Changing a website name

How do I change a Site name once it is published on catalyst?
Also.... how do I get the name server code to put on my register to forward the site to adobe?

Go to My sites-> click on site name-> you will the option to change the site name.

Using iweb, should I change my website name?

I have had a website that is build in iweb that has been live for some time. I've got great placement on google. I own my new domain name, and it's right now pointed at my old site name. I am now changing my site name, but for now I'm changing the header to my new site name, not the title of the site url. So if it comes up in searches, it will still come up listed as the old name, and the pages are all listed under the old name in the url. BUT you read my new site name on the top of the page. If they read and remember that that name, and try to look for it again, they might not find me. Should I change my site name too? Can I just change the name of the site in iweb and that will take care of it?
For clarification, my old site is www.vintagehomelighting.com. My new site is www.vintagehomelighting.com.

Changed website name in iweb won't show up in dot mac my pages anymore

After being able to see my site on .mac my web pages area i changed the name of the site from Site to something else... after that it dissapeared. I can create new sites and they will show up and even change the names from site1 site2 to George, Baby whatever... how do i get my first site back to my pages area? I can manually enter the website name and it will show up. I have tried changing name back to Site or Site2 nothing republished. Thanks

I don't know what governs what sites or pages get shown on that .Mac account page, but one thing you can try is to do a "Publish All to .Mac" and see if it makes a difference.

If I change a file name, how can I get all the links to update?

I've recently finished my webpage
(kensingtonconcertseries.com),.....then my client wanted to change
the name of one of his pages from 'Marold Duo' to
'Rodewald-Morebello Duo.' All of my links to that page are to the
original page(MaroldDuo.html). Arrrhhhhh!!! Is there anyway I can
change the name of the page and have all the links within the
website update automatically?
I figured out my problem...make a copy and rename it and put
it on the server. Simple....eventually, I'll have to get rid of the
original file, but for now works well.

If you change a file name within Dw's File manager - it will
offer to
update all pages linked to it, accept that invitation

Webdb website name size

Hi,
I have installed webdb on hp-ux successfully and am able to build websites.
The only problem I am facing is ORA-6502 PL/SQL error.
I checked with metalink and it seems the website name exceeds the database name column size (30).
Can anyone let me know which table and what column the website name is stored upon?
I did check dba_tab_columns for size (30) but could not come up with the column where the website name is stored.
Any help is highly appreciated.

Change of Domain Name causes loss of podcasts - help please

Hi all
For the past 16 months i've posted monthly podcasts on iTunes. Last month I changed the domain name of the website they were pinged from and (I assume because of this) my podcasts are no longer on iTunes.
What's the best way to get my podcasts back? Do I:
1 - contact iTunes as if this is a brand new podcast and then submit them all?
2 - get iTunes to recognise that they are the same podcasts without having to go through the process for new podcasts (and if so, what is the best way to do that?)
3 - other?

Hi guys,
I'm relatively new at this. I have created a website and
hosted it online but when I preview it in browser or log on to it
via the internet, in the start bar tab it says 'Untitled Document'
rather than my website name. How do I fix this?

Change iweb page names

Hi,
I'm portuguese and I'm trying ou iweb to build a small website. If I create a new webpage with the name "Decoração" when I try to publish it iweb automatically creates an .html page with the name Decoração.html. When I try to view the published site every accented page doesn't work. Is it possible to change the .html name from those pages within iWeb to something like decoracao.html for example?

Try using Cyberduck (set to UTF-8) to upload your site. Some people find this solves the problem without the need to change page names.

I am trying to build a new website. It is hosted at IX Webhosting, not using Mobile Me. Site is http://www.GreenDogOutfitters.com But it shows up as http://www.greendogoutfitters.com/GreenDogOutfitters/Welcome.html

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You can change the site name in iWeb to something other than GreenDogOutfitters or:
To remove the site name from the URL address when publishing to a 3rd party server do the following;
1 - publish your site to a folder on your hard drive.
2 - using a 3rd party FTP client like the free Cyberduck select just the contents of your site folder.
3 - upload those contents to the public_html or root folder of your account on the server.
This will give the following in the URL window for each page of you site:
http://www.YourDomainName.com/Page_Name.html

can we do it . if so how ? will the change affect the flow.

Hi,
I would run the script I mention above. Then extract the definition from the database and save it to a flat file.
Running the script will replace all references to the old type in the system, but obviously won't touch anything that isn't in the database (i.e. the .wft file). You could use a text editor to change the .wft file, but it would be more prone to error than running the Oracle supplied script and then extracting from the database.

I'm sorry but there are a lot of names you could change, so which do you mean?
Change the URL
-web.mac.com/ name / (you can't change this name, except with buying a new .Mac account)
-www. name .com (this name is called "domain" or url, you can change the .mac domain with your own personal domain, and it would look this way. I need to change my websites appearance in google

My website is setup in google as to only appear when the words elegant pour are typed in, I need to change this. What I need the website to be set as is Elegant Pour Wine Aerators, not just elegant pour. I have tried the java method, changing the page name but nothing works. I have even tried the iweb seo tool but I see no change.

Because you named it that way. If you want it shorter, change your Site name inside iWeb to dk or something instead of DallasKruse.com, and change the name of your top page to Home or Welcome instead of dallaskruse.com.
Also what comes up in the address bar of the browser is not of any importance. Your url that you give out to people is always just
http://www.dallaskruse.com
