to create a website when I can't see the changes right away.

A Bluehost tech did a trace route that showed Verizon is the problem. I don't totally understand, but it's like Verizon isn't letting me getting into Bluehost (at least not timely; since the changes do show up eventually). Here's a copy of the traceroute:

Another Bluehost tech suggested I go to the library and try making some changes to my website there, and see how quickly they appear. That went fine, the changes showed up immediately, but actually made the whole thing more confusing because it turns out my library uses Verizon for their ISP too.
I tried to get help from Verizon anyway. That was a fiasco.
I didn't come back here to the forum right away because I hadn't even gotten any response to this post yet. I wanted to find a live chat, but didn't at first. Then I decided to download the In Home Agent, which is a joke; it's just like downloading an annoying FAQ to your computer (and later I found out it's very difficult to uninstall). But I found the live chat button in the home agent, and spoke to a guy who didn't have much to say, quickly telling me that because it was a website issue I should email [email protected] He didn't even want to see the traceroute
So I did. They were worse than unhelpful, to the point of condescending. After explaining my problem, including the fact that I've been working with Bluehost for hours over the last 8 days, their entire answer was, "You are not hosting your domain with us but with bluehost.com"
To that ridiculous response, I replied, "Of course I know where I am hosting my website! I was told by the Verizon live chat guy to write to you. And doesn't the trace route show that Verizon is the issue, like Bluehost is saying?'
His entire response was just two links, no other text. The first link took me to my Whois, as if he didn't believe I know where I'm hosting, and the second was to Bluehost's contact page. Unbelieveable!
I did go back to talk to Bluehost some more, where they're always friendly and helpful, but he confirmed what two others have already said, that that traceroute shows that Verizon is stopping my website from reloading quickly.
I looked for a Verizon email address but can't find one. I don't want to sit on hold on the phone with a Verizon agent. So I guess I have to write here.
I've read a lot of negative things about customer service at Verizon. Please prove them wrong and help me fix this problem. Thank you. -
Lightroom is not saving metadata. I have done several things to save and I still get the tag that states is is not saved. I have also created 2 smart collections. One showing metadata has been changed and one showing metadata is not up to date. No matter what I do it is not showing in LR that it is saved. I spent 2 days with Seth Resnick trying to correct this and we re created my catalog. It was ok, until I imported new images and same problem. Now I have a new problem, when I bring image to PS it saves it but does not bring back to LR. Am I the only one out there who has this problem?

Changes to topics don't show up in chm & topics are duplicated
I imported a RoboHelp 5 project into RoboHelp 7. When I edit
a topic, save, and generate the primary layout (chm) the changes do
not show up in the chm unless I access the topic through the TOC.
Also, duplicates of every topic show up in the .chm when I search
on a topic title: one with old out of date stuff that I don't know
where it's coming from and one that gets a "The page cannot be
displayed" message.

1) Make a backup of your project, and then rename the .cpd
file and reenter your project.
2) Try creating a new single source layout.
3) Check the hyperlinks in your topics for any that

Changes to PSDs in LR4 don't show up in bridge or photoshop.
I just downloaded ACR 6.7, now tiff adjustments in LR4 (PV2012) show up in bridge and photoshop when I save the metadata to file in LR4, PSD adjustments in LR4 don't show up. I'm running CS5.
Peggy, your post fixed this problem for me.
My guess would be that the Pages folder in the Mobile Documents folder on your Mac is corrupt. That does seem to happen more with the Pages folder than the other folders in there. The Mobile Documents folder is on the first level of your user library. The user's Library is hidden in Lion but it is easy to open. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your user Library will appear about halfway down the list. Move the com~apple~Pages folder to your desktop & restart Pages. A new com~apple~Pages folder should be created with copies of the files from iCloud. If it doesn't repopulate, you can open the copies in the folder you moved to the desktop & again move them to iCloud by clicking on the document title.
Saving the files locally to your hard drive & then moving them to iCloud seems to have less problems with corruption of this folder. -
ITunes Plus Old songs don't show up for upgrades
I occasionally stumble across previously purchased songs, for example "Time of the Season" by the Zombies, which are now in the plus format. They don't show up in the "Upgrade My Library" area in the store.
There are also lots of cases where old cuts have slightly different listings and don't match up to what's in my library.
Is there anyway to get Apple to allow me to upgrade to the Plus versions of these songs?"Note that the track usually will have to be the exact same version"
Ever since iTunes began, there have been problems where the person ripping the music isn't very accurate as to the MP3 tags, and later the titles themselves.
For example (just making this one up) "Yellow Submarine", 3minutes, Beatles Yellow Submarine can change to "Yellow Submarine", 3 minutes, THE Beatles.... and then it won't show up as a match.
You will find LOTS of these examples if you search on titles you bought more than a year ago, and even though the song is there, it will say "no longer available" just because someone typed the title differently. -
My purchased songs don't show up on my iPod
I have one of the first generation iPod Touch. I've purchased songs and they show up on my music in iTunes but even after synching they don't show up on my device. Can't figure out how to get them there. Any ideas? Since Apple change the version of iTunes I can't figure out how to synch after i buy something so usually end up disconnecting my device, reattaching to my computer and then it synchs. Apple support have been absolutely of no assistance.
Automatic syncing is controlled (set up by the user) using the iPod's Music tab. Select the iPod in the sidebar, under DEVICES. Over to the right (near the top), there is a row of "tabs" (they look like buttons in the latest iTunes), that starts with Summary. Click on Music there.
Make sure Sync Music is checked. Below that, you tell iTunes how you want your iPod synced with music. If your entire iTunes music library will fit on the iPod, you can select Entire music library. Then, any change to your library (such as purchasing new songs from the iTunes Store) should automatically sync to the iPod.
Otherwise, if the entire library will not fit or you don't want to fill up the iPod with only songs, you need to set up syncing based on Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres. Below that setting, set up the rest of the Music tab to tell iTunes what playlists, artists, albums, or genres to sync. Only the songs included in your selection will sync to the iPod, so if you purchased new songs, they will not sync to the iPod unless thay are included in the selection on the Music tab.
One easy way to set it up is to create a new playlist in iTunes, and call it something like "iPod songs." From your music library, add ALL the songs you want on the iPod to this playlist (including those new songs). On the iPod's Music tab, select this playlist for syncing. Going forward, any change you make to this playlist (adding or removing songs) will sync to the iPod automatically when it is connected and you tell it to Sync.
You can also set up the other tabs, such as Movies and Podcasts (and Apps for an iPod touch), to set up syncing for those other categories of media. Just make sure the total size of the selection is less than the capacity of the iPod (shown on the "bar" near the bottom).
All of the above has not changed for the latest version if iTunes. It works the same as before... -
I purchased iCould recently, but all my songs don't show up. I updated iTunes Match and turned it on, but they're not there.
I still cannot see all the music; some I downloaded and some I purchased. For example, I downloaded two CDs by The Band Perry; one is on iTunes and one isn't. I purchased iTunes Match before I changed computers so I could transfer it all to my new machine without have to load CDs again. I also purchased some songs that are no longer there.
I looked at the article you referenced and have completed all the recommended steps. I have authorized this computer and updated iTunes match. Is there any way to recover the music I downloaded, as well as purchases I made? (I purchased Viva la Vida by Coldplay and it's not on my iTunes. There may be others, but I haven't noticed any others specifically.)

When I try open a .pdf file my Adobe Reader 11 only allows the download / save opening the related window and don't show me both options 1) open with ... and 2) save as.... probably someone flagged the choise... always perform this way ....
Could some one give help and let me know where I can probably find the settings option that allows me to change and switch to previous situation where it was possible to decide time to time how to proceed either opening the file or saving it ??
