Any way to change apps names?

No. You can put them in folders and name the folders as you like, but the app's developer names the app.

I was looking at my apps and discovered some games with names in
oriental characters.
I found out that these apps are named "InvisMazeFree" and "GoldMiner",
by finding them in the Finder. (or by telling my device to delete
them from the device).   I also found an app "Routes", that I can't find with Search - because Search (and the file name) finds "Rutas".
I did a "get info" on them in iTunes, but the names are
write-protected.   I'd like to change their names on the iPad, so
people can search for them without knowing which folder they are in.
A similar issue is having a book app "Best of Sherlock Holmes", being categorized as "business".   I'd like to correct that as well.
I'll check to see if my grandchildren play with these, and if not,
delete them.   But other than deleting them, am I stuck with these app
names?

You cannot change app names, so, like you said, you can either keep them as they are, or delete them.

Using openbox, and I would like to change the default title of my firefox3 window.

Settings>Store...tap the ID shown...sign out...sign back in with the ID you want to use.
Note: Apps are forever tied to the Apple ID used to originally obtain them. They cannot be updated using any other Apple ID other than the one they were originally obtained with.

I think you can't change the name I the moments. It's grouped by the iOS. You can choose photos and create albums though.

The only way to change the filename of an image is to export the image with a new filename: When exporting you can select the title a s a new filename.
Then reimport the renamed file to Photos and delete the original version.

There have been reports about malware being included with unofficial software downloaded and installed from unknown and untrusted sources with a hacked iPhone. You are certainly accustomed to constant virus, adware, and malware concerns with Windows, but not worth it to me to change the name of an iPhone app which may render an official app unusable.

I have now changed the apple ID to my own, but I cannot use my $20.00 credit in itune on this app. It says app. was purchased under another ID and i must purchase app. in my ID. Yes as long as you use the same Apple ID for iTunes that you used to download the app originally.

Cannot find info in the manual but I thought that I read it somewhere. Is there a way to change the name of purchased apps? I know you can change folder names but what about app names?? Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

To the best of my knowledge you can't alter any app in any way, including the name. Not sure why you would want to do so, but you can always just delete the app and add it back without additional costs whenever you need to use it...not sure if that would address your reasoning for wanting to change the name of the app though.

Changing App's name

Is there a way to change the name of an app, or remove the app name so that only the icon shows?
Some of the apps have names that are way too long, and they show up as something like "BBCNe...ional." I don't mind if it fits but it looks kinda annoying (I know, I'm being anal).

I always try to name my apps something short so it shows up right, but it isn't enforced or anything. Completely up to the developer.
