Changing a PDF file title

How do I change the title of a PDF file on a iPad 2?

View your list of documents in Reader. Click the Edit button (upper right). Select the file whose name you want to change. Click the 4th icon from the left (I-bar icon). You'll see the Rename dialog where you can rename the file.

You can copy the contents and paste it into a Word file. Just don't expect everything to transfer or to retain all of the formatting.

How can I buy the software to change the pdf file to excell file???

Not sure what you are expecting. Scale is just an abstract concept. The overall content and appearance of the drawing doesn't change. If you place the same drawing on teh same page and just change it's supposed scale, you have changed nothing effectively . As far as AI is concerned, all that matters is the size of the content in relation to the page its on. If you want things to appear at specific sizes, you must scale them accordingly on the page and also keep in mind that AI uses inches as its base unit. so essentialyl you need to define the DPI of the drawing.

  • Can I change a PDF file to a pages file?

Can I change a PDF file to a pages file?

You can extract the text In Preview .app from a PDF file and Copy/Paste it into Pages.
Acrobat Pro can convert a .pdf into a Word .doc which you can then open in Pages, but it is quite a slow process, depending how large the .pdf is.
PDFs are not necessarily composed of text and images, they may only be images and any text they have is not actually freeflowing text. It takes a degree of programming trickery to work out what text fits where, especially if it is columns. You need to review it after to check it is what you expected.
If all you want is to see the pdf/s in Pages just drag it in, it is just an image. If it has multiple pages, then open it in Preview and copy over the thumbnails.

  • Can you change a PDF file to only allow one person have it open on a shared network?

At my office, we all work from the same network and are constantly sharing files. We need to add comments and edit PDF files. One thing I have noticed is that adobe will not tell you that someone else has the file open until you have made all your changes and are trying to save it. Is there anyway you can be notified when you open the file that someone else is in it or only allow one user to have it open at a time?
By the way... we are all using Adobe Acrobat X Standard

No, there isn't. The way you're using the file is not recommended. You
should use a review tracker to avoid getting in the way of one another.

I think you should visit the website for it, you can find all the answers to your questions there. You can find it at:

Locate Acrobat Pro on the page and that is the product you need, it sells for $199.00

  • Newbie - Can't Change a PDF File

    Hi All...
Newbie here...  I got a PDF file from a friend and I'm trying to make minor changes to text.  I open the tools pane, select the Edit Document Text, highlight some text, and select right-click | properties.  It shows all the information, but it's all grayed - I cant change anything.  I also can't delete text or type in new text.
    Any thoughts?
    Curt

Interesting...  I went back and opened my original un-edited file with both tools.  And yeah, Acrobat doesnt let me change anything and LiveCycle does.  Since this file is sort of forms-intensive (as well as some others I need to edit) it wouldnt surprise me if they were originally built with LiveCycle, as you say is a "forms" tool.  Perhaps it was built with LiveCycle - I really dont know...  If it peaks your curiosity at all, here's the end result of editing it with LiveCycle...

Hey, thanks alot for your help, graffiti.  I'm a developer - microsoft platforms - and therefore rely heavily on forums such as this one.  This is my first visit here and I'm very impressed with the activity and response times present.  Guess it's a sign of the times and how popular PDFs continue to be...

not sure if they mention it, but xournal may also kind of work (annotates pdfs by turning them into an image, basically)

  • Changing a pdf file size?

Hi - I am fairly new to Adobe, so please forgive my ignorance! I have created some pdf files from a batch of scanned documents, which I now want to email. I forgot to scan them as B&W and now the pdfs are colour, they are too big to email (28MB). Is there a way I can change them to B&W or reduce the filesize to an acceptable email size limit? Really appreciate any help as I have to get these out tonight... Thanks

    Hi Working-mum
if You are using Acrobat X then,
choose "File > Save As > Optimized PDF...", as opposed to "File > Save As > Reduced Size PDF...".
If you're using Acrobat XI then see the below link and Scroll to Reduce size article.
