Changes in process order against actual/standard bom

Dear GURUS
We are from Process Industry.
Suppose there is finished material A. Components of A (BOM) for qty - 1
Component    qty.
   X                 1
   Y                 2
   Z                  3
One process order is created of A for qty 1.
Then I had deleted the component Z from the created po and change the qty Y from 2 to 3 or any one.
How can I track these changes against standard bom? Is there any report for same.
I would also like to know the deviation in process order against standard bom and issued qty against BOM.
I try Tcode COOISPI . Table STPO and RESB but not getting success.
Also try MCRX, MCRE but it show actual issed against process order qty. But I would like to see diff. bet. Actual BOM , Process order and actual qty.

Hi Rajan,
I think that this kind of control is designed in SAP through CO, meaning that in product cost controlling you have 3 sets of costs: standard as per BOM, target as per the definition in the the production order (e.g. after you changed the components), and actual as per the actual goods issues.
These sets contain not only costs data, but also quantities.
There's also very nice functionality to do a variance analisys between the three, again, not only cost but also quantity.

There is no tracking mechanism in SAP. If you dont want users to change the component during confirmation, then you create a transaction variant for CO11N transaction, and define in such a way that Component quantity field is greyed out and also delete button is also removed.
If you search this Forum you will find suitable threads explaining the process of creating transaction variants.

Log creation for changes in Process Order

Hi,
We need a feature in which we need a log to created for any changes to process order. For example if qty of a component is changed, the log will records the old qty, time of change & who changed it. Similarly it should record other things like inserting/deletion of a component, insertion of a new resource etc.
Note that the log of status change in process order does not serve the purpose.
Please provide some solution to this.

You need to implement Order change management (OCM). Explore detail functionality and capabilities of it in help.sap portal . Also there are tons of material on it in SDN forum . Refer SAP note 390635 for more information

Material list layout need to be changed in Process Order

Hi All,
       I am using 4.6 B , here I want to change the process order material list layout .In the later version (4.7 & ECC 5.0) I could able to find the option 'Change Layout' in the process order itself. Incase of 4.6B no such like option found .So could anyone know me where shoud I can change the layout .
   Particulary I need to change the sequence of columns in layout.

     I have tried the option already , but could not able to alter the sequence of the fields apart from the hiding of fields .I required to alter into customer defined sequence of fields in the layout , so would appreciate your suggestions on this .

Changes in process order BOM

Hello,
I have a problem in process order. In the process order the quantity of one of the BOM item is different than the actual BOM.
I have checked that BOM has not been changed.
How do I find whether it was MRP that has exploded wrongly or there was any manual changes to the planned order or process order.
We do not have OCM.

You will only be able to get a clue, whether any manual change is done or not. In the Component overview screen of the order scroll to the right side and check the defination of the Column with heading "<b>Chng Proc</b>." if this is with value <b>"1",</b> it means the order Component has been changed Manually.

Yes, You can assign component manually in component overview screen or you can issue material directly for order with 261 movement, It will go to unplanned consumption

Batch number change after Process order release

Hi all,
I would like to know if it is possible to change the batch number after that the process order has been released.
Actually, the field is grey and not editable anymore.
Is it customizing?

if the Batch numbers are generated while releasing the Process order. you cannot change the Batch number. (it will have inconsistency of data)

How to track changes for Process Order

Dear All,
how can i have change documents for a process order like , which user have done Batch determination, order release, operation confirmation and GI and GR.
if i can understand there is an option in process order GOTO->LOGS->....... to view some of these information but that is not working on my side saying "There are no entries in the release log ". how to activate these logs...

You can find Changes Details in Order Status tab(Blue Ikon)
GO to that Ikon ---> Extras --> Change Documents --> All ---> Then Press All Changes
Please refer SAP note 390635 .
But if you want change document in details or restrict changes then you have to use OCM :-Order Change management.

Process Order Creation without Standard Cost

Hello All,
I need a functionality.. If standard cost is not released for a period , system should not allow me to create a process order in the certain period.
Is any standard configurations allow me to achieve this????

Mahesh,
Standard SAP allows creation of order without Std cost estimate. Only in REM you could make it give error.
However I suggest you could implement the exit PPCO0006.
In this the function module EXIT_SAPLCOZF_003 contains the import parameter CAUFVD_IMP which has material number (MATNR) and plant (WERKS). Pass these to table MBEW and get the value of STPRS (std cost). If this value is 0 then give the error.

Hi,
Check whether you have activate the OCM ( Change Management for Production Order ) in your system (In tocde : OPL9 and OPL7), if it is activated then only you can see the changes carried out in an order other wise you can only check the High level like when the last change was carried out and by whom.

Before deciding the strategy make sure whether it is pure Make to Order or not
What i mean by pure Make to Order is all activities(Procurement/Prodcution) will start only after the receipt of the sale order
If this is the case then you can go for planning strategy-20,you need to maintain this strategy only at the FG(Finished Good) level
If this is not the case then you can go for combination of Make to stock & make to order like 40 or 60

User Status change problem in Process Order

Hi,
We are in process of upgrading our system from 4.6C to ECC 6.0. I have a problem with User status change for process Orders.
In 4.6C we are using the profile x with settings:
10     ZNEW     Created process order     10     90     1     1     ZSTA
20     ZLCK     Locked process order     20     90     1     1     ZREV
30     ZOPN     Reopened process order     20     90     1     1     ZOPN
40     ZMST     MES order started     20     90     1     1     ZMST
50     ZMCL     MES order closed     20     90     1     1     ZMCL
90     ZTEC     Technically completed      20     90     1     1     ZTEC
In ECC 6.0 we also use the same profile settings as above.
The problem is in ECC 6.0 when I do a goods receipt the User status changes to ZTEC . The process followed is ..Create process order, Release Order, Goods issue, Phase partuial confirmations, Goods receipt and then Finla confirmations of phases. Now in 4.6C if i do the above process the User status remains at ZMST and it only changes to ZTEC when i technically complete the order but in ECC 6.0 when I do a goods recipt from above steps the User status changes to ZTEC. THis should not happen.
Any pointers will be very helpful.

The log for production order preliminiary costing is not saved. Therefore, once the order is saved, there is no log available anymore (this is by the way a question of PP; none of the logs is saved).

Process order change pointers - not getting logged

Hi,
I have defined change pointers for Process order for one custom message type in BD52 (and BD50 as well.). I have included AFKO, AFPO and AUFK tables (e.g. fields like KEY, GAMNG).
But no change pointers are getting logged when ever I create or change a process order through COR1/2.
Am I missing something?.. (and yes Change pointer are active 'Globally'.)

generally change pointers (table: BDCP) are saved during change document creation (table CDHDR),
but due to performance reasons this funcionality was switched off...
see oss note 390635...
I think, if you want - you must write own code in which change pointers will be created,
look at these function modules, should be helpful:

CHANGEDOCUMENT_CLOSE
CHANGE_POINTERS_CREATE_LONG
