To receive the discount you the account has to be in the employee's name and SSN. You can call 611 or visit a corporate store and ask for an Assumption Of Liabilty. The current account owner and the potential new account owner should be together. Keep in mind that there will be a credit check for the new account owner and you may have to change to one of the new More Everything plans.

    I understand it’s always good to be aware of the changes once your contract is completed and I’m happy to help you. You can log into My Verizon to view the contract end date. Tikibar1, thank you for pointing in the right direction; it will automatically continue to bill you as usual, but it will be on a month to month basis. It will keep you on a post paid account; however, if you wanted to transfer to a Prepaid account the process may be different.     I have never read so much information. There is no charge to change your cell number. However only the account holder can log in to My Verizon Web Portal http://www.verizonwireless.com and click on her second line (your phone should be shown)
    I cannot fathom unless your sister gave you account access the ability to pay each line separately.
    Just pay your sister and have her pay the complete invoice when due. Problem solved.
    You could also to an assumption of liability on that second line on your sisters account. Call *611 or 1-800-922-0204 and make sure your sister is right there with you to do this. Then the line comes off her account and you can then set up your own account with verizon.
    You can also switch to T-Mobile now and they will pay off that early termination fee and give credit for your old verizon device, but you have to buy a new phone over time payments from T-Mobile. Please note a hard credit check will be done by verizon if you break off of your sisters account for one of your own, and T-Mobile also does a hard credit check before they provide service. http://www.T-Mobile.com

        Hello keshiab! I see that you've commented on a thread dedicated to changing the primary line on a family plan, with a comment that indicates you would like to know how to reach use. You can reach out to Verizon Wireless' Customer Care team by calling 800-922-0204 between 6am and 11pm daily. Also, please be advised that Verizon Wireless discontinued the price plans that required the designation of a primary line. We now have Account Level Pricing, so there is no need to change the position of any number on those plans.

    That's the way things are supposed to work...all devices using the same iCloud account are kept in sync. You delete on one device, & it deletes on all, including iCloud. Unless you have a backup that contains your contacts, or they are in a supported application on your computer, they are gone.
    You should have deleted the iCloud account, on the iPhone 4, before giving the phone away.

    Thank you for your inquiry JessicaMakowski. Adding to what was stated, if your spouse has access to the internet overseas, he can go onto My Verizon, log in and add you on as Account Manager. Afterward he can give you the billing account password he created. That way when contacting customer service for account assistance, you can provide that same password to verify the account information as needed for authorized access.     Hey guys, I've tried researching couple of questions on these forums but have not been successful . Our family plan  2-year contract just ended in December and we are on the same family plan of 3 on a month to month.  We are planning on renewing the 2-year contract but my mom (primary number with basic phone) will be canceling possibly later during the year.  From my understanding we can switch the primary number to another line and just pay the termination fee for the line.  Would there be a credit check for the new primary number holder after it has been switched? And would we be able to change the plans as far as the minutes for the family plan of two liines?

    First, ALL phones on a family plan are the responsibility of the account owner, which it seems is your mom. The different lines are not in the names of the people who use them, but the account owner's name. Secondly, each line on your family account has it's own contract and contract term. Unless you purchased ALL of the phones at the same time, they will have different contract end dates. If your mom waits until the contract is up for her line, there would be no ETF. Otherwise, the ETF for a smartphone would be $350 less $10 for each month of her contract which she has completed. So if she has completed 12 months, she would have an ETF of $230. If she does not have a smartphone, her ETF would be half of that or $115.
    What you would have to do if your mom wants to leave your family plan would be to do an Assumption of Liability for the other 2 lines. Yes there will be a credit check when you do this. Yes you may have to come up with a deposit if your credit is not good enough or you have no credit history. Yes you can change to whichever minute allowance package you would like, either 700, 1400, 2000 or unlimited.

    When you have a share plan on your account and one number is leaving the plan, it automatically makes the number left on the account the primary number.  Only if you have two lines of service on your account. If you are wanting to add your husband to your line that is possible, depending upon your plan will determine the plan you and your husband would share. For instance, if you are on a plan that is no longer offered (grandfathered) you would have to change to a current promotion plan to be able to share a line with your husband. Your husband would be able to get a phone at discounted pricing, if he doesn't already have a Verizon wireless phone he wanting to use.  If your husband has Verizon wireless service and is out of contract, he can bring the phone over to your account and share minutes. He can then disconnect his particular line. You and your husband would have to be both present, at a store or on the phone with our care department to do the assumption of liability. It also depends upon what name you would like to have your account underneath.     First time here... does anyone know if you can change the primary number within an family account?  My husband's number is listed as the primary number by default but we have a company discount and if my number becomes the primary number (I have the data package) we would get a better price on our overall bill. 
    I just didn't know if I called them would they simply make my number the primary number and his one of the numbers added on as the family plan.

    Hello community members!! Thanks for helping chezno figure out the best way to save on her VZW account. I just wanted to add my feedback on this question as well. In terms of employee discounts, what matters is the name and SSN of the Account Owner. In order for any account to enjoy an employee discount, the Account Owner and the employee must be one in the same. Therefore, if chezno's husband is the employee, she andher husband would want the VZW account to be in her husband's name. Insofar as the primary line, our new Account Level Pricing should eliminate the need to make that distinction. However, if for some reason chezno's account has not been migrated to Account Level Pricing, I can help!
