Changes in Sales  order delivery date

Have created sales order with delivery date as 20.01.10 and run md02, in md04 requirement date shown as 20.01.10. now I changed the delivery date in sales order as 20.02.10 and run md02, observed that the requirements date in md04 is not changed, it is showing as still 20.01.2010. Please advise if the initial delivery date changes, why system is not changing the requirements date in md04? Please advise.

1. When you change the delivery date at the header level in the sales order it doesnt change the schedule lines date.
2. Since MRP looks only the schedyle line date and not the header level date you have the issue.
Now
3. go to the sales order change the req. delviery date in the schedule line and re- run the MRP..
your issue will be solved

  • Authorisation to prevent changing of sales order delivery date

    Hi,
I need to prevent certain users from modifying the delivery dates of schedule lines
of a sales order. Is there a standard auth object for this type of control ?
    Allan

Inform the basis consultant to restict the user id for particular users only to create & display & not change of sales order. In other words, do not provide authorization for change of sales order, which is possible through Basis Control.

  • Copy Sales Order delivery date to Delivery Order delivery date

    Hi,
Is there a way to create a FMS to copy the sales order delivery date to delivery order delivery date?
    Thanks
    Fabian

    Hi Fabian,
I am not sure whether I have understood your requirement correctly.
CopyTo also works for creating a delivery document from more than one sales order as base documents and base ref is available in line table than in parent table.
The work around could be to create a UDF in marketing documents & update this UDF in sales order using FMS or using SBO stored procedure.
Now, once after sales order is copied to delivery the UDF value is available in delivery and u can create one another FMS to get the UDF value into Delivery's Delivery Date.
    Hope this helps.
    Best Regards

    Select T0.DocNum, Max(T1.UpdateDate) 'Last Update', T0.DocDueDate

  • Update of Sales Order Delivery Dates from Production Order Date Changes

    I work at a discrete made-to-order manufacturer.
When our factories maintain their production orders, they will often have to change their order dates.  Is there a way so that these changes can automatically update our sales orders so we can re-send sales order confirmations?

    hi,
    this comes under development part.
please check the feasibility with your abaper because you will have to change standard code.

  • Sale Order Delivery Date

    Hi expert
We have recently found wrong calender was assigned to our shipping points. We therefore changed it to correct one.
However, after this, Sales orders that created on Saturday are getting Delivery Date as of Monday only and in VL01N we are unable to due PGI on Saturday (For any sales order, even created on any other day)
    Few finding are -
    1. Factory Calender IN used as correct calender. Earlier Shipping Points was using 01 calender.
    2. For IN calenders Saturday and Sundays are marked as working days.
    3. Although Routes are difined and assinged with Calender IN, Route Schduleing is not active.
    4. For other days, when a sales order getting creating only one schedule line get created and confirm qty appear at that line only. However for order created on Saturday, two schdule line come up. In one line NO confrim Qty and in next one it shows confirm qty.
    5. No Pick/Pack timing is defined in OVLZ
Please let me know how to slove this issue
    - Sunil

    Thanks all
    Issue resovled by self.
In Shipping Point - Working Hours (OVLZ) working time was maintained as Shift 1, which appearently not having SAT / SUN maintined.
Here 'Working Times' if maintianed then system consider the shift for calculating delivery date.
(Pl. read F1 of 'Working Times')
If only factory calender entry maintiain, shipping point considered open 24 hrs.
    Thanks
    - Sunil.

  • Set Sales Order Delivery Date to Today?

I am looking to set the delivery date to a default of the day at which it is entered i.e. I open a sales order and the delivery date defaults to today.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
When you open a sales order, the docdate will be today's date and the delivery date is empty. the cardcode, item code, etc are also empty.
    Use this following query FMS:
    select $[ordr.docdate]
save it by using query generator and assigning the FMS into delivery date by pressing shiftaltF2 and define formatted search window will appears. Select search by saved query, input the query above, check auto refresh when field changes, select customer/vendor code, select display saved value (it is used to avoid updating the document every time you open it) and finally update the define FMS window.
when you open the sales order document, it will still be empty, after you input the cardcode, the delivery date will be input automatically  and as same as posting date. if it is today, then the dates (for both) will be today.

  • Sales order delivery dates

    Hi all,
A critical scenario I am stuck in. My client has 3 plants viz. 1000, 1100, 1200. Plant 1000 gets sales orders from different customers and production happens on plants 1100 and 1200 through special procurement key. Customer A and customer B are very important for plant 1000. For customer A client allocates 25 tonnes per week and for customer B, 15tonnes/ week. The amount agreed can be changed at any time with the customer.  The purpose of this allocation is to reserve capacity for these customers in order to provide short lead time.
Capacity of plant 1100 is 200 tonnes per week( I am not sure where to define). If for last 3 weeks, capacity booked in plant 1100 is 190 tonnes including 15 tonnes of Customer A and 15 tonnes of Customer B , then plant 1100 can take orders for 10 tonnes more. When a person creates a sales order in plant 1000, it should show that plant 1100 has capacity available only for customer A and for other customers it should show later date for delivery.client wants to set a forecast demand of 25 tons/week for customer A and 15 tons/week for Customer B. As client receive specific orders from customer A or B, this should reduce the forecast tonnage accordingly.
How to map this?? kindly guide.
    Regards.

  • Sales order delivery date

    HI gurus
I have an item in sales order which is a trading material so  i need to raise a purhcase order whenever a sales order is generated for the GR processing days in MM it is given as 15 normally happens and PO is raised now  when the delivery date is ready now but when the goods within two days when i run once again availibility it will change the delivery date or not
    Thanks in advance

    Hi there,
I thumb rule that you have to follow when posting the thread is, to be clear in what you are asking. Looking at the thread posted, can you make out anything? No spaces, no full stops. How will people understand what your query is? Just read back your question & help us understand what does the query mean.
From what you have given, you are saying that in material master MRP views, GR processing time is mentioned as 15 days. What after that? Are you asking of the materials are available before that 15 days & you run an availability check is the delivery date going to change? Is that what you are asking?
If the material is already available on that date, system will confirm the reqested delivery date. If item is not available then system will propose a new confirmed delivery date basing on the availability check. It will not propose a date which is earlier to the requested delivery date. It either confirms the requested delivery date or proposes a confirmed delivery date at a later time.
For eg when the customer requests delivery on the 25th in the sales order, then if material is available, system will confirm 25th as the delivery date. If material is not available,, then it will check item availability & proposes 28th as confimed delivery date. It will never propose 22nd as delivery date.

  • Sales order delivery date not update on PO delivery confirmation

    Hi all,
I have the following issue. When a sales order is created for a material that is to be purchased a purch req is automatically created. Next I create a Po from this Purch req. When I confirm the delivery date to a later date in this po and do this without entering a storage loc in the po, the delivery date in the sales order remains unchanged, which should be adjusted according to the confirmed delivery date in the PO.
When I do this with a storage location, the date is changed in the sales order.
Anybody any ideas on what could be the reason for this?
    Thanks,
    Kevin.

  • Sales Order/Delivery Dates in APO

    Hi All,
Sales orders and deliveries have different dates (loading, GI, Delivery etc).
I beleive the Sales orders appear on the GI date in the planning book.
Any ideas on the dates for Delivery documents? Is that the planned GI or the transportation planning date?
Are there any settings to control that.
    Thanks in advance.
    Zeeshan.

I believe it is that material availability date on the delivery document.. You could use the CIF user exit for sales orders to manipulate the date, if needed.

  • Which Factory Calendar is used to determine the Sales Order delivery date

    Hi ,
There is Factory calendar assigned to sales Org and shipping point as well.
I want to know which Factory calendar is used to determine the promise date on sales order acknowledgement and which one is used to determine the delivery date?
    Appreciate your help/inputs.
    Regards,
    Ram

    Ramy,
I am not sure what you mean by 'promise date'.  For a given sales order item confirmation schedule, the system calculates the following dates:
    Delivery Date
    Goods Issue date
    Loading Date
    Material Availability date
    Transportation planning date.
These dates are dependent upon what you have configured, and what your master data is.  If you have transportation scheduling turned on (IMG>SD>Basic Functions>Delivery scheduling and transportation scheduling), then the durations are:
Route duration (transit), - affected by factory calendar assigned to the route (0VTC, that's a zero)
Picking time, packing time, Transportation planning time, and Loading time- affected by the factory calendar assigned to the shipping point (OVLZ, not a zero)
In addition, the Material availability date will be affected by the calendar assigned to the plant (WB03).  The calculated dates may also differ on a given order schedule line, based on whether the sales order is backward scheduled or forward scheduled.  This is particularly important when the calendars all have different holiday schedules.
Standard SAP help on the matter, with a couple of nice pictures.

  • Restrict Delivery Entry based on Sales Order Delivery Date

    Dear All,
I create a Sales Order with a Specific Delivery Date say 15 Dec 2010. The System must prompt me if I try to Create a Delivery Document Based on the Sales Order before 15 Dec 2010.
Does it happen in standard system / Can it be achieved by SDK.
    Please Advice
    Thanks

    Hi Aslam,
If you want to Block the delivery document to post before the define delivery date in sales order than you can use the below Procedure...
    If @object_type = '15' and @transaction_type in ( 'A')
    BEGIN
if exists (select * from odln a inner join dln1 b ON a.DocEntry=b.Docentry
inner join ordr c on b.basetype=c.objtype
    where [email protected]_of_cols_val_tab_del
    and b.basetype='17' and a.docdate<c.docduedate )
    begin
    SET @error = 00001
SET @error_message = N'Delivery can not be enter before delivery date '
    end
    end
    Hope it will work
    Regards,
    Atif
