Changing a deleted user's password

I recently had a deleted user where I needed to recover some emails from.
I restored a copy of the post office, placed this copy to allow direct
access and opened their mailbox using the /ph- switch.
However this user had placed a password on their mailbox. Luckily I was
able to figure out what the password was. However it occured to me that
I wouldn't have known how to clear this password because her mailbox was
"offline".
Does anyone know what I could have done to change/remove the users'
password?
Thanks.

I have now tried this, but it does not seem to clear the user's password.
I have included the gwcheck.log file below.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

  • Changing a portal user's password programatically

    Hi,
    I'm attempting to reset a user's password, and so far i got it to work once using:
    update wwsec_person$
    set password = wwsso_utl.hash_pwd('PASSWORD')
    where user_name='USER'
    after running that statement and committing, the password seemed to change, but then it apparently hasn't worked ever since. Does anyone have any idea how to change a user's password programmatically? there's plenty of threads, but all they all seem to be out dated (ie. portal 3.x) I'm using portal 10.1.4
    Thanks in advance

    Try ORASSO.WWSSO_OID_INTEGRATION.RESET_PASSWD

  • How can I delete user and password saved in Safari

    Hi, this is the first time I use Apple Support Communities.
    I have a problem with Safari. I want to delete the information of users and password of Safari's autofill, so I go to Safari - Preferences - Autofil - User and password - Edit, and when I click on delete all, the only thing that happens is that all the information remain selected. I try to uninstall safari, but I can't. I'm using  the Spanish version of Lion. What can I do? I like using Safari, but I want to delete this information.

    Solved. It was all related with keychain

  • Changing a mobile users password has no effect

    Hi!
    Changing a mobile account users password on the server doesn't work. On a 10.7.4 server I changed a network user's password, who has a mobile account and was connected to the local network, but he could not log in with either the old or the new password?!?!? I could understand if the change didn't work if the user was off site, but shouldn't this "just work"? I tried both in Server.app and WGM, but still not working. When setting the old password on the server again, it worked!
    Anyone else had this problem? Any solutions. It has happened to 2 users, same story. Clients are 10.6.8 clients.

    Ok, I found out what's wrong.
    To "pan" an image you have to change bounds origin of PARENT view.
    - (void)applicationDidFinishLaunching:(UIApplication *)application {
    CGRect viewRect = CGRectMake(50, 50, 100, 100);
    UIView* myView = [self createView:viewRect withColor:[UIColor redColor]];
    UIView* childView = [self createView:CGRectMake(0, 0, 50, 50) withColor:[UIColor blueColor]];
    [myView addSubview:childView];
    [window addSubview:myView];
    myView.clipsToBounds=TRUE;
    myView.bounds=CGRectMake(45, 45, 100, 100);
    [myView release];
    [childView release];
    [window makeKeyAndVisible];
    -(UIView*) createView:(CGRect)viewRect withColor:(UIColor*)color
    UIView* myView = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:viewRect];
    myView.backgroundColor=color;
    return myView;
    }

  • I have changed my icloud user Id and password, but the old user ID still pops up and ask my password. I cannot delete my old icloud account.

    I have changed my icloud user Id and password, but the old user ID still pops up and ask for my password. I cannot delete my old icloud account as it keeps asking password of my old user ID. how can I rectify the problem?

    Hey HKKL,
    Thanks for the question. I understand you are having issue relating to the iCloud account after changing your Apple ID email address. The following article addresses this issue and potential resolution:
    iOS 7: If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud
    https://support.apple.com/kb/TS5223
    3. Change your Apple ID temporarily
    If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't work, try these steps:
    1. Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
    2. Tap Settings > iCloud and try to sign out.
    3. Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
    4. Tap Settings > iCloud and sign in with the new Apple ID.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • HT5621 Change I cloud to match apple user and password

    I would like to change I cloud user and pass word, how do I do this

  • IMac keeps asking for user account password when changing Airport

    Whenever I change anything in Airport (switching networks mainly) my iMac constantly prompts me to submit my user account password. All other macs don't do that. Any clues?

    Suggest that if you haven't already taken the next steps....open System Preferences > Network > AirPort and delete the current wireless connection by highlighting the name of the network, then clicking the - (minus) button at the bottom of the connection list. Click OK and then Apply.
    Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > KeyChain Access and locate the name of the wireless network, then highlight and delete that entry.
    Restart your Mac to see if that will allow you to start fresh.
    If still no luck, I'm afraid it's getting down to a re-installation of the operating system on the Mac.

  • Automatically change AD User's password hourly

    Hi
    I was wonder if there was a script or some kind of way which could reset a specific user's password every hour and save the password to a .txt file or maybe to a SQL table? I found one program however it emails the password rather than saving it to a file
    (and isn't free). I am using the NPS RADIUS server role and would like guests to have temporary access without having to create and delete an account every time (or have a static password allowing them to rejoin the network if they return).
    Thanks :)
    [Using Windows Server 2008 R2]

    Hello,
    I just have an idea about this.
    Save all the passwords you want in a text file and give full control access to your own user and remove the rest of the ACL entries except Domain Admins.
    Create a Powershell script to reset user password. This Powershell script reads the new passwords from the text file and will delete the newly assigned password from the text file. In that case your text file will be fresh with unused passwords.
    Run the Powershell script as schedule task on hourly basis with your own user.
    To understand how to reset password using Powershell check:

  • How to change SSO user's password: Get LDAP URL

    Hi,
    I would like to add a 'change user SSO password' form to my BC4J application. The form's submit button fires an action that calls a PL/SQL package. This package receives 7 parameters, and uses de dbms_ldap package to change the user's password.
    Parameters:
    - LDAP Host
    - LDAP Port
    - User DN
    - SSO Username
    - Old Password
    - New Password
    - Retyped New Password (for confirmation)
    I'm trying with a DataForwardAction event whose purpose is to get the user's account information and the LDAP location, but I can't get the LDAP Location (ClassCastException) and the SSOUsername (NullPointerException).
    I'm using JDeveloper 10.1.2.0.0 (Build 1811)
    My question is: ¿What am I doing wrong? ¿Is there any easier way to do this?
    The code is below:
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest;
    import oracle.adf.controller.struts.actions.DataActionContext;
    import oracle.adf.controller.struts.actions.DataForwardAction;
    import oracle.security.jazn.JAZNConfig;
    import oracle.security.jazn.spi.ldap.LDAPJAZNProvider;
    public class ChgPwdAction extends DataForwardAction
      public void onChange(DataActionContext ctx) throws Exception
        HttpServletRequest request = ctx.getHttpServletRequest();
        String host                = null;
        String port                = null;
        String userDN              = null;
        String SSOUsername         = null;
        String oldPwd              = null;
        String newPwd              = null;
        String confirmNewPwd       = null;
        try
          LDAPJAZNProvider ldapProvider = (LDAPJAZNProvider)JAZNConfig.getJAZNConfig().getJAZNProvider();
          host = ldapProvider.getJAZNConfig().getLocationURL().getHost();
          port = "" + ldapProvider.getJAZNConfig().getLocationURL().getPort();
        catch (ClassCastException e)
          //System.out.println(e);
          throw new Exception("Missing LDAP location");
        try
          userDN = request.getHeader("Osso-User-Dn");
        catch (NullPointerException e)
          //System.out.println(e);
          throw new Exception("Missing User DN.");
        SSOUsername   = request.getRemoteUser();
        oldPwd        = (String)request.getParameter("oldPwd");
        newPwd        = (String)request.getParameter("newPwd");
        confirmNewPwd = (String)request.getParameter("confirmNewPwd");
        request.setAttribute("Host", host);
        request.setAttribute("Port", port);
        request.setAttribute("UserDN", userDN);
        request.setAttribute("SSOUsername", SSOUsername);
        request.setAttribute("OldPwd", (String)ctx.getHttpServletRequest().getParameter("oldPwd"));
        request.setAttribute("NewPwd", (String)ctx.getHttpServletRequest().getParameter("newPwd"));
        request.setAttribute("ConfirmNewPwd", (String)ctx.getHttpServletRequest().getParameter("confirmNewPwd"));
        //System.out.println (userDN + "-" + SSOUsername);
      // To override a method of the lifecycle, go to
      // the main menu "Tools/Override Methods...".
    }Thanks in advance.

    Hi again,
    First of all, thanks for your reply.
    Yes, I know I can use JNDI instead of a call to a PL/SQL package (I visited this link: http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=592611&start=0 that explains how to do it), but in both cases I have the same problem: I don't know if it's possible to get the LDAP's environment specifications (PROVIDER_URL, SECURITY_PROTOCOL) dynamically.
    Our production environment's LDAP is not the same as our development environment's LDAP. This is why I want to get this information dynamically.
    I think that this information is stored in the jazn.xml file: Is there any way to get this information?
    Thanks a lot.

  • How can I Change a User's password remotely

    Hi all
    I setup an iChat Server. I need to allow the users the ability to change their password without physically accessing the server (including via Remote Managment)
    Thow some iChat(jabber) Clients support changing the password, the iChat Server does not appear to have this option.
    Is there any way to remotely change a user's password ?
    A possible solution would be to setup a Webpage allowing the user to logon and change the Password.
    Is there any web managment tool on OS X Server for this ?
    Any other sugestions?
    Thanks,
    Best regards

    This is getting depressing. I've just speand most of a day getting the OID to support ldaps SSL protocol, since I read that a number of active directory services only allow password change if the connection is encrypted. Finally got my ldaps connection, but the NoPermissionException is still there. The user I'm signing on as is definitely has user security management permissions. I can't seem to modify attributes at all. I added my own optional attribute to the schema, but JNDI can't set it.
    Perhaps the oracle LDAP library in jpdk might help, but I'm not hopeful. If I could find any API documentation I might be more moved to try, but I see no setPassword methods in the relavant classes. This just looks like a fairly thin wrapper for JNDI anyway.
    Does anyone know where the API doc for oracle.ldap.* is? Has anyone got a password to change other than by the SSO's built in change password dialog?
    I'm not hopeful. On these boards I've found many questions along these lines but, thus far, no answers.

  • I have changed my email address so I changed my Apple ID and password.  Just realised haven't changed icloud details and now can't access as don't know password or security questions.  Want to delete and set up on new Apple ID.

    I I have changed my email address so I changed my Apple ID and password.  Just realised haven't changed icloud details and now can't access as don't know password or security questions.  Want to delete and set up on new Apple ID.  Help please???

    In order to change the iCloud ID on your device you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • Cisco ACS 5.4 + Anyconnect 3.1 NAM with 802.1x, problem with changing ACS Radius user password

    Dear all,
    Presently, we are testing 802.1x using Cisco ACS 5.4 and Cisco Anyconnect v3.1 as 802.1x supplicant. We have created predefined NAM profiles (with Cisco Profile Editor) and applied as default in on our test machine. We are using PEAP (MsCHAPv2) and ACS local user credentials for authenticating process. We have noticed that, when we try to authenticate the network with predefined profile (network profile has Administrator Network privileges) and Windows user on test machine has no Admin privileges we are not able to change ACS user password (checked "Change password on next login" in the ACS user profile). In the Monitoring and Report View we get Failure Reason "24203 User need to change password"  but no popup window apears in Anyconnect. When we change Windows local user privileges to Admin or create Anyconnect network profile localy (privileges User Network) then, we are able to finish the process.
    Have you ever been facing the problem described above. Is it Anyconnect bug? How can we fix it?
    Best regards,
    Piotr

    If this happens with all machines then if a microsoft guy can look the app logs/privileges. It seems the app is requesting privilege that it is not authorized to and that's why the propmt window fails to appear. If we know what that privilege is we can probably fix it. If that privilege is not even required for smooth work Cisco need probably to fix this behavior.
    I am sorry if I am not able to help but I am not using the anyconnect for production.
    Regards,
    Amjad
