Changing ACS Administrative Port Number

Hi,
Can I change the Port Number of 2002 of ACS to 2003?
thanks.

you have the ability to configure the port range that the ACS admin program will use., by going to Administration Control --> Access Policy --> HTTP Port Allocation.

  • Changing the admin port number

    Greetings all,
    I have just become the proud father of a weblogic 9 installation and the admin before me changed the admin port number. As I have NO experience with weblogic, could someone be so kind as to tell me where I can find the port number being used for the admin console?
    Thanks!
    Earnie!

    Earnie,
    First, try port 9002 (https) since that's the default.
    If that doesn't work, have a look in DOMAIN_DIR\config\config.xml. In there you'll find something like this:
    <administration-port>1234</administration-port>
    There ya go!

    Hi
    You have to edit the following files in $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin or $TNS_ADMIN/ :
    In your listener.ora on your standby
    MQ_LIST =
    (DESCRIPTION_LIST =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = superman.dk)*(PORT = 1524))*
    TNSNAMES.ORA (on your primary and standby)
    MQ_LIST =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (COMMUNITY = tcp.world)(PROTOCOL = TCP)(Host = superman.dk)*(PORT = 1524))*
    (CONNECT_DATA = (SID = MQ_LIST))
    after that do
    lsnrctl reload

  • Changing the listener port number in a cluster environment

    Hello,
    I have an Oracle 10g database on a Windows cluster environment with Oracle Fail safe. I am trying to change the default listener port number - these are the steps I have done to change the port number:
    1) Take the listener offline via Oracle Fail safe
    2) stop the original listener from the command line
    3) change the port number in the listener.ora file & save
    4) start the original listener
    5) bring the listener online in Fail safe
    6) register the listener in the database with ALTER SYSTEM SET LOCAL_LISTENER....
    After all this, when i check the status of the listener via lsnrctl, i see that the new port number is used, however in the Fail safe administrator, I still see the default port 1521. How do I go about changing the port number so that Fail safe also registers the change?

    I did troubleshooting to verify the group, but this just changed the port number back to the default in the listener.ora & tnsnames.ora.
    So I did all the steps again to change the port number from the default to another - via lsnrctl status, i see that the new port number is being used, I can also log in to the database via Toad using the new port number, in v$parameter i see that the local_listener is registered on the new port number....only under the Fail Safe manager, the port number (under listener parameter) has not changed....it still shows the default port number. Anyone know how to change this???

  • Changing the Listener Port Number

    Hi RACers,
    I need to change the TNS listener port number from the default of 1521 (don't ask!).
    I'm on Solaris10/Oracle10g 10.2.0.3 using a 2 node cluster.
    I've tried editing the relevant files, bouncing everything and re-starting CRS, but that doesn't work. I tried using Netca to delete the listener and re-create it with a different port number and that didn't work either. The instances did not re-register despite having their local_listener parameter changes.
    Obviously I'm doing something wrong, but don't know what. Any ideas or do you know where a procedure to do this is documented?
    Thanks in advance.

    My posting was not aimed at the OP at all.. not his fault that Oracle insists on using a TCP port that's NOT registered for Oracle use.
    It is all Oracle's fault that port 1521 is used instead of 1527.
    As for what Oracle books say.. bahumbug. Means nothing ito playing by the same networking rules as everyone else.
    Port 1527 is what is registered for and by Oracle as use for Oracle tcp traffic. Not fricken port 1521!
    And why is this a problem?
    If you're in the network business and deal with everything and anything from network analysis and management to rewriting ToS bytes for proper DiffServ application.. then it is very frustrating to find a major company like Oracle ignoring the networking rules.
    I read that as Oracle telling us "screw you".

  • When I point my browser to the administration port number, I get the message "Forbidden"

    I installed the iPlanet Calendar Server (iCS) and supplied a TCP port number
    for the admin port. However, when I tried to access the Calendar Server
    administration interface from Netscape Communicator by typing in the URL<BR>
    <P>
    http://server-name:port<BR>
    <P>
    where server-name was
    the name of the Calendar Server and port
    was the port number, I got the
    message "Forbidden."
    <P>
    I checked to make sure that the port number, "22392" was specified in the
    server.conf file
    in the line<BR>
    <P>
    service.http.admin.port "22392"
    <P>
    I also checked to make sure that admin service was enabled in the
    server.conf file in the line<BR>
    <P>
    service.http.admin.enable "yes"
    <P>
    Even after checking these, I was still unable to access the Calendar Server
    administration interface.
    <P>
    At this time, there is no graphical administration interface for iCS 2.x.
    For this reason, you need to execute all commands for the Calendar Server from
    the command line. For some command-line administration tools, you need to
    specify the port number.

  • Change the SMTP Port number in OIM

    Hi All,
    I have an email server that its SMTP port is 135.
    My question is:
    How can I change the SMTP Port from 25 to 135 in OIM? Because the notificacions are sent by Port number 25
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ariel

    I actually don't have any other ideas on where this could be configured. I think that the port can be changed if you send emails programmatically but if you use the default OIM email system I don't know any other place where this could be configured.
    Have you tried opening an SR with Oracle?
    Best regards

  • How to change TCP/IP port number on a HP CM2320 printer ?

    Hi,
    I have a HP CM2320 printer, and would like to be able to print to it from the internet.
    I have set up Port Forwarding of Port 9100 against an other printer, so I can't use the same port.
    My router is a Technicolor TG582N, I tried to setup port Translation from outside port 9102 to inside port 9100 pointing to this printer, but without any luck.
    My question would be:
    Could I change by any means the port number on  the HP CM2320 printer so that it accepts printing on port 9101 or 9102 instead of 9100?
    Thank you,
    Elemer

  • How to change the port number for deployment in JAVA Studio Enterprise 8?

    Hi!
    Yesterday i downloaded this new sun java studio enterprise and found it mind blowing.
    Now i find that all my previous applications which were running on port 8080 can't be run on sun java studio enterprise(sjse) 8.
    Can anyone tell me how to change the port number on this software so i won't have to edit all my applications?

    http://docs.sun.com/source/819-0080/install.html
    In the Admin Configuration page (or at the command line), enter the following:
    Admin User NameName of the user who administers the server
    PasswordAdmin users password to access the Admin Server (8-character minimum)
    Admin PortAdministration port number for initial server instance
    HTTP PortPort number to access the default server instance

  • Change XML DB default HTTP port number from 8080 to ... ?

    Hi !
    I need to change the default port number of XML DB from port 8080 to something else, because the development server also hosts a web service, which is configured to listen on port 8080 for debugging reasons. This WS is provided by our partner and we have no control over the ports it uses.
    I'm not a network prof. so I'd like to ask what other port number would make sense for XML DB instead of 8080. Can I choose any port number I like, e.g. 8088?
    Besides using DBCA is there any other place I need to configure this new port number?
    TIA,
    Stefan

    I've done this on occasion using the OEM attach to the database and click XML Database then configuration, you will see it on the right window pane.

  • How to view and change SMTP port number in new account setup in "Mail" 10.6

    When I try to set up and test a new email account addressing an SMTP server that seems to e using a nn-standard port number, how on earth can I even look at the port number assigned by default to a new account in Apple Mail 10.6 setup ?
    I might have to trial and error different port numbers but when Mail tries to test the connection to the SMTP server after I enter its address, it just spins and hangs up. I suspect the reason is a wrong port number. How do I change that outgoing port number in Apple Mail ??
    There seems to be no obvious way the program will let U do it or even let you view the port it assigns in apparent error.

    there is no way to change the smtp port during the original account creation. you can usually wait Mail out if it's spinning its wheels at this point. I've had to wait about 15-20 minutes a few times. eventually Mail lets you through even if it fails to connect to the smtp server. then, once the account is created you can edit the smtp server and try a few different ports and settings. that's done in system preferences->accounts. click on teh smtp server at the bottom and select 'edit smtp server list". then in the popup click "advanced".

  • Changing port number for mobile server after installation

    hi,
    i am using windows 2003 server release 2,oracle 11g database R2 and oracle database lite 10g R3. i have installed mobile server successfully with port 80 but when i start the mobile server i receive an error stating that the port 80 is already in use. Now i need to change the port number of the mobile server. can anyone tell me the solution.

    If the Oracle Lite installation type is STANDALONE , then to change the Olite port number to any other available free port number , you have to edit the file default-web-site.xml or http-web-site.xml file present in $OLITE_HOME/mobile_oc4j/j2ee/mobileserver/config directory.
    You can change the port any time in http-web-site.xml file and bounce the services, the new port will take effect.

  • Trying to change back INCOMING server port number

    I was trying to figure out how to SEND email via my iPhone 3G. I can send email fine while at home (using my wireless router), but when I'm out and about I cannot SEND email. How do I do this?
    In trying to figure this out on my own I was reading about my Comcast email account that said to change the port number. I accidentally change the INCOMING port number from 110 to 25. So, I know it needs to be 110, but everytime I change it in the Settings to 110 it automatically changes it back to 25 after I try to retrieve emails within the Mail option. What's going on?
    Help!

    To send email, you need to add cwmx.com under the smtp servers.
    I'm having the same problem with setting my incoming server port to 110. I've been able to change it by opening Apple's mail client and editing the account preferences.
    Then I went into iTunes and on the bottom of the info tab is a "Replace information on this iPhone" section. I checked the Mail Account tab and hit the sync button.
    This did change my server ports to the correct ports, but I'm still having problems getting the iPhone's mail app to refresh using the new settings. I don't know how force the ports to change via windows.
    I had to turn off the iPhone and restart it to get it to work. I also had to turn off the SSL under the advance tab. Little uncertain about leaving that setting.
