Changes since the latest upgrade

since the latest upgrade from november some strange things happenend. In the 'working-environment I see on this page 6 different items to click on (the smaller ones). In the preview mode and browser mode some of these items are gone (you can't see them) but they are still clickable.  This happend on more pages.
What went wrong??

    Go to Options>Applications>click on, in your case, Adobe Acrobat entries and select "Use Adobe Acrobat(in Firefox)" or as you wish.

    after the last upgrade to 9.0.1 the browser is very slow to open web pages when it starts (and I think slower generally). Also, the icons for each bookmark in the bookmark menu have gone, which makes it difficult to identify some bookmarks just by their description alone

    You should take a look at [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/latest-firefox-issues#os=mac&browser=fx9 this article] that discusses some of the issues with the latest build of Firefox.
    There is some information in there that should help you to resolve your issue. Luckily, it is a very easy fix for the bookmarks.
    As for you speed issues, I'd try starting Firefox in Safe Mode to see if it still happens. If not, then I'd start enabling your add-ons 1 at a time until you find the one that is slowing things down.

  • My Yahoo chat doesn't work anymore since the latest upgrade. Why??

    Ever since the upgrade, my yahoo chat won't work on my pc. I can't get the chat windows to pop up. I can see someone is trying to chat with me, but no window. I'm not the only one this is happening to. I have a friend who has gone through the same thing. We've both tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Please fix this particular issue as we both prefer firefox over internet explorer, but our chat works fine in IE. Thanks!

  • Since the latest upgrade, my bookmarks have been wiped out, not funtioning nor is my back button or History function working. There was a message after following links provided that said this couldn't be fixed. Seems incredible.

    I don't know what the update was called. I always trust them. Yet after I opened Firefox, I could not use my bookmarks since they were gone. The back button nor the History feature no longer works either. I followed the prompts and the diagnostic said there wasn't anything that could be done with this version.
    I am not a computer wiz. This kind of diagnostic/troubleshooting gives me the willies. If I can remove firefox and then reinstall with another version. I don't mind building up my HUGE data base of bookmarks again. Yet if there is no way to have bookmarks for my Master's research, then I must switch browsers.

    Thanks Tony for your link. Unfortunately I do not have the capacity to deal with the greek that page reads to me. Is there any way someone out there can walk me step by step on how to even start? I have no idea where any of those files can be found or what is required once I get there.
    There must be a place for luddites like me to get help? Do I go to an apple store? Hire a techie? Why should I have to fork out money to work a free browser. I do have an extensive library of bookmarks with all the internet research I have done, and would consider paying someone to help me restore this. sqlite file.
    I am really upset that Firefox doesn't supply an operator to help folks like me since this problem developed with their stinking upgrade. How can I trust future upgrades from now on?     FIREFOX, your mission states you want to be user friendly and of service to the people, that your a non-profit organization here to help navigate the web. Your upgrade has just diminished the quality of that experience by more than half of my previous effectiveness. PLEASE help me resolve this problem beyond just sending me to a page in your lexicon of solutions. I go to the chat room and it's been closed every time. I would like an email address of a customer service rep. but haven't found that either.

    new tabs open every other way fine, but nothing happens when I click the "+" in the tab row to open a new tab.

    If something works in safe mode but not otherwise, it probably means that an extension is blocking it. Start disabling extensions until you find out which one is the problem.

    If you're sure where your library is run this script iTunesXMLPath. The library folder is the folder that file is in. Your media folder is recorded under Edit > Preferences > Advanced and is usually a subfolder of the library folder.
    I recommend you backup your library with the method in this user tip.

    Thanks for the reference, the Web site explains a lot. And yes, my prefessor is from another country, so understanding his english is a little rough.
    I have read the info, and tried to apply it to my problem but the simple program will still not run. It compiles fine but when I type the following in cprompt:
    java DisplayData <- (my file name)
    I still get the same error message. I understand that it cannot find the class path, but his explanation of what to do about my problem isn't clear. Or maybe I'm not understanding him correctly.
    If you can assist any further help, it would be greatly appreciated.

  • TS3899 Since downloading the latest upgrade - we have been unable to access all email accounts.  Tried going to Settings etc - still not working.

    We downloaded the latest upgrade.  Since then we have been unable to open emails.   We followed instructions to change Privacy settings - but don't have any options available once we click on that.  Privacy page comes up with Location Services (Off) etc.  Any ideas how we can overcome problem ?

    My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now.  About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

    Try going to the View menu, and then click Show Sidebar. Does your iPhone show up there?
