Changes to printed doc layout not being saved (Robohelp 8)

Whenever I make a change to the TOC in my printed document layout, (i.e., deleting a page or reorganizing the pages), the change is not saved. I have to completely rebuild that chapter. This worked fine in version 6, but is a consistent problem in version 8.

I don't think we're communicating well.
I understand that I only get the Save option if I access the layout via Properties, and that I only get the Finish option if I access the layout via Generate. Those are the two methods I am using. And neither of them will retain the changes I make to my printed document layout.
Please try these steps yourself and let me know if the change is saved for you:
1. Open the CCC sample project.
2. Open the Style Mapping printed document layout, using Properties or Generate.
3. Use the down arrow icon to move the page titled Celebrations beneath the page titled Phone Numbers.
4. Click Save or Finish.

Workspace layout not being saved

After the latest update to CC2014, the workspace no longer remembers my layout even though I save and sync. What happens is everytime I open an html file it splits the code & design(and live) views horizontally. With a wide screen this doesn't make sense, I want the screen split vertically with the code on the left. That means everytime I open an HTML file I have to change the split view and where the design/live view displays.
How do I correct this to save my preference or is this a bug?

Did you Delete Preferences & create a new custom workspace?

Officejet Pro L7555 - Scanned docs are not being saved to hard drive.

I've uninstalled & reinstalled the new HP/Windows 7 compatible software twice and I still can't get scanned docs to save to the hard drive. The scanning process looks like it's going thru all the steps. Even asking where I want to save the file. Unfortunately, no matter where I save it, there's nothing there. I even selected the 'pic to email' option but it won't send the file to my Outlook email program either. HELP!

I found a solution that worked for me on the topic "Windows 7 & 7310" . Below is the solution:
HP have created a new workaround to make it easier to fix this problem.
All you need to do now is go to the ftp site listed below and download and run the exe file.
This exe will recognize the version of the OS you are running and put the dll in the correct place.

Video Editing changes to inpoint and outpoint not being saved when exporting.

I'm editing .mov 1080p video clips from my DSLR in Lightroom 4.4. I,m using the slider bar to set a new "inpoint" and "outpoint," shortening the video. When I export, I am using the original format and new file name. Lightroom tells me the video is shorter in length, but when I play it back in Windows, the new file is the original length. What am I failing to do/see here? I'm using Win 7

In my experience when you export in the original format (MOV) you lose all adjustments, including length shortemimg.
Maybe someone can explain what the use is of this setting?
The adjustments are only reflected when exporting as H.264 (MP4) and maybe DPX which I never have used.

Remember: we cannot see your machine. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Basic things like :
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For instance: 'iPhoto won't export' is best explained by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted?
- Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

The link you posted gives be a 404 not found message.
The reason you're getting the repeat is because your site name is wilgenroos.nl and the first page of your site is wilgenroos.
The standard URL for domain names that are forwarded with the CNAME method is:
http://www.domain_name.com/site_name/page_name.html.
You can change the site and page names in iWeb to give you something more informative about the site and page.
If you're publishing to a 3rd party server and want to get rid of the site name in the url and only have
http://www.domian_name.com/page_name.html
do the following:
publish the site to a folder on your hard drive (already done)
use Cyberduck to upload just the contents of your site folder to the root folder of your account on the server.
You should delete the old site folder and files that are currently there beforehand.

Changes in the value of the Arc property "Include in DDL Script" is not being saved.

I have arcs in my design that I want that the automatic DDL code not being generated because the FK are compound and the code generated for the validation of the arc in these more complex cases is not correct, so I created an explicit constraint on the table for this validation.
But the problem is that the Arc property "Include into DDL Script" is not being saved into the design.
If I unchecked the option for the arc and generate or preview the DDL the arc code is not generated.
But when I save the project, close and reopen the arcs have this option enabled again.
I've been checking the xml files for the arcs and this property is not being included, then by default generates always.

File Options not being saved

I appologize if this is the wrong forum, but I did a search and failed to find a related subject.
When I click on File>Options then modify them the way I want to, then close Designer 2008 and reopen it, they're back to the default values.
How can I retain my options even after closing designer and reopenning?

What version of Crystal are you using?
Are you a local PC Administrator also?
Try right clicking on the crw32.exe and selecting Run As Administrator and then change them.
Are you clicking the OK or Save button after making changes or simply closing the window using top right X button?
Those options are saved to the registry, only reason they are not being saved is you don't have permission or some anti-virus software or Restore Point is writing the original settings back when you close CR.
You may want to check with your IT people to see if they have pushed out some sort our Profile update that doesn't allow you to keep changes to the registry.
After making the changes and you create a new report do you see the changes? Don't close the designer.

Window preferences not being saved

Hi there -
Using InDesign CS4 on Windows XP. A few days ago a problem started happening - whenever I close InDesign, my preferences for which windows (Tools, Pages, Links, Character) I have open are not being saved. Takes me 3-4 minutes every time i open InDesign to put everything back the way it should be.
I've installed updates, no dice, and have deleted the preferences file as suggested by this thread:http://forums.adobe.com/thread/526990
Any other steps I can take?

Those things are saved as part of the workspace. It sounds as if the current workspace file has become corrupt. Close ID, then go to your user profile and you'll find the workspaces folder under \Application Data\Adobe\InDesign\Version 6.0\<language>\Workspaces. Delete the "current" xml file for the workspace and restart ID. The workspace will be restored to the conditions set when it was saved, but hopefully will remember changes again when you close the program.

Notes are not being Saved

Recently upgraded to an iPhone 3G S from the first generation iPhone. Synced my phone and everything is fine, but when I use the Notes application the notes are not being saved. Anyone know of a way to fix this?

Ensure that the "sync notes" box is checked in iTunes. Also note that the notes syncing feature doesn't work very well yet.
If you have a note on both the phone and the computer, and you change/update the one on the phone, the next time you sync the computer version will over write the phone version.

FTP settings not being saved

I moved my Dreamweaver 8 to a Win 7 machine and after installing the 8.02 update the FTP settings, user and password, are not being saved. I tried the regedit alterations with no joy. Any thing new for Win 7?

Mouse settings are not being saved

I just did a clean install of Lion (10.7.5) on a new SSD in a mac pro 1,1 and am having problems with my mouse settings. The settings are not being saved. When I change any of the buttons, nothing changes.
It's not a hardware problem with the mouse. If I boot up to my previous os drive, lion 10.7.5, the mouse settings are correct and function properly.

FOrgot to add, this is the basic wired mouse. I've also tried the wireless bluetooth mighty mouse as well with the exact same results.

Recently, my passwords on many websites are not being saved, forcing me to log in every 15 minutes or so. Is anyone else experiencing this? I am wondering if it is a result of a "bad" update?

For the past few weeks, I have noticed that passwords on many different websites are not being saved. I literally have to log back into each page every 15 minutes or so. Is this the result of a bad software update? Have an appointment at the Genius Bar tomorrow but if this can be resolved without going in, it would be preferred.

For what it's worth, you posted this in 2011, and here in 2014 I am still having this same issue. Over the last two days, I have had to unlock my apple account 8 times. I didn't get any new devices. I haven't initiated a password reset. I didn't forget my password. I set up two factor authentication and have been able to do the unlocking with the key and using a code sent to one of my devices.
That all works.
It's this having to unlock my account every time I go to use any of my devices. And I have many: iMac, iPad, iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPod touch (daughter), and my old iPhone 4 being used as an ipod touch now. They are all synced, and all was working just fine.
I have initiated an incident with Apple (again) but I know they are just going to suggest I change my Apple ID. It's a simple one, and one that I am sure others think is theirs. I don't want to change it. I shouldn't have to. Apple should be able to tell me who is trying to use it, or at least from where.

I am having a persistent problems with the application tabs i pin not being saved. sometimes, they are not present when i re-open the browser.

i have 3 sites i have repeatedly saved as an app tab. on the rare occasions i exit my browser, my pinned tabs are missing. furthermore, when i attempt to "restore previous session", the tabs that were open may be restored but the pinned tabs are ALWAYS missing and never restored.

Be sure you close Firefox properly File (or "Firefox") > Exit not with the "x" in the upper right corner.
Just because app-tabs will carry over from one session to another does not mean that they are fool proof or should be relied on., I keep mine in a bookmarks folder and replenish app-tabs from there when needed. It is also nice to have the "Tab Handler" to work with tabs and change all or a selection of tabs to app-tabs at once.
