Changes to no-latin1.map

This is probably not the place to post this, but I really don't know where to post it.
I started setting up a new arch install today, and hit the wall with an annoying problem after booting into the installed system.
I have a Norwegian keyboard and on previous installations I've used the no.map keymap, which had all the necessary norwegian special keys,
and mapped to the correct characters with respect to the physical keys. The no.map no longer support the æøå characters.
Then someone decided that
the no-latin1.map should change the behaviour of two keys - delete and $ (maybe more keys, I have not tested all). I'm used to that delete removes the character at the cursor, while backspace removes
the character to the left of the cursor, now both keys behave as backspace. The $-character is produced by alt-gr + 4 on norwegian keys, but this is now changed
to shift + 4. Easier you say? Well that is untill you are using another computer, and I use a number of computers during the day (some windows computers, some that I don't have admin rights etc.).
The $-character is frequently used in many programming lanugages, and this will confuse me.
Bah... Maybe I'm ranting on about something that isn't that important, but why "fix" something that ain't broken. And if one really desires some changes, do it for yourself, and
don't push it upstream. I'm a bit tired, and don't like to spend a lot of time searching for the source of an unnecessary change.
Anyways, I've changed my local no-latin1.map back to what it should be - according to all other systems I use.
Is there a way to make sure that pacman does not update this file?

Why not rename it to something non-standard and tell the system to use that map file? That way, if no-latin1.map ever gets fixed up, you'll still get a copy.

Changes done in message mapping is not reflecting in output

Hi all,
i have created one scenario XML to XML and i before i had done 1 to 1 mapping, i got the output also.
but when i changed few calculation in the message mapping
there is one node "name" and "Description" in source and target in both places.
i am having name in SOURCE XML as "something" but i want to change this name to "Xsomething" and in description i have something in source but i want to pass constant value "ZSUBHODIP".i did mapping in message mapping, and when i did the testing in message mapping then in target in message mapping
i got "XCOPC_C03" and "ZSUBHODIP" but when it takes the XML file which is in my system then in output XML name value "XCOPC_C03" and description "ZSUBHODIP" is not coming.
i activated it too.
even i tried with the same FILE to FILE scenario also but in this scenario also problem is same like one one mapping only then when i changed it in message mapping then previous output is coming.
is there server problem, if yes then how to fix it??
please tell me what to do

No, that would probably be the orientation lock. Check up by the battery icon and see if you have an icon with a small lock and a circular arrow. Either way, go to the Control Center, swiping up from the bottom of the screen. Look at the top row of icons and the orientation lock is the last one on the right. White is on, black is off. Just turn it off and you should be alright. Understand there are some apps that do not change into the landscape mode from portrait.

I've had an entirely different experience with Map units. Maps on my iPad (iOS 8) will only deliver units in kilometers, no matter how I adjust the settings for Maps or Region/Language. I am trying to calculate distances between two locations in the United States where all road distances are measured in miles. My iPad region is set to United States. When I open the settings for Maps, change the units from kilometers to miles, and close the window, IOS-8 changes the setting back to kilometers every time.
Slick interfaces and device designs aside, at times these little annoying bugs just make the folks at Apple look like rank amateurs.

Changing WT to GL mapping

Dear All
I am working in a group of companies and there is a request to change the GL mapping for few wage-types for one particular company. I am new to this particular area of SAP HR, but I am learning. By far what I have understood that WT are mapped to symbolic accounts and they in turn are mapped to GL accounts (via T-code OBYE or some other way). THere is this report RPDKON00 which displays WTs are they are assigned to symbolic accounts which in turn are assigned to GL accounts distributed by company codes.
Hence my conclusions are - We cannot assign a different GL for a WT just for one company. I mean for a particular WT-symbolic account combination, the GL will be same for all the companies in the country.
Can someone help me out here? Is my conclusion correct? or is there anyway to change the GL for a particular company and thus keep it different from other companies in the country for same symbolic account-WT combination?
Any clarity & guidance will be appreciated.

Mapping Wagetypes to G/L cannot be done directly
Firstly we have to create Symbloic Accounts in V_T52EK (Here we mention the key C:Expensive Account and F: Balance Sheet Account)
Later we assign the Wage type to Symbolic account in V_T52EZ
Creating posting dates using OG00
In T-Code: OBYG we assign S/Account to G/L
In T-Code :OBYG we can assign the Symbolic Account to G/L
If we have bifurcation in posting then we use PPMOD feature
For one wage types we cannot assign Multiple G/L s but we can map for multiple wage types we can assign one G/L

Change Filename using XSLT mapping without variable subtitution

My scenario is IDOC to file...i am using XSLT mapping, i want to change the filename format to OUT_<Purchase Number>_<DDMMYYYYhhmmss>_KKKK.txt, i cannot use UDF function as i do XSLT mapping i also i cannot use variable substitution as the target structure doesn't have PO and timestamp as tag elements. Can i acheive using writing a adapter module? I appreciate if anyone could help me with this..

in both cases you need to enable file adapter specific properties and enable the file name...
for this you need to use the dynamic configuration properties for the same...
usage of this option using udf in message mapping is rather easy than to use in XSLT...for this you dont need to change the structure in the message mapping...message mapping is just needed for execution of the udf.. thats it..

Change Encoding in Graphical Mapping

Hello guys,
I have an interface like File-> PI 7.1 -> Proxy
The problem is that some characters are not correct at the proxy, and I have an error when the proxy is executed.
I have at the sender file adapter the encoding ISO-8859-1, but the problem is that in my Operation mapping, I java a Java code, where I put iso-8859-1, and after a message mapping. After the java mapping the encoding is iso-8859-1, but after the message mapping and when the message arrives at the proxy is UTF-8.
There is any way to change the encoding during the message mapping or in the Proxy adapter? There is also the possibility to change the encoding at the ABAP code of the proxy?

Changing datatype, afterwards Message-Mapping cannot produce target element

Hi,
we use PI/700.
I changed a working system by changing a datatype of an existing message (adding a new element). My interface mapping contains two mappings: an XSL-Mapping and afterwards a Message-Mapping.
My interface mapping looks like this:
Message-Type A ->
XSL-Mapping ->
Message-Type B ->
Message-Mapping ->
Message-Type B
When I test each mapping alone everything works fine (with the new element I added).
But if I test my interface mapping in IBD with both mappings together, I'll get an error:
"Cannot produce target element /MT_EDM_OUTBOUND_LASTGANG_TO_SAP/LASTGANG/MASSEINHEIT. Check xml instance is valid for source xsd and target-field mapping fulfills requirements of target xsd".
Is it possible that XI has problems in refreshing the XSDs?
I tried this:
(1) I changed my Message-Mapping and now all elements are mapped 1:1 -> no success!
(2) Later I changed my Message-Mapping and build in "exists" with "if" to check whether the element "MASSEINHEIT" is generated by the XSL-Mapping -> It doesn't exists (??? - WHY? - when I test it, everything works fine)
(2) Afterwards I changed my interface mapping and take only the XSL-Mapping (without the following Message-Mapping) -> the element "MASSEINHEIT" exists now!
I'm totally confused!
Any ideas?

Hi,
If you have made structural changes to the data type..such as number of fields have decreased/increased..or some new fld altogether, then you have to activate the datatype..goto message mapping and then re-do the mapping...but if you have made "typo" changes like names have been changed, etc..then i think it should be alrite..i have sometimes made changes to my datatype, but after activating it, i had to redo the mapping..that was it!...the rest would fall into place:) No changes had to be made in the interface mapping..

How to change the voice in maps

I've selected English, Italian and German on my iPad, because I have to write letters in these languages.
But I'm living in Italy. To hear the Maps Voice of the Italian Streetnames with the English pronuniation is quite difficult for me.
How can I change the default language (English) into italian or an other language for the Maps App?

On my E72-1 I have to press the button for number 5 while the maps is displayed. After that, the compass changes the color to red, now you have to flip and turn the phone for a few seconds -> compass becomes yellow and green. Now the maps should turn when you turn.
(It worked some times this way for me, but not today. Maybe it's buggy or I changed a setting. Don't know.)

When I bring up the map & click on the Router the MAC & IP info are correct..
However the manufacture; Name, Model, & connection Name are wrong.. In fact I hada wireless router I tried to use and never got to work so I took it out, now it's name & model # show up here, and the extra printer I can't get to work on here is now the connection name, Is there a way I can change this manually

Do the following on each computer. Do not reinstall until Network Magic is removed from each computer, first. Installing Network Magic again on each computer, won't change a thing, if reinstalled right away.
Folder locations for Windows XP.
Uninstall Network Magic. Reboot.
Use Explore and remove the following folder and its sub-folders:
\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Pure Networks
\Program Files\Pure Networks
Still using Explore manually clean out your \Temp Folders. Run Disk Cleanup.
Reboot. Make sure that you are connected to the Router.
Reinstall Network Magic.

Change queue id in mapping possible?!

Hi guys,
is it possible to change the queue id of message in the mapping, so that this message
is added to the specified Queue during runtime for serialization reason?
I tried to use the parameter StreamTransformationConstants.CONVERSATION_ID from the global container in an UDF of a message mapping. The test in the message mapping was successful, but during runtime the mapping fails.
The error occurs that the the target field where this UDF is used could not be created.
I also searched for a solution using a java mapping but I there only seems to b a possibility to get the conversionID from the InputHeader (PI version 7.11) but no way to set it in the OutputHeader.
Any help appreciated

CONVERSATION_ID - It enables an ID to be used to group messages that belong together. This field is not intended to be used for message serialization and has nothing to do with the serialization context.
Therefore I don't think it would be that helpful in your case. Instead check this again from help.sap
QUEUE_ID: Only relevant for QUALITY_OF_SERVICE = u201DExactlyOnceInOrderu201D. The value in this field corresponds to the serialization context that a sender uses to bundle related asynchronous messages.

Change Document Names in Map of Documents

I am taking the attachments from a completed task and putting them into a map of documents variable. I was wondering if it is possible to change the names of the documents in the map? I would like to be able to add an identifier to each document in the map. Thanks.

The problem is that you put the id in quotes - which no longer evaluates the statement, but treats it as a litteral.
To make it easier on my feeble brain (especially when debugging using record/playback) I break it down into multiple steps in the same set value

How to change the values of Map Region Column "REGION_NAME"

Hi guys,
To correspond with the values in my "CITY" column, I have to change the values of Region_name column in the map..
region_name column contains the name of the territories in English
but City column in my table contains the names of the territories in Arabic.
To enable the link of the map, the values of both column ( CITY in my table, REGION_NAME in the map region ) should be identical.
How can I change the values of REGION_NAME COLUMN ???
This is the first time for me I deal with maps, and I hope my question is clear..

Solved by using the following code

this will bring the dropdown list into the variable particulars
then
for (var i = 1; i < particulars.nodes.length; i++)
p = particulars.nodes.item(i);
here p.value will have the dropdown line by line;
add your valdiations etc
