Changing a datalist in a Duplicated scrollpanel

Hi,
I built a portfolio, with some categories in it and a scrollpanel with a datalist in the first catagory,
I want to duplicate the first scrollpanel with the datalist to all the categories, and change the datalist in the other categoris,
my problem is that when I change the datalist in the ion of categories, the changes applied to all the categories including the first category.
How can I duplicate a scrollpanel with a datalist and make it a standalone?

If I understand correctly, you've converted an Excel file to PDF, but now need to edit the PDF file? Pricing Condition is Duplicating on Changing the Variants in Quotation !

I have a requirement, where the Pricing Condition (Custom Pricing Condition Specific to the Variant Pricing) is duplicating on changing the Variants in Quotation to be stopped or deleted. I suppose, the variant pricing condition should not be newly added to the pricing table each time, there is a change in the material variants as chosen by the business/user with the Quotation. Instead, I assume, the existing cost for the variant pricing condition should update each time, when the variant material is changed by the user. I am not sure, whether this issue can be controlled in the configuration? or Can I control the occurrence of the duplicate pricing condition inside any user exit by deleting the duplicate condition, but retaining the newly added ( Recently added pricing table entry for that condition)? I am not sure, what are the possibilities to fix this issue? Appreciate if you could provide me with a suitable solution.

i have written a pricing condition at the characteristic level using pricing Factors. however when i change the characteristic. it is duplicating the condition instead of refreshing it.

Track changes showing multiple entries for a single change?

Hi there .. I'm using Pages '09 v4.1 to edit MS Word '97 documents. I've been using the 'track changes' feature to work on chapters in a book and have done so with no problems so far (about 6 chapters so far in separate files). I went to start the next chapter and noticed that when I make a single change such as highlighting a word and making it italic, the tracking bubbles will show up as individual entries for every letter instead of for a single word. The really annoying thing is that it's not consistent .. some whole-word changes show up as a single entry, while some show as a few entries but don't necessarily correspond to how many letters are in the word being changed. When I try deleting specific tracking bubbles to see which part of the word they correspond to, it varies. For example, if I put the word "similar" in italics on page one, paragraph one, it shows up as 2 entries. When I delete the last entry, "imilar" will go back to standard font, while "s" stays italic until I delete the other entry. It's as though the words in the document are being recognized based on something other than the obvious, and certain letters are being grouped together in the program's brain, while others are separate.
It's not isolated to italics, btw. If I reformat the entire document to be left-aligned instead of center-aligned, it will show lots of separate tracking bubbles in various places through the document, rather than showing one bubble for my single change.
I've tried duplicating and saving a new version of the document, as well as creating a new doc and pasting everything into that and saving as a new doc, though I wasn't sure if this would carry over the problem .. It did.
It's not the end of the world as far as finishing this job, but it's pretty annoying and will be worse for the person who ultimately verifies the changes I've made. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Changing the account name of a song

As the subject says, I recently changed my email address and one of my songs is in the old Email Address/Account Name. I cannot access the song on my Ipod, How do I change this??

duckredbeard, that question gets asked every so often. It is really personal preference, and depends on your hearing & speakers. I thought the old 128 kbps AAC files from itunes store were fine and have seen no reason to pay for the 256kbps itunes plus versions.
I know a lot of folks think they are audiophiles, and I know some really are. However I'm not. I don't have bad hearing, it's just I can't really tell the difference with the speakers I've got.
My advice is to temporarily take up even MORE room on your hard drive by burning some of your favorite tracks at different settings, and see what works for you.

Not that I know of. I would run far, far away from any program that claimed to do so. You can't convert a file and delete the original at the same time. You can convert a file and then delete the original. Which doesn't have to be painful and time consuming, at all:
You can use itunes to convert files, then to get rid of the originals, File > Show Duplicates. Sort them by the Date Added column. The newest songs added to the library (such as the converted songs) will be near the top or botton. You can then simply select all the songs that were added before you did the mass convert and delete these. Just beware that if you don't scrutinize the list of songs you are about to delete, you might end up deleting some songs you want to keep.

Cannot Edit Duplicated Compositions(CS6)

Situation.
1) Dowloaded a project from Video Copilot.
2) Imported The Project into the project I'm working on(VCProject into a lyric video)
3)Duplicated The Project IN THE PROJECT BIN(This is still inside a folder, maybe this is my problem)
4) I still get changes across ALL of the duplicated comps. I copied the precomps and replaced them as well, still gave me the same thing. Ctrl + D'ed and manually copied them.
I know this has been discussed, but I need a clear cut reason as to why this is happening. I've done duplications before so I know I'm not insane in saying I'm doing something wrong, but what is it?
I can upload a video if necessary, I don't think anyone's done that.

Every pre-comp or nested comp that is inside a duplicated comp needs to also be duplicates. AE builds everything in a composition from a reference to source file whether it is footage, a nested comp, or a solid. If the reference, the nested comp, the footage, or even the solid is not changed things don't change in the duplicated comp.
Did you follow that?

Duplicating Dreamweaver CC site

I found the "Duplicate Site" function in the Site Manager interface but can find little on how to use it. With any program, there are normally some pitfalls to something that looks easy, so can anyone steer me to a learning source on duplication, or better yet, tell me how to do it.

Duplicate: Creates a copy of an existing site. To duplicate a site, select the site in the site list and click the Duplicate button. The duplicated site appears in the site list with the word “copy” appended to the name of the site. To change the name of the duplicated site, leave the site selected and click the Edit button.

Make a duplicated composition unique???

Hi a Quick question, if I have a composition and when i duplicate it in the timeline can I make that a unique composition or do i have to go to the project tab and duplicate it there then copy and paste all animation and effects from the original composition, that gets kind of time consuming if I have many composition inside every composition.

if I duplicate a nested hierarchy using True Comp Duplicator, does the duplicate structure become truly unique? in other words, if I go in and change part(s) of the duplicated subcomps, will the original remain unchanged?

Itunes won't open - referenced memory error

I too cannot get itunes to open. Keep getting an error message regarding referenced memory that cannot be read. The instruction is different each time - first it was 0x0b011200 then 0xf80114ed then 0x97011534 - then is has the click ok to terminate or cncel to debug - no matter which I do it doesn't open.

Check your hard drive space? Perhaps you're low on space there.
Maybe the change from 6 to 7 duplicated some of your songs (I know my library had some duplicate songs, however I cannot confirm the cause or time of duplication since I hadn't cleaned out my Library for a week or so).

inside the BPM i m doing a simple one to one interface mapping between MI_AA_fileSender and MI_AA_fileDestination AND then use a send step to send it to receiver service. But inside the graphical editor, for the message maaping in the interface mapping, i change the target structure a bit by duplicating <rec_number> making it:

See, XI won't realize, by default, a schema validation in your messages. If you want a validation, you'll have to implement one, as described in

However, for some particular steps in BPM, I have observed that an invalid XML will some times result in a error in BPM execution. In particular, if you have switch steps, container operation steps and/or correlations where you use a particular field of that message, it may throw some exception when you have an invalid xml. Also, I have observed some errors with conditional receiver determination for invalid messages.
As a best practice, if you have any kind of dependency on a particular message inside your system (like switches, container operations, correlations, condition in receiver or interface determination etc), it is a good idea to implement a schema validation.
Also, if you do want to create a thrustable scenario, you might want to perform schema validation for all your output messages.

Mavericks - minor enhancement or total re-write ?

I'm confused. Moving from 10.8 to 10.9 would indicate a minor update, but the massive amount of problems being reported from BlueTooth through the Gmail Emails maked me wonder what on earth has been changed. I mean what was wrong with the old email.
As a developer myself I would have assumed that you take something which is tried and tested and working well and just extend it - but the reports I'm reading imply that huge swaiths of logic and functionality have been re-written from scratch - why ? Has someone lost the origin source code ? Are they trying to avoid a legal copyright issue - what gives. I've been with OSX for 4 years now and had no worries about the upgrade to Mavericks because of the excellent track record of quality control in the past. Now I"m shocked and loosing confidence in the apple infrastructure - this is a major disaster.
I spoke to Apple Care yesterday after the Apple Mail update as I was still having weird problems with the Mail application and my Gmail accounts and was very dissapointed that the person I was chatting to was completely unaware of the widely publicised problems. Eventually I had to paste links to their own website describing the problem and the update.
So - can anyone "in the know" describe what's going on here. Had I know the scope of the changes I would have definately not upgraded. For me to go back to Mountain Lion is a 2-3 day job as I have a complicated development enviroment and a number of non Apple Store installs to re-apply.
Today I also had a grey screen appear for no apparent reason. Thought the machine had crashed, but pressing the power button resulted in a pop-up dialog appearing and asking me if I would like to shutdown or reboot.
Sigh.....
So sad.
Problems I've had myself.
Finder crashing - usually during shutdown
Bluetooth for mouse and tethering - hopeless and unusable.
Grey screens
Lots of app updates for incompatibilites - including having to pay for OSX Server new version which was not publicised until it was too late
Gmail messages - well documented - for me I keep getting messages which have been read reappearing as unread.
Mailbox Behavoir preferences can't be saved (you click save but the changes dont keep)
Mailbox accounts duplicated across devices due to iCloud Sync
Event log full of crash and hang messages
I feel sorry for the people who have had their time machine backups wiped due to incompatibilies with external drives.
I use carbon copy to clone my disk, but I don't have an ML backup to restore from now.
In summary this comes across as a huge change rather than a minor tweak/enhancement.
I'd love to have access to an official know bug list to see what they are likely to work ok. You can read the forums yes - but given my disappointing conversation with Apple Care this is no guarantee that the problem has found it's way back to the people who can fix it.

No. 10.8 to 10.8.1 would indicate a minor update as would 10.8.1 to 10.8.2. Mavericks was a completely upgraded system. Thus the diffent name and different OSX no. 10.9 It was clearly advertiised as a new operating system on the download site of the Ap Store. I have had no issues with it all on my 5 Macs. Most of what you are reading is caused by failing hardware or Incompatable third party Apps. If bugs arise in this first release, they will be addressed as they have always been.

As i used i movie 06 before....
after i imported the videos in to the library, then i can drag the videos to the timeline(now is project)
then edit it.
After that i can just drag all the timeline clips which is edited to the library.So I can keep it for next time if i wanna re-edit.
But Now if did all the editing at the library clips then drag to project, i can not drag the project clips back to library, so how can i keep it for my editing safty?
I do not wanna to edit again the same clips from the library!!! as i need to edit many different short clips together then export to individual videos, and i may need to re-edit.
or i can keep the edited video in project, then i can selected the clips which i willing to export, the rest video who in the project will not be export at the same video? I m wondering....

Just keep the project. Then you can just duplicate the project and make the next set of changes as needed. By duplicating the project, you are not duplicating the event, just the links to the event library.
This way you are not eating up disk space.

How to find possible problem clip(s)

My current project has over 500clips. The majority are video (~400) with some cross fades. There are a few titles (9) ,some stills and some audio tracks. Not enough FX to cause problems I think.
Somewhere in there there seems to be a clip (or more than one) that causes the RAM to fill up more than other projects and the fan to run at high speed. Had the constant fan running issue in the previous version (10.0.7) but that cleared up in 10.0.8. This happens as soon as I launch FCPX with that project selected. The other problem is that as my RAM fills up the system response slows down. Even my mouse movements show on the screen as jerky and inaccurate.
I've deleted preferences with Preference Manager and only have the one project visible to FCP - that doesn't change anything. Also tried duplicating the project and deleting render files - again no improvement.
So my question is do any of you have any suggestions? I'd love to stop the high speed fan running all the time. If this is an issue with a bad clip (or several) is there any way I can find the problem short of going through and removing them one by one until I either find the problem or go crazy trying?
MBP, 10.7.5, i7, 8 gb RAM

Codecs: AAC, H.264 (GoPro footage) and H.264, Linear PCM (Panasonic HDC-TM700 footage)
Audio: 48 kHz from GoPro and Panasonic cameras, 44.1 kHz recorded music. Audio output channels: 2. Audio Configuration: 1 Stereo
There are a couple of compound clips that don't show any codecs. I have noticed a couple of other clips (there may be more) that play fine but any codecs when displaying info.
My knowledge isn't deep enough to know if these numbers answer your question or if these specs are ok. The problem started before I added any still images so I suspect they're innocent.

Address book syncing is not syncing or corrupting data?

Totally confused here and need major help. I have an iMac and a MBP which are sync'd thru my mobile me account. Today I am on the iMac and a message comes up that there are 62 sync conflicts. I reviewed each conflict and all of the birthday's where wrong. It may be important to note that the original and the MM birthdays where both wrong.
I am now on my MBP and ALL iPhone numbers are missing, notes on some but not all contacts are duplicated in the note field. Birthday's are off by 3 days on what appears to be all contacts. Url information is also missing on most but not all contacts.......
Totally confused and not understanding what is going on, any input is greatly appreciated!

I think I found part of the problem or maybe the entire problem. I restored my address book from Time Machine on my MBP. After syncing with MM I went to my iMac to check it & when it sync'd I got the sync conflict screen again. This time it was asking me if my Entourage Data or MM Data was correct. I was thrown for a loop because I have never really used Entourage other then once or twice just to find out what it was like. It appears that it has been silently running in the background and changing birthday's, deleting information, duplicating information -Oh joy! After much reading on the Microsoft web sites it seems that Entourage is definitely another worthless program from our good friend, Bill Gates. Of corse all my headaches would come from MS again... Thought I had gotten rid of those headaches when I got rid of all my PC's but...... I have since uninstalled all Microsoft software from my MAC and am looking towards a brighter future!
