Changes to the welcome / login page of the portal

Dear SAP Gurus,
I've read all possible material on sdn, and I am still struggling with this. We have SP16 on our java server. The Basis team has provided me with the par file from the location
<J2EE_Engine_Instance>\j2ee\cluster\server<X>\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\deployment\pcd.
com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par.bak.
. When i unzip the par file, I can see the two folders portal-inf & meta-inf. Now I am trying to open the par file in nwds and I get the following error message.
The plugin "com.sap.portal.plugins.config-archiver" caused an exception during the "unpack" operation.
See the log for more details.
Invalid CEN header (bad signature) Reason: Sorry an error occured creating the new project.
I am using a standalone version of nwds which is not connected to the the java server yet.
1) How do i see the log file in nwds?
2) SP14 on nwds and SP16 on java server is that what is causing the conflict?
3) Do I need to upgrade and how do i upgrade

Try do this.
1) Copy the file com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par.bak
<J2EE_Engine_Instance>\j2ee\cluster\server<X>\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\deployment\pcd\com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par.bak
2) Remove the .bak by the file com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par.bak (just rename)
3) Copy the files com.sap.portal.runtime.logon_api.jar and umelogonbase.jar
<J2EE_Engine_Instance>\j2ee\cluster\server<X>\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\portal\portalapps\com.sap.portal.runtime.logon\lib\
4) Open the NWDS
5) Import the .PAR file (com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par)
File --> Import --> PAR file --> Button Next
Achive file name: (looking for the file com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par)
Project Name: com.<companyname>.portal.runtime.logon
Click Button Finish
6) Put the files com.sap.portal.runtime.logon_api.jar and umelogonbase.jar into your application.
com.<companyname>.portal.runtime.logon\dist\PORTAL-INF\lib\
7) Right Button inside your app --> Export --> PAR File --> Next (Button) --> select your app --> Next (Button) --> Configure servers settings (Button) --> Add.. (Button) --> set the information and OK (Button) --> Apply (Button) --> OK (Button)
Enable the Include the source code of the portal application and Deploy PAR
put the password --> Finish (Button).
Now the application was deployed in portal.
8) Open the Configtools
<J2EE_Engine_Instance>\j2ee\configtool\configtool.bat
9) Click in button "Switch to configuration editor mode.
10) Configuration --> cluster_data --> server --> persistent --> com.sap.security.core.ume.service
11) Download the file authschemes.xml
12) Rename the file authschemes.xml to authschemes_<yourcompany>.xml
13) Open the file authschemes_<yourcompany>.xml
14) Change all string "com.sap.portal.runtime.logon" to "com.<yourcompany>.portal.runtime.logon"
This is the name of your application.
15) Upload the file authschemes_<yourcompany>.xml in the same path.
Set to Edit Node --> Right mouse Button inside the com.sap.security.core.ume.service --> Create sub-node --> File Entry (ListBox) --> Upload (Button) --> find the file authschemes_<yourcompany>.xml --> Open (Button) --> Create (Button).
16) Click in button Switch config tool mode
17) Global Server configuration --> Services --> com.sap.security.core.ume.service
18) Change the parameter login.authschemes.definition.file to authschemes_<yourcompany>.xml
19) Click Set (Button) and Save.
20) Restart the Portal.
For check just Rigth Mouse Button inside the image in Logon Page --> Properties
Look the parameter Address (URL)
http://<Hostaname>:<port>/irj/portalapps/com.yourcompany.portal.runtime.logon/layout/branding-image.jpg

Dear forum,
I want to add additional text to the default login page of the Webcenter domain, so the http://<server_name>:16200/<domain_name> page.
How can this best be done? Is it configurable via the Weblogic console somehow?

Unable to change the default login page

I would to change the default login page (to /content/ethz_ch/Login)
I configured tha page by "Day CQ Login Selector Authentication Handler":
In ./launchpad/config/com/day/cq/auth/impl/LoginSelectorHandler.config I see
auth.loginselector.defaultloginpage="/content/ethz_ch/Login"
as expected.
I then configured a page (/content/ethz_ch/de/auth_test.html) with a closed user group and left the login page field blank.
Instead on the newly defined login page I am redirected to
https://..../system/sling/cqform/defaultlogin.html?resource=%2Fcontent%2Fethz_ch%2Fde%2Fauth_test.html&$$login$$=%24%24login%24%24
Any idea on what I am doing wrong?

How to insert an username from the login page to the form page

Hi friends,
I created one database apex application in which it consist of three pages...
1)login page----->1
2)form page along with report page(in same page) i.e. i created a report region within a form region
3)form page(this page appears when i click the edit option in my previous report page
(i.e.) my 3rd form page depends upon my 2nd report page, as soon after i click the edit option of each and every row in my report which is in 2nd page it has to go to the corresponding 3rd form page for making an updations in each and every row...
I have created my above listed applications....
But the scenario for me is since the login page contains two fields, that is
user name:
password:
so i will be giving my name in the user name and also respective PW for accessing to my 2nd and 3rd page in my application...
Since my 2nd form page consist of following fields like
*) user name---------->
*) assigned to
*) status
*) start date
*) priority
so my requirement over here is soon after i logging into my application through the user name and PW into second page, while coming to the second form page
my user name field in my 2nd form page has to get inserted automatically with the user name that i have entered in the login page...
example: my user_name in login page is :harry
after going into the second form page with the user name "harry"
the field of my 2nd form page "username" has to get automatically generated with the name "harry"
Whether it is possible friends to do this in my application....i doesn't have any idea of it...Kindly help me friends to solve my scenario...please explain each and every steps in detailed manner...
Since the user_name: harry, is of I got from the admin side as a developer for the workspace......

I made the following changes that you said, but there is just a one change in it...
You told these changes
Source Used: always, replacing any existing values in session state.
Source Type: Database column
Source value or expression: (respective column name)
and in Default: u need to give-----> &APP_USER.(exactly the same including the full stop)....

Hi Martin, many thanks for replying. Let me know how this could effect in not getting the login page. I have checked in my application,it is by default "No application authorization required " and other option is " must not be a public user " . Should i change it to " must not be a public user from no application authorization required"

Don't see Windows NT option in authentication tab on the CMC login page

I installed BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 and installation was successful. We are using Widows NT athentication. I mapped the Window NT Users. Window NT Users group was populated under u2018users and groupu2019. Everything looks fine.The problem is that I am not able to see Windows NT option in authentication tab on the CMC login page. (I can see only Enterprise, LDAP and Windows AD). I can see Windows NT option in authentication tab on the infoview login page without problem.
I tried to reconfig the web.xml file ( I replaced 'secEnterprise' with 'secWindowsNT' but it still doesnu2019t work).
web.xml in E:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\warfiles\WebApps\CmcApp\WEB-INF is as followed now

Sherri, on page 457 of the admin guide it says:
"The CMC and other Java-based applications do not support NT
authentication."
I think it's because only windows based app supports windows NT authentication but not java based ones.
I thinkt he CMC is a java based application.

If the admin type of column in database is true then it must allow the admin to certain page. Otherwise it must not redirect. So i have used this logic. When i am checking it is showing everything true,but it is not redirecting and it is saying that login failed. Please try the above code with a sample database table and verify it. Login Failed or Admin doesn't exist The above output describes that it is moving the cursor from first row to the last row and checking all the usernames i n each row with the given username, and it is also checking wheter it is admin or not. Currently i have three rows so it is moving three times. It is retreiving every value correctly but in comparing it is not comparing. What to do.

The buttons are all created using the same library object (but MC), except for the code you have in the revised file does not call on that for the con button.
You have it calling on something with a linkage name of "con", which a quick check tells me doesn't exist--so it is undefined in the code when you try to use it. I found this by using trace(newConBut._x); after its _x value was assigned, as I mentioned you should try.   So the first thing you want to do is change the following line from...
var newConBut = _root.attachMovie("con", "conbut", _root.getNextHighestDepth());
To
var newConBut = _root.attachMovie("but", "conbut", _root.getNextHighestDepth());
so that it uses the but MC that serves that purpose in the library. Then you want to correct the _x assignment of the buttons to what I think you had earlier...

newRecBut._x = newConBut._x-newRecBut._width;
Here is a picture of what those changes do (note, without the XML file I had to finagle things just to work, so the biutton labels aren't what they will be)...

Issue with adding a new value to the Default Login Page

Hopefully this is an easy one guys, I've added a select list item to the standard login page (P101) to allow the user to select a DOMAIN as well as entering their username and password.
When the next page is displayed and I try to retrieve the value held in the new field it has been cleared, but the values entered into items
P101_USERNAME and P101_PASSWORD are still present.
I can't figure out why the values held in items P101_USERNAME and P101_PASSWORD are still present but P101_DOMAIN has been cleared.
I've tried creating a value on page zero and writing the domain value to it using pl/sql and javascript but as soon as the next page is requested the value is cleared.
Any Ideas how to get around this????

I suppose your login page contains a process like this:

please note the random number assigned to you. Once you login, the same number will appear on the page 1 (near to the top).
So, that is how you could solve your problem.
   :t_random_numberis an application item.

Unfortunatly the only way that you can get it off is to get the old user to input the password. You may need to contact that old user and see if he can put the old password in. hope this helps.

Using "View Selector" in the List View Web Part, changes the web part page to the view selected's page.

I am relatively new to Web Parts pages. I created a page with list view web part and a Infopath Form Web Part, which are connect via the "Get Form From" option. My users would like to be able to use views dependent on what
they are looking for. So I created different views. However, when I select the view from within the Web Part, it changes the web part page to the list view page. I must be doing something wrong. How do I configure the list view to show
the selected view and results within the existing "list view web part"?

Sorry, but this has not been answered to my liking. The "List View Web Part" has the ability for the user to select the view from within the web part, so there you should be able to select a different view and have it appear within the same web part.
Does anyone know how to complete this task?

How do you bypass the Welcome\Registration page after a Netinstall complete

Hi all,
I am currently trying to use Snow Leopard server 10.62 to deploy Snowleopard to a number of MacBooks.
I have a list of apps to go in to the build but for now i need to get past the first stage.
first stage being, It is possible to bypass the Welcome \ Registration pages after a Netinstall deployment.
i wish to use a clean image with a computer name given from the SIU and bind in to AD
all this seems to fail but i can get an automated build but then i have to go through all the pages of registration...how do i get around this?
I have also played about with NetRestore images but in the Define NetRestore Source in the SIU i have not idea what that ASR:// URL should be so it instantly fails

I have had success with the following SIU 2 workflow:
- Define Image Source (select a master hard drive to be cloned)
- Create Image (Netrestore type)
Note that I am using "Define Image Source" NOT "Define NetRestore Source".
Neither "Apply System Configuration Settings" nor "Enable Automated Installation" are currently functional in Snow Leopard. Do not go there.
