Changing antenna power on lightweight 521

I have a 526 controller managing 3 lightweight 521 APs.  I would like to config the APs for maximum distance even if it brings down the data performace a bit since these APs are 99% used for voice.  I can't find where to do this on the 526 managment screens.  Also, I can't seem to manage the APs by pointing a web browser to their IP.  Is this normal when they are LWAPP?
Thanks,
Diego

During the site survey, we used the 1230 and assigned tx power based on 100mw, 50, 30, 10, 5.. so on.. on the AP. But when we implemented the controller-based, the transmit power were replaced with 'power levels', 1,2,3,4... so on... I read somewhere that 1 is the max and as the level increases, it is 50% less. say, 1=100mw, 2=50 mw, 3=25mw, 4=12.5, 5=6.25 and so on...
the confusion is, some AP's were set to 30mw of tx power during the site survey. Which level should be the euqivalent as tx power level on the wlc-based deployment? is it safe to assign the 30mw site survey data to the #3 tx power level on the controller?
And do you have ideas on the effect of using or assigning the country codes of the controller. If US is used, what is the max power level value, 100mw? And if US is used as country code, can we used any AP on any country domain. I checked out the chart, but it's quite confusing. Hope you can, or anyone can, shed light on this.
Thanks for any ideas.... Argh!

  • Changing to power-saving results in losing picture on the screeen

    Hi,
Product name: HP Pavilion dv6-6093ex Entertainment Notebook PC support.
    Product number: LM610EA#A2N
When changing to power-saving GPU, then Radeon got disabled and no picture on the screeen is shown.
I really had been facing a problem with my Windows 7 Home premium 64Bit, then I have only done a repair install, which
didn't delete all the drivers and programs. However, before doing the repair install, I was recommended to uninstall AMD
Readon and Intel(R) Management Engine Interface.(AS shown below). Thus, I have uninstalled the AMD Readon, and Intel(R)Management Engine Interface.
Upgrading Windows will affect the following devices and/or programs:
These devices might not work properly after the upgrade. Before upgrading, we recommend updating the drivers for these
devices. Cancel the upgrade, open Control Panel and search for "update device drivers", or go to the device manufacturer's
website to search for updated drivers.
System devices: Intel(R) Management Engine Interface
These programs might not work properly after the upgrade. We recommend uninstalling these programs before upgrading. Cancel the upgrade, open Control Panel, and search for "uninstall a program". (Note: Programs marked as * can be safely reinstalled after the upgrade.)
    ATI Catalyst Control Center *
When the repair install got completed, then I found that Grphics adapter is still functining well since there are no ! mark in front of the adapters: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family and Radeon(TM) HD 6770M in the device manager.
Once I changed the GUP from High-performance GPU to Power-saving GPU, then I lost the pircuter on the Screen.
When I lost the picuter on the screen while on Windows in normal mode, I booted to the safe mode, then opened the device manager, and I saw that Radeon(TM) HD 6770M was disabled
To get picture again,  I enabled Radeon(TM) HD 6770M (screen shot below) while in Safe mode:
When restarting my PC and started Windows in the noraml mode,  the picture returned on the screeen.
Whenever changing to power-saving GPU, then the same problem happens.
Will I need to reinstall the AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver, although there are no ! mark in front of the Intel(R) HD Graphics Family and Radeon(TM) HD 6770M  in the device manager?

    Thank you so much indeed,
Could you please take some of your precious time out to really answer these questions below of mine?
Firstly:: I really have run this Utility(amdcleanuputility) to remove all components of the prvious installation of AMD Radeon and Mobile Inte Graphics.
I was propmted that  tool will do as it is shown below in the screen shot.
I agreed. Then, it completed. Is 'AMD cleanup utility' recommended by you?
Then, the graphics adapters in the device manager became as follows:
Secondly: I think that it is now the point to reinstall AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver_Software Packaging Numbr(SP55092)_Driver Version 8.882.2.3000.
Thirdly: Moreover, I would be saying that I lost the audio on my System once the (amdcleanuputility) has completed, although its icon is still intact(screen shot below)
Must I need to reinstall IDT High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver_Sp55094_Version6.10.6345.0????
Finally::  in your link about downloading the drivers for my product name. I found Driver-Graphics (5) . However, all what I need is the finall one which is an already-downloaded file with me. Could you please let me know what about the other four graphics drivers????????

  • Does changing a power supply require thermal calibration?

Hi all. I recently changed the power supply on a Late 2005 dual core 2.0 GHz G5 and now the fans are on full bore from startup. Of the 2 fans in the rear of the CPU, only the bottom one (where the 2nd processor would go if it was a quad) was going nuts, the top seemed normal. I swapped that fan with another one and now the top one is spinning away and the bottom seems normal. At first I thought it was only the rear fans but now I think it's all of them. I removed the clear deflector shield, which would normally make the fans kick it up a notch, but they didn't. I think they're already maxed out. The LED on the LB goes off when the clear door is in place so I know it's being seen. It does this with or without a hard drive installed and it does it when booting from an OS disc. I guess my question is: does replacing the PSU require the Apple Service Diagnostic disc? I thought that was only if the CPU was swapped. I put the same one back in. Other than the fans everything is working again. Thanks in advance.

Well, quite frankly, I haven't a clue as to what you might have forgotten. I think that there is a point of no return that you reach where you will need a calibration no matter how you back out, but I don't know what that point is. I've never swapped a PSU in a PMG5.
You, fiveinchwrench, are one of the few brave souls that have both done this an posted your results
I am simply trying to think of things that maybe you haven't. Maybe something is wrong with one of the fans in addition to needing the calibration. I figured that you double and triple checked everything, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
    Luck-

    Dears,
I use to have wireless infrastructure based on autonomous APs 1142n, auth w/ 802.1x and everything was fine.
My Company decided to implement WLC 5508, and I changed only 2nd floor (2 APs) as lightweight and implement WLC over there as pilot testing...
Now All persons here (around 35 clients) are complaining about disconnections, poor signal...
Both APs are distant each other maximim of 15 meters... Our office has a medium open spaced room, with (20 X 15 meters) only 2 "Pilaster" in the middle of the room.

    Thanks in advance!!!

Actually I am using both APs as lightweight in 2nd floor.
How about this power level? where I can find those parameters ?
At 3rd floor all APs are autonomous, I accessed one of them and find this parameter
    CCK Transmitter Power (dBm):           Max

is that the parameter you talked about ?

  • How can I change my power regulator to a new one?

In august 24,2010, I bought a macbook pro 13-inch from apple on-line store. But today, my power regulator of magsafe was broken. I don't know what's wrong with it. I use my friend's magsafe, and his magsafe is good. So I want to change another. How can I change a new magsafe? If I post this broken magsafe, what information must be post with magsafe? You can check my purchased on this account last month. Thank you

  • How I can change a power pivot without change the power charts that are suing that power pivot as source?

    Hi All
    My issues using an Example,
I've a power pivot with 3 related tables, (two dimension tables and one measure table), then I created a pivot chart using
    that 3 tables as source...
The pivot chart is a little complex... it takes some time to rebuild from the scratch... I have added 3 measures to the chart,
M1, M2, M3... but due to a business changes I need to refresh the measures M1, M2, M3 with information from a different source...
i.e. I need to drop the 3 measures from the Power Pivot, then I need to add them again with the same names, but when I drop
them from the power pivot table  the pivot Chart Fields Values disappear and the chart obviously is refreshed without the 3 measures... :S
Question: How can I drop a column from a power pivot table, then add it again with the same name without affect the Pivot
Chart Fields... i.e. only when I do the refresh manually the charts are affected... but once the name of the columns are the same.. the charts don't change the layout....
    Thanks Very Much!!!
    Luis

    Luis,

  • My t61 - no power after changing the power jack

    Hello guys,
So the long story short , the power jack on my t61 wasn't working.I bought the new one , changed it today , I am pluging it -no power at all.I dont think its the charger as up until the end it was working , its here to say i havent started the laptop for about 3 months .It was a pain to start it before , i had to twist the power jack in every possible was just to make it power on.So my concern right now is whether the motherboard is dead or not.
Please anything you have like a clue will be more that appritiated!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

There isn't much required to get the power light to come on. It is possible you shorted something out. IT is possible something isn't plugged in all the way. Even if the CPU isn't in or the memory isn't seated, you would get the power light. Is it possible that all the twisting before broke the wire between the ac adapter and the machine? Can you get another power supply to try?

  • How do I change the power from 220 to 110?cc=au

I have moved from Australia to Canada. In moving my things over, I brought over my HPE-070a computer. I need to change it over from 220 V to 110 V but I cannot find the information as to how to do so in the manuals. Can you please advise me on how to do so please.

    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

On the back of the desktop where the Power supply (where you plug it in) usually there is a red or black indented slide switch.  yours probably is showing 220 and you want to slide it the other way to show 110 or 115.  Notice this pic  what i am talking about is the red switch between the plug and the power switch.

  • How to change the power mode in Win 7

    Hello,
I'm not really good in english (I'm dutch) only when i talking about games or something not at technical stuff but i'll try to explain
Since a couple weeks i have windows 7 running on this laptop.
First i had vista but that was bad. Windows 7 is working much better.
Anyway i did update my laptop with the drivers from this site.
When i was running it i was missing something.
On the right hand side where you can chance your "energy schedule" you can choose between low performence and balanced.
Well on vista i had also high performence but not now.
Is there an update for where i can chance that?
If so please can someone tell me where to find that update.
    greetings,
    me
took me 10 minuts to post this because of Your message contains profanity or inappropriate language.
In the interests of your fellow forum users, we would ask you to amend your message.

    Hi
Windows 7 is a little bit different as Vista OS.
But you can change the settings in Power Options which can be found in Control Panel.
Go to Control Panel -> Power Options
There you can find these both options; Low performance and balanced performance.
The high performance is hidden you will need to click on the arrow which would open the option where the high performance mode is placed.
    But you can also create an own power mode;
On the left you can find the option: Create power mode (or something like that.. sorry its just translated)
There you could find a option which allows you to choose the high performance.

  • Changed the Power Supply, but now just get a Yellow Trickle LED

and no start up. Did I do something wrong? Did the reset on the Logic Board and nothing.  Should I take it all apart and try again?

I do actually, that's how I changed the original power supply.  I even tightened the screws in order and stuff.  I actually talked to a tech in NYC at Digital Society and he felt the Logic Board was shot. I have decided to stop investing money into the thing and buy a Mac Pro.  Anyone need a new Power Supply? or have a good logic board they don't need.... lol

  • Does Toshiba 39L4333 support antenna power supply

I can't find anywhere information about that feature,
Can this TV supply active antenna?

I think such feature should be mentioned in user manual in case it would be supported.
    http://www.toshiba-om.net/LCD/PDF/English/L4333-323950-English.pdf
The user manual (page 7) provides details and information about the available sockets.
It looks like the LNB IN (Satellite antenna L436* series only) supports 18V / 400mA Max power.
Other antenna port does not provide power.

Wondering why you bought an SFF in the first place?  Why not simply go with the tower M93p to begin with, as it certainly solves all of your structural issues if you know in advance you're going to want to make hardware upgrades from the factory M93p.
Seems like what you've now said you're going to do (case-wise including the expense, to make room for a larger full-size graphics card along with a more powerful PSU to support it) owould have been completely avoided, if only you'd gone with the Lenovo tower case in the first place.
