Changes in dreamweaver are not being read by browser

I made my first adds to my first website and I can see them in css and live view but i cannot see them in Preview Browser and even though I uploaded it to my server, I cannot see it on the web either. I even went to my server and opened the index page and it opened the document in dreamweaver and the change was there but for some reason I cannot see it in any browser.

There are no links to any pages to display your videos.
Perhaps you uploaded your page containing links to the wrong folder on the remote server?

Changes to profile are not being saved

When I checked my profile I found that I'd entered my first and last names in the first name field. I corrected that, saved, and reloaded the profile. My first and last names remain in tghe first name field.
Similarly, when I attempted to enter my mobile phone number Skype insisted the number was invalid---it certainly is not---and would not allow a save.
This is very helpful.

I had the same issue after a long time between uses (version updates). I finally figured out that their format does not allow any dashes or parenthesis, just country code and the sequence of numbers. For instance, I'm in the US, so my number resembled this format:
country code, area code, prefix, number normally looks like this:
+1(555)123-4567
or +1 555-123-4567
entered on skype as:
+15551234567
It would be really helpful if they did what other website and ux designers do by including a sample format either in filler text or an info box. but they don't. Anyway, hope that's helpful.

New Iphone 6 messages are not being read

I just bought the new iPhone 6 (64gb) about 3 days ago. The problem I am facing is that every time I get a message on my phone (be it text or iMessage), I open it, reply to it, and then quit the application but the blue badge icon (implying that I have an unread message) is still on. I went to the Apple store yesterday and changed my phone but the new one still has the same problem. I have to read the messages twice for the blue badge icon to disappear. I tried restarting the phone, resetting it, turning the badge icon on and off, basically everything I read on different forums. Nothing worked. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this or is this a common bug with iOS 8?

Mark, my issue was a result of too much fatigue and too few brains. I had merely forgotten to turn on pairing on my bluetooth device. Once I realized my idiotic mistake, it worked immediately. Don’t know what the problem on your side could be. I believe the newest bluetooth technology (iPhone 6) is backward compatible with the oldest bluetooth technology (headphones) so it should work. M2v files are not being read on my new mac.

I installed quicktime pro, dvd studio pro 3, final cut pro 4...and my m2v files will not play in quicktime or the preview window. I get a pop up window saying, "Movie could not be opened. not a movie file." With any of those programs installed, shouldn't mpeg-2 codec be installed automatically? I plugged in my external HD with all my movies on it back up to my old g4...and they play fine there. I noticed there was a problem on the new mac when i tried to import them into DVD studio pro. So how do i get the m2v files to be viewable in quicktime and in DVD studio pro?

You must also install the MPEG2 playback component. It is also a good idea to use MPEG Streamclip which has some nice features for MPEG.

Remember: we cannot see your machine. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Basic things like :
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For instance: 'iPhoto won't export' is best explained by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted?
- Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

The reason you're getting the repeat is because your site name is wilgenroos.nl and the first page of your site is wilgenroos.
The standard URL for domain names that are forwarded with the CNAME method is:
http://www.domain_name.com/site_name/page_name.html.
You can change the site and page names in iWeb to give you something more informative about the site and page.
If you're publishing to a 3rd party server and want to get rid of the site name in the url and only have
http://www.domian_name.com/page_name.html
do the following:
publish the site to a folder on your hard drive (already done)
use Cyberduck to upload just the contents of your site folder to the root folder of your account on the server.
You should delete the old site folder and files that are currently there beforehand.

Make sure People Sending you via iMessage are sending their messages on your PHONE number not on your EMAIL addresses . My sister had the same problem, thats how i managed to solve it!

Read and deleted messages are not being updated on my iphone 4s

I have a new user who is having a synchronization issue with his iPhone. When he reads emails on his desktop, the messages on his iPhone 4s show as being unread. Also, when he delets messages on his desktop email, messages are not being deleted on his iPhone. I have never seen this issue before and do not know what to do. Please help. Thank you!

The end user just started with the company a week ago and he is using Outlook 2010. We never had this issue in the past. Active sync has been enabled on user’s account and he was able to configure the firm's Exchange email profile on his iPhone. Although he is able to receive messages on his mobile device, it does not sync with his desktop email. I asked him to delete the profile on the device and create it again, but he wants to do that as a last option.

So exactly what do you mean changes in the database not being logged?
Are you doing insert, delete or updates and they are not being committed?
Are you droping tables, creating tables, creating users and they are not appearing in the database?
What do you mean logged? Logged in the audit table (file)?
Please give more details.
If they are transactions, make sure they are being committed.

Any help that you can provide in helping my iPhone accurately sync with iPhoto and iTunes will be greatly appreciated.
Symptoms:
1)   Sync: It’s not completing the sync. Below, I’ve provided all of my settings from the iTunes Summary tab so that you might tell me if I’ve selected any incorrect options. I prefer to sync the “old school” way – by connecting to the computer – as opposed to syncing over the cloud. Perhaps this is what’s causing the problem? Here is a list of the steps displayed in the iTunes window as the sync progresses:
waiting for sync to start (step 1 of 7)
backing up (step 2 of 7)
preparing to sync (step 3 of 7)
determining apps to sync (step 4 of 7)
preparing apps to sync (step 5 of 7)
importing photos (step 6 of 7)

2)   Photos: I've selected only certain of my iPhoto albums to sync to my iPhone. All of the albums are correct/complete in iPhoto. All of the albums are listed on my iPhone, both before and after the sync, but the albums are empty (no actual photos) before and after the sync. Perhaps this is tied to the fact that the sync isn’t completing, but because “importing photos” is one of the steps that the incomplete sync displays, I don’t know.
3)   Apps: When I launch iTunes and click on the Apps folder under the Library listing, then click on the Updates tab, iTunes searches for any Apps needing to be updated and provides a list. If I click on Update All, the Apps are successfully updated in iTunes. But, when I plug in my iPhone so that the updates will transfer to the apps on my iPhone, the updates don’t transfer to the apps on my iPhone and those apps still reflect that they need updating on the iPhone.
Other Potential Pertinent Info:
The flash memory hard drive on my MacBook Air recently died (perhaps a month or two ago). Apple had emailed me about a known issue and literally the next day, my MacBook Air crashed. I installed a new flash memory drive and re-installed everything from a backup off of an external hard drive. Everything seems to be working fine; it recreated accurately all of my software and data, including iPhoto and iTunes, the pictures and songs (respectively) for which are stored on that hard drive, as opposed to being on the flash memory in the MacBook Air itself. However, I don’t recall if the start of the sync problem described herein started happening at the same time that I replaced the flash memory drive. All I know is that the computer is working perfectly in all respects and that even as the sync is failing, it at least says that it’s doing the right things and looking in the right places (e.g., the list of albums on my iPhone matches the list of albums in iTunes, etc.).

You need to download iTunes on your computer. iOS 6 requires the latest version of iTunes which is 10.7.

If your iPad is signed into an old ID and you are trying to change it, if the old ID is yours, and if it is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

URLs are not being recognized inside PDF

URL links inside a PDF that I've created in InDesign CS5 are not being recognized.
I have email and website URLs embedded inside a PDF that was created in InDesign. These links are being recognized and I can click on them in Chrome, Opera, IE or Safari on the Mac. Eg, hovering over the mailto or http URLs the cursor turns to a hand and the links are clickable. Firefox is the only browser that does not recognize ANY links in the PDF. The cursor doesn't change to a hand instead it just remains as the standard text insertion cursor. The links are not clickable.

Current Firefox versions have enabled a built-in PDF Viewer that doesn't have all features that other PDF readers like the Adobe Reader have or may not function properly otherwise.
You can change the action for Portable Document Format (PDF) from Preview in Firefox to use another application like the Adobe Reader or set to Always Ask in "Firefox > Options/Preferences > Applications".
You can set the pdfjs.disabled pref to true on the <b>about:config</b> page to disable the build-in PDF viewer.

You can check the value of the plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types pref on the about:config page and remove the application/pdf part if present or reset the pref to the default via the right-click context menu if you want to display PDF documents in Firefox with another application (i.e. not the built-in PDF Viewer).

Metadata changes in Lightroom are not reflected in Premiere Pro C

Hello everyone. I am having trouble with my current workflow. I am shooting RAW with a Canon 7d using Magic Lantern. I use raw2cdng to transform the mlv(raw) files to cdng. I then use lightroom to color correct my DNG files. I use lightroom to save the new metadata info to my files. Those changes that I make are reflected in file explorer, but when I import the files to Premiere Pro using the MediaBrowser the color corrections that I made in lightroom are not being shown. What am I doing wrong? Why is Premiere Pro not reading my metadata info correctly? I appreciate all of your help.
