  • Issue in changing Account Group of a Customer

    Dear Gurus,
I am trying to change the Account Group of a Sold to Party in XD07, from '0001' to 'Z001' (an exact copy of '0001'), but the system is giving an Error message "Change of account group not possible; customer used in SD documents".
              '0001' = Sold to Party
'Z001' = Non Operative Customers (who are not dealing with us now)(Same number range, same fields / values)
I checked and made sure there are no open docs against his name and his account has Zero balance. The Customer is not having any Blocks. Still system is giving the Error message, now what to do?
    Best Regards.

  • Error while changing Account Group for Prospective Customer

    Dear All,
I am getting an error when the account group of a prospective customer needs to be changed to Sold to Party
The planned change is not allowed as the following groups would be masked by the new account group,
S      Group                    Group Name             M                 Group Name
    V       D315                    Shipping                   030              Rail Specifications.
Please let me know what is the reason for this error and as per my knowledge even if the no range is different for both these partner functions the system should allow me to change the account group however the earlier no given to prospective customer will still exist even if the prospective customer number is changed to sold to party please let me know otherwise.
    Kind Regards

  • Account group in the customer master record.

    Hi .
Why we have to use the ACCOUT GROUP For customer.
Account group differs for sold to party, ship to party, bill to party and payer.
but when we create a sales order if we enter the sold to party automatically the ship ,bill and payer will be taken by the system.
can any one give me the sufficient solution for this.
    thanks

    Hi,
For customer creation ACCOUNT GROUP plays a vital role.
Based on this Account Group only, concerned Fields will be activated. Thats why, when we create a Sold to pary it will ask for much information in all the tabs, where as, for ship to, bill to and payer all these fields are not required.
using the path : IMG -> Logistics General -> Business Partners -> Customer -> Control -> Define Transaction Dependent Screen Layout -> double click on Create Customer (sales)
here you can activate or make mandatory or optional all the fileds which are available in different tabs of the customer master.
And This you can do based on account groups also
Goto T.Code OBD2, select the account group (say 0001 sold to) and you can activate make which are all the fileds required for that customer. Like this you can do for all the account groups, so whenever u create the customer master based on that account group only those fileds will be asked by system.
For sold to party, we require all the info like sales, shipment, billing and parnter funtion. But for ship to you need only shiping data, for bill to you need only billing data, for payer you need billing also. for all these general data is required.
And where as for your second query, when you create a sales order automatically ship to, payer , bill to will come automatically based on what you maintaine in the sold to customer master. By default when you create a sold to, partner functions will be taken as the same for ship to, bill to , payer. Then you have to create different customers using account groups shipto, bill to and payer and those customer numbers you maintain in the sold to customer master -> Sales Area data -> partner functions.
Then whenever you create the sales order, differnt customer will be picked based on that data.
    Hope this is clear.
    Thanks

  • Account Groups in the IDoc is different Message no. B1356

    Hi Experts,
We are setting up CfC using the HCI interface, when we make a change on a customer (Which has been sent from ERP), in CfC, we get an inbound IDoc error in ERP "Account group in IDoc is different":
    Error Message:
Diagnosis changes cannot be made automatically to the account group of a customer master record. The customer with number 00000XXXXX currently has account group 0020, but the account group 0001 is contained in the intermediate document. Procedure: Please change the account group manually to 0001 and then try to process the intermediate document again.
The error makes sense since account 00000XXXXX was created in ERP with account group 0020. This was then sent to CfC where we have mapped a lot of account groups e.g. (CRM000 = 0001, CRM000 = 0010, CRM000 = 0020 etc.) When we map more account groups to the same internal account role in CfC (Via. Code list mapping), it is required to have one default outboud meaning that every change to an account will be sent with the role 0001 (If that is the default outbound, in this case it is).
We are working with multiple account groups comming from ERP, all these account groups are Sold Tos, therefore we need to be able to send data from CfC to ERP, without the IDoc getting stuck in the validation.
I was told in a CfC training session from SAP, that Sold tos should always be mapped to CRM000, therefore I haven't created different roles for different account groups.
Do you have any recommendations on this issue? Is it recommended to create new Roles in CfC for every account group (remember that these are all sold tos, so they should work exactly as the standard role CRM000), or do we need to work with somekind of BAdi in inboud for ERP? Any thoughts are ideas?
    Best Regards
    Anders

for information, I found this note 1914662, I think this will solve the issue.

  • How to change account group "Bill-to" to "Sold-to"

    Hi,
Could anyone suggest how I can change the account group of a customer from "Bill-to" to "Sold-to".
I tried with XD07, but i get the error message
The planned change is not allowed as the following field
groups would be masked by the new account group
    please help.

    Hi,
There will be only one and unique sold to party for any customer and different bill to partys..So when u are changing bill to party to sold to party then it is just adding one more sold to party to same customer which system will not permit to have two sold to party..
u can change ship to bill to and bill to ship to ,payer to bill to ...
If u want to change Bill to sold to then u need to untick no changes and uniqe fileds for sold to party in partner determination then u can try to change bill to sold..

  • Change Account Group (BU_GROUP) in ERP -- CRM replication

    Hi experts,
    We are running CRM 7.02.
Customer has a requirement to change the account group in CRM, between 2 account groups in different number ranges.
They currently do this via XD07 in ERP, however, the changes do not replicate fully to CRM.
(CRMM_BUT_FRG0041-ACCOUNT_GROUP is updated by middleware, but BUT000-BU_GROUP is not)
We are thinking to use BADI BUPA_INBOUND to make an enhancement in CRM that will force the account group to be changed in field BUT000-BU_GROUP.
We understand that the account group will no longer align with the assigned number range.  This is acceptable from customer perspective.
Are there any other issues that we should be concerned about or made aware of ?  Any other customers facing similar requirement / experience ?
    Thanks.

    Hi Charles!
The Account Group is the essential controlling element in the ERP system. In CRM there is no such concept of the account group that controls all important functions as is the case in ERP. Therefore there is no 1:1 mapping of the account group between ERP and CRM. The account group is mapped to the sales classification in CRM. This allows you to specify which sales classification the business partner receives depending on the account group maintained in ERP. This is why you see the change in table CRMM_BUT_FRG0041. You must specify a numbering group for which the new business partners are assigned their new BP ID in CRM. This is what the BU_GROUP field refers to in BUT000, the numbering group and not the account group. So a change in account group will never change the ID of the BP in CRM. Changing the ID of a BP in CRM can have serious inconsistencies. Note 504265 provides details on this and a possible work around. Hope this helps!

  • Account group of a customer

What is the relevence of account group and how it can be changed?
What will happen to the accounting entries when we change the account group.
    Thanks in advance

    Hello,
First thing to understand, when talking about a Customer number in SAP, you are generally talking about a Business Partner record that has been assigned a particular account group which controls the information and functions that business partner can have.
    1. Depending upon the account group assigned to a business partner, it can function as one or all of those partner functions for itself or any other business partner in your system.
    2. Account groups determine which fields in the customer master record are required, optional, or suppressed. By turning off certain field in an account group, you limit which partner function it can perform.
    3. Account group controls the way the numbers are assigned to the partners, it can be internal or external based on the settings in the account group.
    4. Account group determines whether the business partner is a one-time customer or one-time vendor.
Changes to the account group and the accompanying partner functions can only be made from a lower level to a higher level.
For example, this means that a sold-to party cannot be assigned the function of a payer as fields which have already been maintained for this sold-to party would have to be masked. However, you can assign the sold-to party function to a payer.
You can change the account group (XD07) for the following partner functions:
    Ship-to party, Bill-to party , Payer.
