When my -year-old son is sleeping I have to use headphones instead of speakers, so I have to be able to switch back and forth between the two. I?have?Logitech 5. speakers with a headphone passthrough, so I use that. The problem is that?if I change the speaker selection in the audio console to headphones, the next time I log into my computer, it gets set back to 5. and the volume setting is maxed. If I have the headphones on, it is likely to deafen me. Also, if I forget to re-set it to headphones, it messes up games that use positional audio because I won't be able to hear sounds in front of or behind me. How do I get the speaker selection to stay on a single setting between user sessions?
I have had that error before but that was when i was beta testing vista, the bug was "fixed" by creative amazingly. There used to be a problem where you weren't able to choose 5.,Anyway?have you tried going to:Control panel --> system --> device manager --> sound and video or game controllers?, then right clicking your sound card, then uninstalling it if you get the option to remove installed drivers as well then check the box. After doing this redownload the latest creative drivers and installing them then reboot and see if it fixes it.Always when told to reboot by anything make sure to reboot, and if you get any add new hardware wizards appear click "don't show this message again" then run the creative installer. Also if your installer comes up with an error asking for disk please follow my other "fix" for this problem posted on this forums. ThanksJad"Vista Beta Tester"

How to change language in speak selection
Hello!
Once i bought my fourth gen ipod touch, default voice in "voice over" and "Speak selection" was British Eglish.
Some day i had to restore my ipod,and i did, after that default language was US English with female voice!
I found out how to change language in "Voice Over",even found Russian(no necesserity in using it, but its one of my native languages). Still "Speak sellection" was US English.
When i turn Voice over on, it speaks selection with right language, but it's very hard to operate every time to just hear pronaunciaton of one word(that could be spoken with submenu of "copy,paste,cut,define,speak")
So i'm wondering,why does changing language of "VoiceOver" not affect speak sellection in normal mode? and how to make it speak different languages?

1)The Speak selection were very useful built in ultility since IOS 5 , however that were massive importment after IOS 7 which able to read miscellangeous languagues without changing devices to certian languge, but bug still present once you write the word in your text message box in selection the word & press speak , the OS able to speak for only first time, mute for second attempt! what i need to do is , quit or reselection again this word & press the speak button again to enable read function again.
2) i wish speak selection still keep preserve as IOS 7 which allow press the message & more option appear speak , which allow OS help me read the mandarin or others languages rather than copy whole message & paste to message box & press more -> speak. That will be other inconvinience way to make it read message by individually. as i known, IOS 8 add in features which only use both fingers drag from top of time can activicated the speak,read fucntion ,but this only read whole the screen for this message.For Apple to see your request, you need to repost it at

Hi, im currently using an iPhone 5 16GB and I'm having problems with the selection tool. the main issues are in safari but also appear in other browsers and apps. The first problem is that the selection tool is very buggy, it tends to select all the text (both up and down) when I'm simply trying to select a small section and will sometimes scroll up or down very quickly without me having to hold the selection near the top or bottom edges of the screen. The speak selection speed also seems to be stuck on one speed no matter what i change it to in accessibility's and there has been times where nothing happens when i click on 'speak'. I tend to copy what i need and paste it in notes which which seems to handle selection and speak selection alright. This problem has been off and off but it seems to persist in safari.

When you go to Settings>General>Accessibility>Speech, and you turn on the Speak Selection button, at the bottom of the screen you will see a slider bar with a Turtle on the left and a Rabbit on the right. Slide to the left to slow down the speaking rate.

Why won't "speak selection" accessibility feature work to read iBooks or PDFs?
I have discovered that in iOS 5 there is a "speak selection" feature that can be turned on in Accessibility. I like this versus Voice Over for students who need to hear text aloud because it bypasses all the changes of how the iPad works when Voice Over is turned on. However, it doesn't appear to work with PDFs? Can anyone help? Is there an app that will read PDFs aloud? "Speak selection" is working great in Safari or for e-mails.
Speak selection for PDFs works in iBooks on iOS 6.1.

I bought my Audigy (laptop version supporting 5. and probably up to 7.) soundcard during Christmas and its been working just fine. I haven't changed the settings much apart from when I first set it up. The computer often is either connected to 5. speakers or just standard earphone and I believe the sound card adjusts automatically.
I moved back to uni yesterday and tried to setup the speakers again, but found that there was no speaker selection available in the dropdown menu as usual (2. etc.etc.) I tried restarting the computer afew times, and changing the Audio settings in Cpanel to no avail.
Any help would be really appreciated

For reference, I use Logitech 5300s 5. with Audigy2 ZS Notebook soundcard.
After some testing and valiant replugging the system started working again

speak selection don't work in all apps use text is example pictures with text apps the first 1 is the e-mail app you can see the speak selection bar. in there and the second app is the kik app you can only see the copy bar. only is a away to turn it on for all apps use text? and i know about voiceover but that is not I want i can see fine but i can't read good. can some body help me out?

Question about the sensor... just got my 4s yesterday after screwing up my 3 with the laterd version update. EVery call I have been on has either changed to speaker, called another number or ended the call or activated facetime, which I have turned off. never had this trouble with my 3...I don't even want to talk to anyone on this phone! Is the sensor bad? That is what the AT&t rep suggested.
Restore as new... if the problem still continues then there is a hardware issue.
If it stops after a restore as new, then the issue is with the backup the device is currently setup with. -
How can you change your line access selection? I have found where you can change your plan selection, but can you change the line access fee or is that a set amount?

Great question. The line access fees for the account are a set amount and can not be changed unless you are going from a basic to a smartphone or vice versa. If you are wondering about adding the month to month discount if you are out of contract Ann154 has provided great information on how to access and add the feature.

I think in your Production system infopackages are set to not changeble,
Make it Changeble then it works.
RSA1 --> Transport Connection --> Object changebility --> Infopackage --> from context menu choose --> comple changeble.
After this no need to open client. To do above changes may need to open client.

Can't figure out why colors don't totally change when you select type with curser? It looks like it has by looking at it, but when you highlight the area after the old color is still there. It happens with objects to. Driving me NUTZ. Help!
Select the text, and open the Appearance palette (Come on guys, text highlight is irrelevant, it happens to objects too says the OP), and see what's listed there. For a simple text object, there should only be a line item "Type", followed by "Characters", and when double-clicked the Characters line item expands to tell you the stroke and fill color. For a basic object, there should be a fill and/or stroke.
What happens sometimes, is that you end up adding extra strokes/fills to objects or text, and the appearance palette is where that will be noted. Especially when you are dealing with groups, and/or picking up a color with the eyedropper, you may inadvertently be adding a fill or stroke on top of something. You can drag those unwanted thingies from the Appearance palette into its own little trash can. -
Background color change question - only selecting the footer
I use the darkroom theme and was curious about changing the page background color. Right now my settings use the darkroom theme 'right out of the box' which is 'image fill' on both the page and browser background. That is the textured look.
When I try to change the color, selecting 'color fill' instead of 'image fill', it only changes the footer - not the entire page background.
I'm guessing it's not possible to change a color using the 'image fill.' You get 'image fill' in black or gray as shown and that is it, except should you decide to use your own image, which I do not.
Any way to be able to have a change apply to the entire page and not just the footer?
Suggestions welcome.I tried to do the same just see what the problem was and failed. It is probably 'cos the top layer is independant of the page background or browser background. Even when I had page background none and altered the browser background it made no difference. If you want anything different try using a blank black or white theme and putting your own graphics on there. You can make quite nice backgrounds if you have a decent paint or photo program.

How do I change the image selected for the finalized movies pane in all events? I made a movie some time ago in iMovie, and a still from this now appears as the image for Finalized Movies in the All Events pane (as well as showing up if I then click on this pane to take me to Finalized Movies). Anyone know how to change or delete this image, please?

1. Belonging to the Administrators Group, I replaced file Owner TrustedInstaller with my Username on both "img100.png" files

I copied and pasted it to both "img100.png" files keeping this way the format (extension) and resolution of the original "img100.png" file,
which I permanently deleted.
However, I have not been able to replace the img100.pgn in C:\Windows\Web\Screen even after taking ownership of it and setting the permissions for my userid to All. I edit it with mspaint and then try to save it. The save starts that then says the
save was interrupted.
The appears to be some additional protection besides the standard acls.

I got a problem regarding layouts for objectoriented ALV Grid. I want to make it possible that user can take the layout for ALV he wants to on the selection screen. So far thats no problem and it works. But there are some little problems which I do not know how to fix them. But first the facts:
(1) I got my parameter for layout
PARAMETER: p_vari TYPE disvariant-variant.
(2) I fill my global layout structure in initialization

This works all fine but I got some problems when using default variants/layouts. For example I got a default variant only for me. When starting the selection screen it works fine that the default layout was written. It is displayed automatically in the variant parameter. But I want that if i I empty the content (blank it out) from my variant parameter, that report should start with "normal" layout how it was written in the report and NOT with default layout.
When I clear the gs_variant it works like I want it, but then the alv layout button looks like (without functions for layout), because I do not have the reference to my report.
So what to do? :-)

I did not use this parameter in set table method but now I fill it dynamically.
Ok next problem, one step harder ;-)
Now I have one selection screen for one ALV-Grid, but four radio buttons which control with which data the ALV gets filled (four different fieldcats, data tables and so on). Each Grid got an own HANDLE so that the layouts can be separated in four categories.
Now I want that by changing the radio button the individual standard layout for the chosen alv grid is getting filled.
This works fine when using it in selection screen output.
AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.

But unfortunately selection screen output is getting passed by EACH changing in the selection screen. This means when I try to clear the default layout in my parameter field, it gets refilled automatically with default layout. If I do a condition around the filling (only if not initial) the default value filling does not work fine in every case, e.g. when clearing the parameters field and then change the radiobutton -> then it does not get filled automatically.
